[Q] Damn WiFi issue... Unfixable this time... - HTC Sensation

Hi... My phone is acting madly... Wifi unreasonably and randomly gets unable to connect to any network after turning it off and on... And I have to turn it off, then reboot the phone twice sequentially so that it works again. I have also changed the framework2.jar file with HTCZ715E's and it is that which has made it work to this extent... Anyone knows a wifi fix for JB?
I have deleted wpa_supplicant too by the way.

It's supposed to be fixed in Venom Tweaks; I asked ivicask for it and he saif it's already available as "force enable wifi n support" if I'm not wrong. So, we've gotta wait till it's released.

Try to enable "airplane mode", enter your PIN code and after that disable it again.
I've try it and resolve my problem with WIFI...
Hope it helps...

Hi,
Try to get app gerRIL and match RADIO with your kernel - if possible use Mobile Data for that (hope you have internet plan) , other wise ,you will have to download it manually and transfer to sd card

Hey guys, I've been having a problem with the wifi on my universal for awhile, it just won't turn on, antenna stays off, no scanning, it's just off.
Going into the Wireless lan settings in the control panel "Wireless LAN OFF" is displayed, click "Turn on WLAN" it thinks for a few moments then returns to off with nothing changed.
Does anyone know if this is fixable? It doesn't appera to be a software issue, as it has continued on 3 diffreent ROMs... so i'm not sure how to proceed

hi @ all
this tread is a bit "past" but now i got the problem mentioned by balur.
i actually use maxstegis rom(5.2), but i also tried it with te shipped one from t-mobile.
i used google and the forum search, but i was not able to find a solution. i hope smb. can help me, because i need the wifi tomorrow!
1) Perhaps some of these ROMs are based on others that have the same problem.
solution: choose another ROM. Tomal8.2, minhanhtran, nncuong are ROMs that I vouch for that work on my maching with no WIFI problems
2) Perhaps your radio is not good
solution: try flashing another radio. I use 1.18, but many say 1.15 is the most stable. I have had problems with neither - but it may be worth reflashing your radio to make sure it is ok and stable.
Personally, I think if your original t-mobile ROM doesn't work, then you have problems with phone hardware. First I'd check other things can connect to you WLAN, to make sure it's definately the phone that's not good - or perhaps try and connect to a friends WLAN.

how can connect to a friends wlan? Quote(Balur): "returns to off with nothing changed." i cant even turn it on!
but thanks for your help!!!
I've the same problem with Tomal's 8.2. An other rooms I've tried.
The only thing I did was to change my 2Gb SD to a 4Gb HDSD
I experienced automatical turning off WiFi on Tomal 8.2 when i installed some tweaks - one to edit system settings and speed up Uni, second to disallow applications turn on GPRS - only manual turn on.
I'm not sure which of them was causing it .... don't you have something like that installed?
I'll try to find exact names of them when I'll have a while ...
Yes I had the XCPU Scalar. But now, even if I install an Original Shipped ROM, I can't turn on the wifi. I think that something is swiched off permanently, but I don't know what nor how.

[Solved] CM7: downgrade from RC1v2 to RC0 due to wifi probs

With CM7 RC1v2 I get serious problems with wifi and minor problems with GPS. Plus Gmaps freezes, even with Setvls tuned. So I tried to revert to RC0 but that gives me bootloops.
My settings: German Froyo base.
My steps: w and w/o cache/dalvik clear. Replaced wifi driver with the one from RC0. Did't work.
I'm on a trip through europe, 5000 km from home. So I can't do big downloads.
Any idea how to solve the problem?
How to downgrade, how to fix wifi/gps?
Thx
honestly, it's urgent. sorry for bumping.
U need to redo every thing to go
Back to rc0 ie flash sbf n all that...
Try to clear cache n davlik cache...
that's all I know.. .
Swyped from my MB525 using XDA Premium App
I found a solution for wifi problem by myself w/o downgrade:
Delete the file /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf and reboot.
Make a backup if you want to recover passwords of your wifi networks. Didn't manage to include old pw in new file but I'm happy.
What kind of problems ins wifi u have?
I'm asking cause i got some problems too, in my case the wifis spots was not showing when wifi turned on, just showing the ones that was saved when i used.
Deleting them solved but temporarily only, cause sometimes i need to put forget in some saved spots that have a big password, then later need to rewrite all the passwords, and its annoying.
Had your problem exactly. Never tried deleting old ones.
strange thins some users (me 2) had problems with the wifi from rc0 maybe its a phone thing or some hardware differences
In my case wifi always disconnects. I only can solve this problem if i reconnect.
But it always happens again.
Should i try the same thing than measel ?
i don't know. but since it's easier then reinstall...maybe it's worth a try. i just found out by trial and error. just be sure to make a backup.
so i deleted this file and it seems to work out for me. Didn't have this problem since then
sorry i was wrong, my problem is still there

