hi all!
ever since i got my vox ive been experiencing problems like this.
it only happens sometime and its difficult to reproduce. but problem is as follow..
people send me sms's (sometimes quite alot) and on their phone it just say pending. then if they phone me or just give me a miss call i recieve all the smses at once. but sometimes even when they try to phone me it goes to voice mail. my phone always have full signal during all of this. most of the time im experiencing this problem is when im using my phone as a gprs modem for my pc. i need to know if i should take the phone back or what? but how can i proof ive got this problem? i even updated phone to latest radio and still got problem. any help or suggestions pse!
I am not sure but I think the sms thing happens with my device also, but I have no idea how that could be possible.

What Radio versions do you have? If older upgrade to 4.1.13.54_03.10.90
I was on version 4.1.13.54_03.10.90 for some time
but i found the earlier version to be more stable.
just a personal experience.
but i guess i'll give 4.1.13.54_03.10.90 a second shot.

thanx i found ur link on another thread some time ago and i upgraded my radio. but its been 2weeks now and no improvement. my previous radio was something like x.x.34_xx.xx.xx or so. but yes, i do however think that i get better signal. cos on old radio when phone was on my desk it was 90% signal acording to the signal icon on home screen. now its 100. another thing about vox is when u type with qwerty ur hand blocks the antenna weakning the signal. kinda stupid as in most phone manuals they say u shouldnt put ur hand over the antenna area while in call or sms. haha!
but pse any ideas r welcome! im gonna use my sim in another phone for a bit to see if problem is with my sim or phone

I have the same problem, most boring one.
Time after time, the phone stops receiving phone calls (line busy if you are calling me, I cant call because the green button doesn't do anything if i press it after I type the number or choose the contact) and some other times SMS messages. I keep the Vox close to my speakers and they make the sound like when you are receiving call/sms (can't describe it, but i think you get me) but nothing happens. And after 2 hours people call me and complain why I didn't reply to their SMS...
If someone finds what is the problem and solution to it I will be thankfull to him/her untill my Vox is alive.
Many options with new ROMs are great thing. But if the SP doesn't do it primary duty (make & receive calls and SMS messages) it's worthless.
I have it tested with 3 ROMs and the problem apeared with every one and each of them.
The default one, don't know the version. The radio was earlier version than 4.1.13.54_03.10.90.
Then I tryed 6.1 v1.0a of Dr. Gonzo.
And now I have for 3 days the 6.1 v1.1. At least once I noticed that problem with this, latest, version.

i dont think u got exactly the same problem. cos whenever im not receiving sms or calls for a while then when i make a call or send a sms all my msgs deliver to me at one time. so what im trying to say is that i am indeed able 2 make calls all the time. i think ur problem mite b caused by a 3rd party app on ur phone? btw i had my problem with original rom, guava rom, 6.1a and im downloading 6.1 v1.1 now. but i can tell u its gonna b the same. its not a rom based issue.

Exemple : I power on the phone at 9h00, that all, and at 11h00 i would like to call a friend, phonebook-->frient-->call mobile and i press the green button it doesn't do anything. Impossible to call someone
I press the voicemail button : no result.
I must reboot.
Exemple 2 : I do anything my friend call me, my phone is power on, good reception, -->He have voicemail !!
I must reboot..

PLEASE people lets all give our radio version and rom versions etc so we can pinpoint this problem. it seems that quite a few people are actually experiencing this problem and they dont even realise it.
it does seem that the vox gets in a type of a bottleneck with sms and calls. all ur smses gets jammed and then as soon as i send a sms it blasts open the jam and lets my sms's thru. no point in talking to service provider customer care as they are all idiots

My radio version is : 4.1.13.54_03.10.90
My rom version is Wm6.1 v1.1 : 5.2.19195 (build 19202.1.0.0)
I have just R66mobile7, but i don't think it interfere with my call button
Same problem for me even with the last version of the radio...
I had the same problem with the original rom after installing native voip but no problem with hard reboot without installing native voip on the original rom.
On this morning, I made a hard reboot and didn't install my voip settings only to see...
I will let u know if there are some changes...

no route 66 wont interfere. i was thinking more along the lines of smart toolkit etc. it does seem like u got same problem. im read on another thread that the arabic version radio mite be better. so go check on the vox wiki and test the arabic radio. its the second newest version. im gonna try it 2. wil let u know
i never used voip before. but i do however notice if i use my phone as a gprs modem for an hour or so, then i usually send a sms to my gd and all her smses deliver at the same time. now, seeing as voip uses the gprs connection 2. it does seem that the problem is related to gprs being used. my guess is that it has to do with the fact that when u are using ur gprs and someone phones or sms u thru gsm connection ur gprs is supposed to cut out, a gsm connection gets esstablished, and when the connection terminates, ur gprs connection re connects again. now we need to find out if this happens with other devices using voip. and please test it with ur devices also. (while connected with gprs and using voip see if sms deliver to u)

