Help please with product code - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello to all.
I bought Galaxy Note 10.1 from Dubai by somebody, when he gave it to me, I found that it's not the UAE version, It's Iranian.
I checked the product code, it was written (THR), I asked Samsung Support, they told that (THR) means Tehran.
I want to change it to UAE version... how can I do it, please ?

As long as it's N8000 (3g) model, these firmware downloads should work.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836954
Not sure if it's safe to flash them over the wifi model. Check your model before doing anything else.
You also need to download ODIN.
http://stockroms.net/file/Tools/ODIN/Odin3v185.zip
Open ODIN and place the firmware you downloaded in the PDA section.
On the tablet press VOLUME DOWN and POWER and hold it till it enters download mode, then press VOLUME UP to continue.
Connect the tablet to the computer via the USB charge cable. You should now see something in the ID:COM section of ODIN.
Press START and wait until it's done.
If I missed something, somebody step in

Thank you for reply
I'm gonna try it
Thanks again.

Dead Samsung note 10.1 2012 GT-N8000

Gentlemen,
Please I updated my note 10.1 2012 GT-N8000 to kitkat 4.4.2 without rooting or usb debugging enable, then during charging it, i forget it around four hours it restarted, and all the time in download mode, i used odin, failed to open Com port, i tried to enter to recovery, failed. i tried to enter to bootloader, i thing it is locked, also when i tried to use odin, it tells that no PIT is found, any suggestion? (changed usb cable, uninstall kies and install usb samsung drivers, used different versions of odin with CSC,Bootloader, PIT ,PDA,modem, files etc... ) all are failing, seems that it is just locking itself... the only place i can enter, is when i enter press power button, and - volume (Volume downn), it would take me to ODIN MODE , Product name: GT-N8000, Currnet Binary: Custom, System Status: Official, RP SWREV: A2 and it is all the time Downloading Do not turn off target, even i tried to uninstall the battery for sometime, and i put it again... and if just insert it to the usb it would start directly to Firmware upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode (which i can't enter to it, failed to enter by power + volume up) in kies & try again, also the initialization of kies is not supported, if used...
What are you trying to flash with Odin? Try official
And if the device actually pops up in Odin and the COM port is through then the cable and the hardware is all fine.

Download a N8000 firmware which comes packed in zip
extract it and then select it with AP in odin,
flash and wait until you're done
and if it is struggling with the port try another one
Download the official firmware for your model number regardless of the region (that is if you're ok with it otherwise use your own region's)
Then use the appropriate Odin version to flash the firmware to your device while in download mode. Put the Firmware file into PDA/AP.
Make sure Reartition is not ticked otherwise your device will be bricked. (Lol it rhymes)
Make sure the cable connection is stable and don't disconnect the connection until the process of flashing is done.
Not advertising but you can find your firmware at Sammobile. It tells you which Odin version to use too. I'm not sure if Odin version matters but let's play safe.
Hope this helps.

G930T stuck in recovery after reboot

I rooted my my few weeks ago with snapdragon root, and yesterday I realized that some apps kept crashing, so I rebooted my phone, but it stucks at Tmobile logo. So I opened up smart switch on my pc, tries to restore my phone, but it said that : SM-G930T does not support initializing. It's confusing since I restore using smart switch before, but I downloaded stock firmware from xda forum, and flashed with odin. And it shows sw rev check fail device 4, binary 3. And it boots in to recovery mode everytime I forced to restart. btw, it says dm-verity verification failed. What can I do to fix this? Thanks for any suggesions.
i had the same problem with my s7 SM-G930T

I had the exact same problem with my phone which is the same model as yours, and after almost 2 days of surfing in the internet like crazy and trying all the diferent programs I found the solution.
1. first go to this video youtube,com/watch?v=RSZiVxJyFb4 (I cant post links so I will substitute the dot in "DOT COM" by a comma)
2.Download the firmware and Samsung drivers in the link in the video which is pangu.in/samsung_firmware.html skip thru the pages until you find your model(this link will download the drivers and a notepad with the link to the actual firmware download page which is sammobile,com/firmwares/
3. type the model number in the search bar (SM-G930T) and select the first one in the list and download it(note: you will need to create an account in this page in order to download the firmware but its only put your email and choose a password so it shouldn't be a problem. extract the firmware after downloaded.
4.Download the version of odin that is linked in the video link: pangu.in/odin_tool.html . Scroll down a lil bit and download the one that says "ODIN 3.11 (GALAXY S7)"HAS TO BE THIS ONE other versions wont work. extract it.
5.After you have downloaded everything(make sure you installed the drivers if you haven't done before) proceed to run ODIN with your phone unplugged from your pc and turned off
6.Load the AP file from the extracted firmware file into the AP tab you will see in ODIN(do all this with your phone UNPLUGED from the PC.
7.Now put your phone(which should be off and disconnected from the PC) into download mode[hold vol down+home+pwr button
then you will be aske to press button up to continue, do so(you probably know how to do this but I said in case other people don't)
8.connect your phone onto your pc and you should see your device show up in odin, now click start and you should be good to go
I hope it works for you since I know how frustrating it is to have such and expensive phone bricked.

