Hello,
I've got a Samsung Galaxy Ace bought from Phones 4 u about a year ago. It came with Android 2.3.3 out of the box and has been fine. I'm using an O2 Sim Card (phone was bought on O2 PAYG) but appears to be a generic unlocked phone (XEU). Details are:
PDA: S5830XWKPY
PHONE: S5830XWKPA
CSC: S5830XEUKP1
I'd been interested lately that a lot of my friends have got the 2.3.6 upgrade through Kies, but mine is still waiting - KIES reports 2.3.3 is the latest for my phone and an OTA check on the phone itself says there is no update available. I investigated further and have found the following error message displayed on the Android Recovery screen <3e> (note this phone has NEVER been flashed or rooted)
-- Appling Multi-CSC --
Can't access to '/system/csc/XEU/system'.
I'm pretty IT literate and phone savvy but have no idea what this message means and wondered if it could be the cause of me not getting updates. I checked my wife's Galaxy Y and she does not have this error message.
Should a phone bought from a store be showing this message (phone was brand new and had all the original cellophane and screen covers intact) Should I take it back to the store, or try a factory/reset wipe, or try flashing via ODIN?
Any advice appreciated

hello,
i am new in this forum and i am two day´s samsung s galaxy user. After i have boght the phone i realised that the shop was selling branded phone which not even branded in my country. I already updated my phone to Froyo by using Kies 2.0 but i did not realised that the installed software and stupid start up screen wont go away. I even deleted it before with root rights but after firmware upgrade all is back.
Now i have searched the web how to do it with Odin i have found very helpful friend who will help me do it but the quesiton is that not sure which files to use or can i do it or not.
here is my phone info:
PDA: I9000XWJPH
Phone: I9000xxjpp
CSC: i9000PLSJP3
Which is the new files i should use when i want to get rid of the branded phone and start using it normally and after factory reset i dont have some polish language on the phone again.
I hope some one can help me out with it i know there is lots of post in this forum about how to flash
i hope some one can help.
Hi,
I currently own a Samsung Galaxy S2 which I bought in NewZealand parallel imported (not vodafone nz store)
Few months ago, I rooted this phone and installed v 9.7 ICS Remix rom
But it felt weird so i decided to unroot my phone
I have, or may have not unrooted my phone but here are the details:
MODEL GTI9100
ANDROID VERSION 4.0.3
I9100XXLPQ
kernel version
3.0.14-I9100XXLPQ-CL223505 [email protected] #3
build number

The other day I tried to update via samsung Kies and it says:
Your device does not support updating via kies.
I tried reinstalling my CSC to XEU and KOR and still does the same thing.
I tried to reinstall CSC to VNZ (vdoafone nz) but it is not on the list.
How can I reinstall everything on this phone to make it factory ? Like everything is like how it was when i purchased it.
check the i9100 dev section. U will have to use odin to completely restore a stock tar, and then kies will update
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5300 and i need to be able to debrand name(Mobistar) from my samsung galaxy S5300.
I have installed already firmware with Odin and everything worked perfectly but i get always to read in KIES at firmware: S5300XXLF5/S5300OXXLF5/S5300XXLF5/S5300XXLF5 (MST) and MST stand for brand name of the provider and i can't get rid of it with installation of new firmware.
So i really need help to tell me HOW I CAN DEBRAND NAME FROM MY SAMSUNG GALAXY S5300(POCKET)?
Please can anyobody help me with this problem? And simply installing new firmware doesn't help!!! Already tried it MANY times.
So it is branded somewhere in the phone with name of the provider and i want to get rid of it.
So now it doesn't work with the way i already did MANY times.
So it is branded somewhere where i can't remove it now with installing new firmware(NON BRANDED ALWAYS) only.
I guess it is branded in the phone memory. Because i can't erase(format) system storage. Even after a hard reset there is still kept 0.89GB system storage. So what i got to do to format or erase that systemstorage?

Just installing non brand firmware doesn't help at all.
I keep reading after my firmware (MST) which stands for Mobistar. So it is branded somewhere in the phone with name of the provider and i want to get rid of it.

i had Mobistar widgets till i reïnstalled new firmware S5300XXLF5 2.3.6 June 2012. NOw all Mobistar widgets are gone but in the firmware i keep reading S5300XXLF5/S5300OXXLF5/S5300XXLF5/S5300XXLF5 (MST) and (MST) stands for Mobistar. So i need to get rid of that to get back warranty because now i don't get support from KIES anymore.
I dont have a Mobistar sim but i kept getting notificaiton of Mobistar Tv etc.... .
I got tired of that and i couldn't remove those programs from the firmware cause they are branded in the firmware so i reïnstalled new firmware.
The problem is the phone is branded with the name of the provider Mobistar somewhere which i can't delete now. What important is what KIES say is the firmware name which is already installed as new, non branded firmware which i have download from sammobile.com and KIES says S5300XXLF5/S5300OXXLF5/S5300XXLF5/S5300XXLF5 (MST) and MST stand for brand name of the provider and i can't get rid of it with installation of new firmware.
So now i don't know how to get rid of the branded mark in the phone. I also had in the firmware which i couldn't uninstall widgets from Mobistar for Mobistar tv, etc. Even when i don't have a Mobistar sim i received notifications of upgrade of those Mobistar programs and i don't use those programs.
So i installed non branded firmware and even then i don't get rid of the (MST) notification!! That is the big problem.
When i don't get the possibility to get support for software upgrade through KIES then i have no warranty anymore for my brand new smartphone!
So everything is alright for my software only it is no Mobistar firmware which it should be now because the phone is still branded as Mobistar phone and i have no LOCKS for SIM, I CAN USE ANY SIM.
Can't i reïnstall new system storage without the brand of Mobistar?
Please can anybody help me soon so i have my warranty back?
Hello, I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 which have model number in the software where it says SM-G920V. In the same phone at the back it is written as SM-G920F. It is registered as a Verizon phone software with their network. Now at this current situation i can't use it as a normal phone due to network issues. My dad bought it from UAE Souq and it had the same problem since it was bought before 3 yrs.
I even tried to flash a Samsung stock firmware where it failed and at the end i also tried to root the phone and it failed too. So I used a root checker to find whether it was rooted before where it showed that root access is not properly installed on this device.
Usually for a Verizon operated phone have their logo at the back but it is missing on my phone.
so can anyone explain this why is this like this with the different model and software which can't be changed to a normal usable Samsung firmware experience on my phone.
