[Q] Possibly bricked Omnia 7 - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I re-flashed my Omnia 7 last night (to the 7.8 ROM) and all was well. Almost.
What was strange was that if the USB was connected and weren't in an app, it would reboot, saying "goodbye". This was the same for charging.
After a dozen attempts, the phone settled on the charging screen for 20 minutes so I went to bed. Today it won't turn on.
That's about all I've got. Can anyone help me?
Thanks

Whoo, it's now stuck on the charging screen again having left it connected to the computer's USB. Seems stuck on it though. Previously this screen would be gone in 10 mins.

[Q] One day it works, the next it doesnt. ideas?

Hi all,
Got a Touch Pro, that is not happy today. plugged it in to charge it overnight, and thought no more of it.
Woke up this morning and overslept, its alarm didnt go off. not good.
Alarmingly it wont turn on unplugged from mains, and plugged in again... the touch pad does its white glowy cycle thing it does to indicate a charge, it loops that 3 times and then stops.
When i power it on it says warning! battery level too low! and then switches off again.
I left it on charge for 30 minutes, and tried again. the same thing happend.
Any idea whats happend? never had any issues before, is it a duff battery? or am i being too impatient in regards to its charging?
Im at work now, and have no mains charger. will it charge via USB ok ?
stumped, been on charge via usb all day, still no life.
If i plug in the cable, sometimes the camera flash blinks for a second, and then tried to post, (and then shows the battery error and shuts down)
it will show the charging animation (on the centre button) 3 times, and then stops.
If i try and post the phone without a battery, it shows the post screen, and then keeps resetting / recycling itself, with no error messages.
I have exactly the same problem!
Please HELP!!!
I think i found the Problem!
The little Backup Battery for Date/Time etc. is low!

Same problem left for over a week now won't turn on or charge. Grey battery icon appears for a second with the circle icon and disappears. It does not charge and cannot do the volume and power recovery.
I've opened it up and disconnected the battery and checked the voltage and it is just over 4V, so the battery is ok. ANd as previous post says when plugged into pc it just repeatedly tries to connect. Iv'e installed Kies so the drivers are ok.
Anybody any ideas.
Come on guys, someone must have an answer, even if it's " It's a brick".
same problem..
I was using tablet, I came home, put tablet on the desk, and when I look at it after a while, blank screen, and when I try to start, same problem.

Nexus 5 suddenly shut down, won't boot anymore.

Hello,
A couple of weeks ago I noticed, that the battery life on my Nexus 5 was significantly worse. I used to get about 3-4 Hours onscreen time. Now I would only get 1-2.
Sometimes when it reached 0% it did not only shut down, but it also updated all Apps on startup.
Yesterday I walked home at about 11pm and wanted to check some emails, when it suddenly went black with about 80-90% left. After arriving at home I plugged it in with my charger and it booted up again, but only to the point where you see the google colors swirl around (after the google logo). I left it plugged in the whole night.
Today I checked again, it starts to boot but after 2-3 seconds it goes black and starts again at the google logo when plugged in. When not plugged in it sometimes reaches the "Updating Apps" (or updating android something similar) but also after about 10-20 seconds it again starts at the google logo. Also trying to get into recovery mode also causes it to "reboot" to the google logo after a couple of seconds..
Has anyone experienced this before? Google search only led to a broken power button, which I don't think because I Never had problemes with the on/off switch before.
I bought the phone about 1 year ago (+2 - 3 months) from the google store, do I still have warranty? (I'm from germany and the phone is rooted and the bootloader is unlocked)
Thank you in advance and have a nice week
Did you try to enter the recovery while plugged in to a charger ? If it´s still not possible, the device might be fried.
If you´re from Germany and the device is older than 1 year, you´re out of luck. Google up what "Gewährleistung" really means and you will see that chances of obtaining a free repair are very bad
All you could do now is to try to check the phone with a charger attached to it, flash a Factory Image. Replacing the battery is not as complicated if this one is faulty.
Btw, a stuck power button can also cause a device to restart itself.

That happened to me with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. My problem was a haywire USB cable. And another time the charger was not of enough power (I was using my phone's charger on my tab). It used to boot up for a second or two and then switch off. Get your USB cable and charger checked.
Sent from my A116 using XDA Forums PRO
Will do. Thanks for the help
If anyone else has other ideas I'd be glad to her them
If you can use another phone I'd recommend "ampere" tho check your charger and cable.

I thInk i bricked my Nexus 5

I was trying to put it to bootloader but it can't go there after some tries so I kept pressing the volume rockers and power button but suddenly , the screen just went all black and now i cant do anything to turn it on and it doesnt even say its charging if i plug it in . Anyways , what can i do ?
I seem to be having the same issue as well. If anyone is able to provide any assistance at all, I would greatly appreciate it.
Leave the phone unplugged for about 10 minutes, then try again.
I find that powering off my phone in the middle of an operation will brick the phone for a few minutes.
The phone has been in this state for the past 4 months or so. I left it unplugged for as long as 2 months after the problem occurred and failing at troubleshooting the issue, and it still wouldn't power on, even when left charging for days.
Another thing to note is that if I plug it in to my computer, there is no indication of it being connected in the Device Manager (on Windows 10).

Help! My phone suddenly shutdown and doesn't charge any more. Bootloop

Hi folks,
Last night I have found my Mate 9 closed. There was no reason for that actually. I assume that there is at least %20 of pattery. There was no response for the power button.
I tried to charge it with original charger and cable. . This is what happening
1-Screen opens, 2-red colored battery charging screen appears for few seconds and then 3- Huawei logo appears 4-Phone shut down
This is happening recurrently
I tried another charger, iPhone one and that time phone goes to the eRecovery menu, which I haven't seen before.
I am quite confused, have some information on phone. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Leave it on charger for a long time, even in eRecovery, to see would it charge.
Check if you charge from PC, does PC recognize that device is connected