i will test with the arabic radio, and my voip setting.
result tomorrow.
i just u.dated to 6.1 v1.1 and installed the arabic radio. everything seems to b working fine. ill let u know as soon as i experience my first problem
nope! no luck. i just disconnected from my internet sharing app. i send a sms, and 3 smses delivered to me that should have came thru 30mins ago! damn. gonna try another radio now. if this doesnt work i tried all the radio versions on the wiki. and i honestly dont know how to fix the problem.
anyone know what the difference is between chap and pap authentication in gprs settings? and in csd line type settings.. should it b transparent or not transparent. any one can tell me the difference and if this could probably make a difference?
lastly, can i ask if anyone that is certain they not experiencing this problem can maybe tell me what their csd line settings are?
after hard reset i installed myvoipsetting too ... still work perfect.
i think prob is solved with simply hard reset
ok im happy for u! i did hard reset but still had problem. pse let me know once u experience this problem again. in the meantime i changed my csd line type to transparent. no problems so far... i guess i was thinking that transparent wouldnt block as much sms and calls as non transparent! hehe! will let u know. pse will u check ur csd line settings 2? its under start/settings/csd line type/connection element

I have htc TD2 , htc HD , htc hero all unlocked and used SIM from T-mobile and AT&T. Actually when I started to look in phone loggerbook when , all 4 of my home CP and laptops were freeze , then all 3 cell phones and 2 of home landline - wireless-also downed with in 5-10 minutes .So I called the ISP ( Comcast) so they may be could help . They said nothing wrong with their end but the speed of DSL was slowwwww, they asked me to check the router and to find out our PIN was changed??? not only on the router but also the PC admins password .

So with their help I be able to assigned a new PIN and password for the router and PC . And just to find out 5minutes later the newly PIN and password were wiped out and replaced .Trojen virus and some kids hacking my home system ???? Please help . Every thing is still running now but 5-6 hours we have to reboot again , and those ErrorRep is still running in the back ground none stop .Sometimes checked on MSM ,MMS , Listen ,GMS , GRPS -24 hours -even the phone is OFF , w/o battery .
Whenever I look at the battery usage in the settings , I always see my Galaxy Fit is using wifi, maps and facebook apps even though they are already turned off.. How can I turn it off??? My wifi uses 7% and the maps and facebook uses 2%.. Somebody help me..
Someone said to me that it is normal because I used the app previously, it only shows how much percentage the app/wifi will use in draining the battery.. Sorry for my bad english.. Thank you..
I already reboot/restarted the phone but still it shows.. I already unchecked all the wifi, gps etc etc..
BTW, my firmware is Gingerbread 2.3.4, updated through KIES.. No other modifications done..
Hope someone will help me..

Try closing their processes by using a Task Manager app....

Does it remain at 7% and 2% resp. or does it increase with time??
It remains at 7% and 2% and doesn't increase with time.. But when I uses WiFi, then it increases, someone said Task Killer uses battery a lot.. That is why I didn't download it..
help ... help ... sorry but my English is very bad, now follow the steps to make this update and everything worked fine until it reaches the connections wifi and bluetooth.

I have installed Custom Rom of "Ravi H Bashwa" (aokpV9 4.1.2 jellybean nightly build) in my GALAXY FIT GT-S5670
But after that i am facing a problem regarding my phones WiFi Connectivity.
When ever i am trying to open my phones WiFi it is not opening and goes to reboot.
please some one please help me OUT!!!!!

Hi... My phone is acting madly... Wifi unreasonably and randomly gets unable to connect to any network after turning it off and on... And I have to turn it off, then reboot the phone twice sequentially so that it works again. I have also changed the framework2.jar file with HTCZ715E's and it is that which has made it work to this extent... Anyone knows a wifi fix for JB?
I have deleted wpa_supplicant too by the way.

It's supposed to be fixed in Venom Tweaks; I asked ivicask for it and he saif it's already available as "force enable wifi n support" if I'm not wrong. So, we've gotta wait till it's released.

Try to enable "airplane mode", enter your PIN code and after that disable it again.
I've try it and resolve my problem with WIFI...

Try to get app gerRIL and match RADIO with your kernel - if possible use Mobile Data for that (hope you have internet plan) , other wise ,you will have to download it manually and transfer to sd card

I lost my phone in Stockholm this weekend. It seems like it has no power in it, because i cant recieve any connections with it!
Is it possible to track it with IMEI ? and someone here that can do it? or is it only the police that is allowed to do that?
iv had only find on Ip-adress and it is this

Place: Stockholm, Sweden
IP-adress: 77.218.242.173
and i wasnt in stockhom that time, does it means that someone allready have it ? :/
Ive tryed to install som other security apps, but it seem like the phone is not powerd on.
anybody here that can help me get it back ? im most sad over all pictures thats on it thats gone....: (

Sadly, I believe there is nothing you can do about it. Most location services for mobile phones (including Google's Android device manager and Samsung's take on it) rely on an active internet connection, so you've probably got few minutes to work with if you lose your phone - that is untill someone finds it and powers it off or just cuts the internet connection.
The best you could do about it is to put the IMEI of your phone in the carriers' blacklist so that no one can use it again... in theory.