930f

Hi guys I just got a s7 gsm 930f. And I wanting to customize it but I cannot get in developer mode it's from rent a center so I'm sure that's why it has there bogus firmware so how can I get rid of it an put on a real Samsung firmware it's used in USA and I can't figure out which one to get an how to put it on if I can't get to USB debugging mode any help would be appreciated I want to have root access an nougat 7.0 at least thanks
Turn it off, then press and hold vol down + home + power which will you put you into download mode.
From there you can find the appropriate firmware from http://updato.com - it also has a guide on how to flash it using Odin with download links
Make sure you find firmware for the model listed in download mode, it's the true model information. Info in the 'software info' part of the phone can be faked.

Right stock firmware, Please Help

Hi, maybe you can help me. I bought on AliExpress a new s10e sm-g970u. It's still on pie (June 2019). When i search for an ota update It doesn't find anything. What i've to do? I've to update It manually? And if yes, which Is the right update unlocked to choose in order to make It works in Italy without problems? And the right update procedure? Thank you for your help
download latest Odin on pc, go to sammobile online put in your model number and find the firmware version you need, download it on pc extract it, you should have four files, ap cp bl csc open odin on pc enter the files you have extracted on pc, plug in phone to pc enter download mode with button combination , power volume up and bixby at the same time or bixby and volume down it might take a few attempts then press start in odin and it will flash your new firmware - make sure you have all the Samsung drivers installed on pc and phone is recognised by pc if all is good there should be a blue box highlighted and in the text box it will say added! or removed if you unplug phone from pc good luck im gathering your not rooted.

First of all thank you very much.
I Hope to choose the right firmware for my phone i don't know which i should choose
if you type in your model number in sammobile page online ie sm- g970f it will bring up a list of all the firmwares for that model ie yours is sm- g960u so type that in i think you can flash any but one specific to your region is obviously best in your phone settings look up model no and software installed and you should be able to tell exactly what file you need
G970U and G970U1 Firmware Links - type in s10e on xda forum scroll down to SAMSUNG GALAXY S10E ROMS, KERNELS, RECOVERIES, & OTHER DEVELOPMENT first post!

Problem with an old Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0

Hi,
I am on Linux. I have no access to a windows PC.
I never owned this kind of device. I only have one ASUS tablet, which I could root years before with the valuable help of this forum.
This Samsung Phablet (or tabone or whatever) in question was given to me for free because it can't longer be booted by the owner.
Symptoms:
Bootloop: It starts displaying "Galaxy Samsung..." but nothing more (no blue "whirl" as shown in some YouTube videos).
It stays there for ever and it can only be switched when it starts charging and while charging the USB plug is pulled.
By pressing the on/of switch and volume up the android robot is displayed with opened front and the rotating "nuclear something".
A progress bar steps up to to 25% then the robot is shown briefly on its back with a triangular red warning sign and a black exclamation mark on it.
By pressing the on/of switch and volume down I can enter ODIN mode and from there I can enter download mode.
Being the Tablet in Download mode I can "talk" to the phone with "Heimdall" which is the ODIN-Tool replacement for Linux.
I successfully downloaded t a "pit file" ... but I have no clue whether this is a success or for what this is good for...
As I try to repair/save things from being thrown into the dumpster I want to ask, what I can try to save this tablet. There are no
data on the tablet, which need to be saved.
What should I try next?
PS: The battery seems to ok as far as I can see...
Cheers!

What is the model name on the back of the case?
The writing on the back says:
Model GT-P3100 FCC ID:A3LGTP3100
IMEI:<numbers> S/N RF1C64KAT5D

Download the firmware for your country (I assume the tablet was not associated with a mobile operator) from the >site<
and flash through Odin. A short instruction is on the firmware page.
From where I can download the appropriate firmware - the tablet is about 9 years old... ?
PS: Sorry...I overlooked the link in your post - thanks a lot for your help.
Cheers!

...this hasn't worked for me:
I can "detect" the device with heimdall and I can download the pit-file.
But as soon I try to flash something, there is a "protol failure" and heimdall
stops working.
Any idea else?
Cheers!

Are you using a compatible version of zadig with heimdall?
I use the >heimdall package< made by The Muppets< for many devices and have not had any problems with this version.
If heimdall shows messages, quote them here in full.
