first of all i would like to tell you that my knowledge about rooting of phones is very low .
i would like to know how to root my phone, which is the best latest ROM for my htc desire s 2.3.5 sense 3 which and i would like to upgrade on the latest OS . Please can somebody give me explanation in detailes . More i read this posts about rooting, roms, os i am more confused .

I'm a new android user who just bought a new android phone, HTC desire S. I've been searching all over the Desire S forum but can't find a tutorial on flashing the custom ROM. Also, I don't understand what is S-Off and other stuffs as this is very new to me.. Hope someone could guide me. Thanks!

you can do it with "superoneclick" tool.. you don´t seen it in desire s thread?

Hello everyone first of all i want to apologize for my english , i'm looking for a kind person who can help me install a new rom including matching the correct radio' fireware as well as all the necessary things that the rom requires to work properly ... i'm good at this stuff for that reason im asking somebody to help me . i really appreciate your help in advance

in every rom before u install just read all the op. thr is explained how to install, what is required (possibly with links) or any bugs. just read the 1st page i hope u can do by urself.

if u really dont und nothing thn better find someone near u. who can do this for u. because by ur mistake its very much possible to make the toy brick. perhaps u can see this video for some idea http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSPyOdPDgdU
check list
1. unlocked bootloader and s-off ( search for revolutionary)
2. Custom recovery ( search for 4ext recovery)
3. find a good rom ( i recon Elegancia 3.6 (blitz) or Android revolution HD)
4.Happy flashing.

my Sensation of T-mobile is already rooted and S-off ( it came to me like that they probably done it at the store or something ) all i need is to install another rom because the Elegancia 3.1.1 is what im using right now and its very slow and makes me problems . now , for installing Revolution HD i need to change radio and fireware?

if you have 3.32 firmware thn no. but download t-mobile version ARHD.

Guys iam new in this amazing android world after a bunch of years in the lazy ass Symbian town :laugh:
So iam not good at rooting and such that is why my friend got my phone rooted hhhhh so my question is how to upgrade my phone’s hboot??? because i want to install a rom that needs a higher hboot than the one in stock .. my htc one s (ville c2) hboot now is -2.09... and it should be 2.11....
Please check the rom((http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2000854)) and give me your answers and would it work if i don't upgrade it or something
Ps: guys remember iam a noob so please please use simple and easy words .. and sorry if there is some mistakes because my English is not very good .... peace
