[Q] [XOOM2/XYBOARD] How to read NTFS volumes - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I just updated my Xoom 2 to ICS (at last). I was hoping that it would bring the possibility to read NTFS usb keys but it doesn't.
So I was wondering if there was a (preferably) easy way to make this tablet read NTFS devices, now that it is on ICS and that we can root it.
Thanks.

anyone?
anyone have an answer?

Once rooted, install "Paragon NTFS & HFS+" from Google Play.

Install on SD Card - donut

I have searched some forums and have seen some people say that if you are rooted then you can install apps to the SD card. Is there an app for this or does anyone have a link to instructions on how?
I do have Super User for Donut.
(I apologize if this is a duplicate question, I did some searching and didn't find the answer)

Tronsmart T428 XBMC Plugs

Hi Guys,
I am hoping someone can link me to a Working XBMC and set of plugins.... I have tried several versions, all load onto the T428 just fine, but when installing all the plugins and repo's, many report back as being "broken" or dont start all... Also the streaming is from my PC is poor, buffering on some files....
Playback from the device direct from Mico SD is fine
Thanks in advance !
Have you tried using the xoon q2 dongle firmware?

Just wondering, why would I use that? is it confirmed as working on the Tronsmart T428? I would not want to brick my device...

Have a look on their forum and look for Www.xbmcandroidtv.com/org.xbmc.xbmc.zip it has all the plugins working. Info is on the Exoon website forum. Once their firmware is out I will be flashing to that but as of now this is the best method I know to solve your broken plugins.

[Completed] Help! Installed 16gb software udpdate 1.4.0 to 8gb Nook

I apologize if this has been addressed. My son installed the 16gb 1.4.0 software/acclaim.zip file to his 8gb BNTV250a , which was 1.4.3 and it will no longer boot/turn on. Is there an easy fix to this. I am pretty computer savvy, so am hoping to fix if possible. Thanks so much for your help.

Here is the General Help thread for your device.
So read this first. And this is also a good place to ask your question, if you can't find a working solution.
There is a warning for BNTV250A users:
if you attempt to flash any other ROM
e.x: stock 1.4.0, CM7 internal, MIUI, acclaim-update.zip, etc...
¡¡¡YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE!!!

So it was a very bad idea to flash the acclaim.zip for the 16gb model.
Fortunately there are some UNBRICK Methods listed and linked in the first post.
Hope that one of them will fix your device.

[Q] vold.fstab - Swapping Internal / External SD Card(s)

Hey guys,
I haven't found any info on the forums about this yet. Does anyone know how to/or have a modified vold.fstab for the stock TouchWiz rom?
I have a general idea on what to do, but I'd rather not attempt this one by myself!
Thanks in advance - zmag

I know what you are wanting to do but can't help you much with this. Would need to research it more myself. Might check out FolderMount in the meantime. It works good for moving selected apps to the ext sdcard while still keeping internal compatibility. Also is very easy to use IMO.

[Q] Which kernel enables USB Host (OTG) for Nexus S I9020 with android jb 4.1.2

Hello every one. I'm trying to use usb flash on my nexus s, I've found an ADATA model with Micro USB support and wanna use it as external memory.
Does anyone know which kernel has the support for the USB host for jelly bean 4.1.2 on Nexus S? I searched and only found one guide to enable it on 4.0.3 which is old and also inconvenient. Any help would be much appreciated. :good:

Well I did. Did you? That's why I asked the community. Searching is much easier than making a new thread, But it does not work all the time. You could be much more helpful with your answer rather than preaching.
