tried downloading the CM9 and i didnt have the right bootloaders so now to fix it i have to get into download mode to flash uck12 bootloader but now the phone doesnt go into bootloader so what can i do to get into download mode?
Battery out.
Plug in USB to phone and computer.
Hold volume up and volume down...NO POWER BUTTON.
Put battery back in.
Should get you to download mode. Flash bootloaders.

I have a Samsung Fascinate that will not boot, i get a black screen with a cellphone a ! in a yellow triangle and a computers. The 3 button method will not get me into download or recovery! takeing out the battery and plugging into usb with the volume up button down doesnt work either. I tried plugging it into the computer but adb nor odin would detect it(yes i have the right drivers) please help ive hit a wall
Try plugging in with the battery out and the volume down button pressed until the download mode shows up. Btw may I ask how you got yourself into this mess?

as stated in the first post i have tried that method to get into download mode. and i got into this mess trying to get clockwork on the phone (did not install properly) and trying to put samsung fasinate (verison) rom on it... oops lol?
Actually in OP it says you pressed the volume up button. Volume down is what gets you into download mode.

BTW i got stuck with one of the awsome fascinates that will not 3 button recovery/download
Found the solution that worked for me. I had to plug in the usb hold volume down then pop in the battery to get it to go into download mode.
Ohh usually it goes with the battery popped out.

That is how you get into download mode on the Verizon Fascinate. Why are there all these guesses all over the internet? That is how you do it.

Was trying to reimage this phone using Odin v1.3 a usb malfunction error message came up Ive been trying to use it to several computers since then, but the same message kept coming up and of course the odin could recognise the devise and i went up turn the phone on normally all i have is a black screen with a phone and yellow explanation and computer logos on the screen the explanation sign is in between the phone and computer logos and now I can not do anything with this phone...I think my only option is for somebody to help me to find some image that will run on the SD card instead of the USB port.

Please help. I was using odin3 v1.85 and trying to flash the stock EP4 from the imnuts page. during the flash odin said it failed. My phone now fails to be recognized by my PC. I am not able to boot into CWM nor am I able to boot in to download mode. Any which way I try to get the phone booted up I get the screen that looks like:
cellphone...exclamation point in a triangle... computer
With the battery out of the cell, if I plug the phone into my computer, it is not recognized by the computer and no power flows to the phone
When I put the battery back in and either try to boot to CWM or download mode, I get the:
cell... exclamation point in triangle...computer.
Am I now bricked for good? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Are you holding the volume down button when plugging it in? Battery out, hold volume down, plug in phone... If still not recognized, try downloading an older version of odin... Then repeat... Ive had my phone at that same screen and came out ok so dont freak... Lol.

Once I conntect to the PC, the phone screen goes to a picture of a battery charging and won't recognixe my keys for entering download mode

Good thought. I booted up Odin3 version 1.3 and no luck. The phone will not go in to download mode but Odin1.3 will recognize the phone as plugged in, which is a step in the right direction compared to Odin3 1.85 which would not. Oh, I am beginning to "freak out" from this stress!!
Any recommendations or suggestions? Thanks ahead of time.

I use odin v1.82... Try that. If I rememebr right it took me several tries before I got odin to recognize my phone. So your starting with the phone off and battery out... Your holding down volume down key as you plug the phone in? and when you do that it odin recognizes your device but your device just shows that its charging? Try flashing it anyways with the .pit file and stock ep4d... If that doesnt work try flashing CWM first.. Then flash the restore package.. Sounds to me like your phone has been absolutely wiped so you have no recovery image. I think thats finally what got me up and running again.. This is a fixable situation, dont give your hopes up!!!!

Take out the battery and it shouldn't do that.

i was in odin mode updating the firmware but give and error soo i decide to reboot te phone and now i see this image and dont boot a cant get the phone in odin mode help me please how can i fix this problem.
That's another download mode if Odin doesn't read it then pull battery put it back in hold volume buttons and connect to PC and ull see it turn on to that screen again and Odin recognize it

Like what the title says, I was in the midst of flashing my phone via Heimdall but one of the updates read "fail" and the program was frozen. Stupidly, I unplugged my phone from the usb cable and turned off the phone. I tried to reboot it again but it isn't turning on. Did I f*ck up my phone for good or is there ANY way I can save it? I really would appreciate any help.
I doubt your phone is bricked...try putting it back in download mode and run heimdall again
Download mode:
Pull battery
Put battery back in
Hold both volume buttons
Connect USB storage while holding volumes
If anything pops up your in download mode...unless its a Samsung logo...if you see that you didn't do it right...

As MG said i aslo doubt that ur phone is hard bricked if it was not stuck at the BL flash. Keep tryin to put ur phone in DL mode.
in some rare cases the actual jpg file for download mode gets corrupt but the bootloader is still capable of entering download mode. have heimdall open with the stock rom setup to flash and see if it recognizes a connection, if it does then just flash
My phone is stuck in Odin Mode and it gives a message that says that firmware upgrade encountered a problem and to connect it to Kies, I have tried holding the volume buttons at the same time as the power button to go into recovery mode but it doesn't work, it shows the samsung logo for less than a second and goes back to Odin Mode. I have also tried connecting it to Kies but it never finished connecting to Kies. any idea on how to get to recovery mode or get passed that screen?? or do anything with my phone.... lol
my best suggestion would be to start by using to flash back to gb instead up lets take a small step down and start fresh inside the development forum im quite positive you can the ucle2 ics odin flash yes i said ucle2 leak the reason why would be to get back to at minimal any stock version and ucle2 is my goto stock... if now you can find in vincoms stickie the gb rom use odin mode like you slave and get this back to stock

start with vincoms stickies but i can tell you right now whatever was done a full flash to stock is only gonna fix unless you pull a rabit out of your phone's jack

you can try the method in post b4 this one or flash cwm tar through odin, howto is in my sig
Also...
If you have a USB plugged in when you try recovery mode, it will go into download mode.
Make sure you unplug your phone from your computer when you hold the volume rockers and power button...