[Q] Htc Mango Driver v3 on Trophy

Hi,
I need help installing the htc mango driver v3 because with the current version i cant connect to my home wlan network which is built on a ddwrt router, before i installed the update everything was working fine, i also tried it my gf's IPhone and with it i can connect without a problem. I cooked my own custom rom firmware but i really dont know how to put the new htc driver in it.
I saw that the htc mango driver v3 is avialable for Htc Hd7..
Config: WPA2 encryption, mac filter disabled, dhcp
tried: DFT rom, Ansar Rom and the one which i created myself
Phone: HTC Trophy with custom rom
I hope someone can help me (((
I was having the same issue so I am looking into it now.
Hi i tried to flash a custom rom and after installing a wifi hack i was a able to set the ip. I also found this solution if you already have a developer unlocked phone:
sensboston said:
You can do that via the registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\<YourAdapter>\Parms\TcpIp]
"EnableDHCP"=dword:0
"DefaultGateway"="192.168.1.1"
"UseZeroBroadcast"=dword:0
"IpAddress"="192.168.1.100"
"Subnetmask"="255.255.255.0"
4 example, <YourAdapter> for Samsung Focus is BCMSDDHD1
Of course, the "DefaultGateway" and "IpAddress" should fit your router settings (some routers configured to use 192.168.0.x subnet)

Hi there,
I have tried to figure out a solution for this problem for over a week, just today I thought I might fix it by installing the latest NextGen+ rom after taking pains to downgrade the spl.
But still no wifi... it seaches then shows "no networks found"...
My wildfire s.. picks up many. I have no MAC filtering, using DHCP and on channel 7.... tried everything.
I read someone called "thesmack" saying he fixed a similar issue by getting a "V3 Driver" update by HTC from XDA but I cant find it, and he didnt share any links.
Please if anyone knows the solution to this problem help me out, by having no wifi the phone is worth little.
I suggest you turn of wifi and then turn on bluetooth. reboot phone and turn on wifi. I had the same problem. but now is ok

Unfortunatly that didnt work. I flashed an old radio (nodo) to see if it would work, still nothing. But funnily this morning when I switched on the phone it showed the small "networks available" icon, yet when I went into wifi... it refused to let me see the page, then after a while of trying it came up and didnt detect anything.
This is SOME bug that its taken so long, with giants like MS and HTC unable to resolve it.

[Q] Wifi Issue

I own a HTC One S with stock vodafone (gb) rom, rooted, ICS 4.0.3, Touch 4.0. As I see a lot of people have similar issues as mine, however, I wasn't able to find a working solution. So the problem is that the phone stopped being able to connect to wifi networks - no matter if secured or free. I tried to change the settings from dhcp to static, stll nothing. It goes through connecting>obtaining ip address>authenticating>saved,secure... in whatever order, and the cycle repeats over and over... Sometimes bars appear, blink and disappear again. I had no wifi problems until last night, when I went to a place with free wifi, and for the first time I could not connect to it. After that the issue continued at home. Restarting the router/phone don't work. Has anybody found a working solution?

Not a good solution but you could try a factory reset if nothing else works.
-Sent from my TMOUS HTC One S.-
-Stock/rooted 2.21 + 1.06s baseband-
-Hboot 1.06-
I rebooted the phone a few times (waiting 6 mins when off) without fastboot on and on the third time it started working. I hope this doesn't happen again... As I searched through the forums I saw a lot of people having similar issues mainly with dhcp.. hope there's a fix for that...
Problem appeared again... This time reboot isn't solving anything. When I put it on static IP it connects to the network and disconnects over and over again. This s*** is driving me crazy...
are you running a custom kernel?
No. It's stock. Recovery is CWM, phone is rooted via this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1577831
it could be the boot.img causing your issue. i rooted via this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583427 and have never had a problem with wifi unless i had flashed a custom kernel
Well.. I don't know, because I haven't flashed a custom ROM.. Just rooted the stock one... Btw it started working again after like 10 reboots with no fastboot on, but experience tells me that it'll go crazy again...
you could also try flashing a custom rom, it might fix the issue

Internet is very slower, pls help

Hi guys, i have really annoying internet problems. For some reason a week ago my wi fi connection got very bad, and its just on my phone. On other devices in house wifi is fine, but in my case there`s a problem. Maybe problem is new update for nougat, i dont know, maybe something else. At first i tried with deleting cache memory and deleting some apps, but that didnt work. Then i checked other devices in my house and they arent lagging.
I hope u will help me, because i bought this phone a month ago and im losing my faith in him.
Problably a simple software issue, like a wrong dns, delete(forget) the wifi from your phone and reconect to it without any manual settings.

I had slow WiFi too, in my case somehow it's caused by the Bluetooth. Whenever it's on, my WiFi slows down from 30 mbps to 1
Have encountered the same problem and only thing I tested, is disabling the Bluetooth or going to Direct Wifi changing the Name and trying a Speedtest then .. All is OK But if you enable/disable Bluetooth again it stops working correctly.
It doesn't work anymore since B402.. And no solving solution found in this last update from Huawei.
Same problem here! since B402 update my wifi gets stuck at 0.5 Mbps if i have bluetooth turned ON. As soon as i turn bluetooth OFF my wifi works great!
Just updated manually with formware finder to version C432B404 and problem fixed!! Attention, it will update 2 version of the firmware: first a B404 normal, and then i get a new B404 (programmer) . Just updated both ad now everything works fine regarding internet speed with bluetooth on.
Had the same problem and it was the google home app for me. Uninstalled it and problem went away. Hope this helps for someone.
