bricked Nexus S, Ubuntu tool doesn't work but home and search key are lit up

really wired.
i have tried that Linux tool under ubuntu , but couldn't find device in both Nexus S option and Galaxy S option because i saw someone who worked in Galaxy S mode with Nexus S phone.
somehow , i don't know why , i have search key and home key lit up, but when i try flash bootloader via fastboot , it keep saying "waiting for device" in both windows and ubuntu. i couldn't get into download mode becuase i try Odin , still non-responsive as screen is dark i have no idea where am i...
i have no idea what to do next. only thing i haven't tried yet is that hardware modification , but i don't have soldering tools around.
i am not fully comprehended how to modify it ...
is just connect the first and last one , and then remove the middle one that connects thoes 2 points ?

well ... sorry , i thought i have made myself clear , but obviously not ...
i have a 9023 , it works fine for long time about year, recently i updated bootloader and to 4.1 JB version , but after a little running of JB , i decided downgraded to 4.04 as i would be waiting for AOKP JB come out.
then one day , i killed my first battery and i replaced it with my second battery , suddenly it just doesn't boot up anymore , nothing at all , not even google sign , unable to download mode, recovery mode , nothing happens but phone will heat up without running.
then i went here and some other forum that lots lots users say that have same problem and some of them gave a solution is that use that unbrickable tools which runs under Ubuntu.
after hours of downloading , installing and configuring java, i finally managed to get it work, but unfortunately it doesn't work out as instructions indicates , UnBrickableResurrectorR40 keep report device not found.
ok , i don't know what to do , i send it to a mobile shop which repairs mobile , days later i took back my phone and they say they couldn't bring it back to live...
so i decided to do that hardware modification to see if it works or not , because things couldn't get any worse or better by replacing motherboard ...
but somehow , i found it that search key and home key would light up and i took it back , they don't do so before i send it in ... so i thought they may do something to my phone , i went to Ubuntu again , still no detected. and both fastboot and Odin didn't work ...

could you tell me how to modify hardware ?
just like i said, connect those 2 point of first one and last one in attached picture and remove the middle one's connector?

yes remove the resistor circled and connect the 2 points you circled

Yes removing the resistor xOM5 will disconnect the two points. use a small wire to connect the other two points.

still no good... may be he did wrong thing ...but who knows ... it's really really too small inside there ... this isn't a job for humans ...it is for machines ...
i guess know only way to bring it back to live is replace motherboard ...

device is not detected by unbrickable?
I have been debating if the reason i cannot get into fastboot nor download with nexus S sbl is because the power button has also failed.

[Q] Goclever R75 (7500) - boot freeze (bootloop ? )

Hello. After factory reset my goclever does not stand up. It freezes at android logo and nothing happens later (no reset, just android logo). I think it might be because after installing apex pro i deleted stock launcher. Device manager sees it as ' Full AOSP on Rk29sdk ' (but cannot copy anything to device) and ADB sees no device.
Is there any way to do something ? Christmas are soon, so i will not send it to service cenrte.

Goclever hasn't published any R75 firmware yet. Also this tablet doesn't have any physical buttons except power switch. On my native language forum was sometime ago rumor that on downside motherboard is switch which combination with power button gives recovery menu. Personally i tried various combinations but didn't worked for me.

Any ideas ?

Hello.
Which version of the device do you have?
7500
or R75
Those seems to be the same but are different.
I have stock android version for both
for 7500 - original, unrooted ( from a Russian site - don't remember)
for R75 - original, rooted ( a dump created by me from my device when I have received it)
Both works, were tested by me on my R75.
The firmware of 7500 flashed on R75 works, but you won't be able to use the capacitive buttons (as I told you are different).
The flash option is very simple:
1. Copy two files on the root of the sd card
2. Insert the card in the card slot of the device.
3. The flashing process will continue automatically.
Just tell me which one you need and a place where to upload the needed firmware. I can do the upload this weekend.
Regarding ADB, hmm... this is strange. I have done the same thing as you (deleted the launcher and restore to default) but adb was working with device in the android logo state.
I'm using Windows 8 and I have installed the device as test ADB device (from windows drivers).

its not working with me. i have kingston microsd card 8gb and i put 7500 image on root of the card.then, i started the tablet but nothing happens. it still show ANDROID logo and wont flash,please help!!!

this may help some one later
to get into recovery if your R75 table wont boot you have to take it apart the button is on the underside of the board behind the screen (silly place to put it) i have being talking to goclever support and more firmwares are going to be added to the site. if you want yours adding send them an email requesting it (one may not be enough ) i have just had this problem and after a month they agreed to take it back and have reflashed it for me

Just received it today, so first impressions only
Looks VERY nice, and strong
smooth as hell and very nice screen
Connects fast to wifi, 4g, and my BT devices are ok (BT2.1 & BT4.0)
So right now... Cool for the price
Device looks to be rootable with kingroot...
Any1 knows how to go to recovery ?

The seller sent me a new ROM (2016-01-07) but I can't flash it...
Then send me a new phone...

hi all! i have this phone since Feb 4th, 2016... read this forum before buy and use this phone, i didnt update the system on it. after this fatal update, the phone doesnt turn on at all? made a brick?

Now I flashed the phone and it's working again on 2016-01-20 update.
It's a GOOD phone.

My IMEI has disappeared too, i loaded all tools from LEAGOO website,
but when using the flash tool for replacing the ROM, theres no way to access the phone
Support from Leagoo is a mess, but the phone is quite good !
So, in what state should the phone be, to be recognized ?
I used "normal" mode of booting, just into the operating system, having USB for data transfer on, usb debugging on - phone isnt recognized by flashtool.
Sholud it be in recovery mode or fastboot mode, when yes, how to access it ?

The way to flash is "quite" simple:
You have to
-switch off the phone
-plug the usb cable
-press vol- and power at the same time
- The phone will turn on BUT the update software will recognize it
-release both buttons as soon as the soft sees the phone or it will turn off again
- And be patient: flash took 12 minutes for me but you'll see the progress
Had to find this by myself because the support people are VERY kind, but I'm not sure they want to tell this

What version of ROM do you have? I have MY_LEAGOO_Alfa_5_OS1.1_20160120 from Leagoo.com.my but is so lite ...it has no ringtones no sounds no themes .Do you have any rom with the previous goodies?

Sorry, same version... But there are ringtones and sounds... I don't know about themes, as I don't use them

Hi Guys, although (ring)tones seem not to be the most important for using this lovely phone, i would suggest to use one of the uncountable apps who provides ringtones and others.
Go to GooglePlay and search for "ZEDGE". There is advertising included, but for testing ist more than enough.

Hi There, another note to flashing ( also had to find it myself, didnt have a look here to note this fine advertisement
My way to flash:
- Switch off the phone
- Hold Volume - button
- Plug in the usb cable
- The phone will turn on AND the update software will recognize it
By the way, does anyone know a custom recovery for the Alfa 5 ?

note: updating via wireless updating menu from leagoo os1.1 lite 2015.12.xx (i dont remeber of the day) to leagoo os1.1 lite 2016.03.22 is SAFE! i just now did it and everything is fine.

Hello everyone , a lot of users end up sometimes with this error while flashing a custom rom or wiping partitions on recovery. Almost all of us use TWRP , you will get this error while trying to reboot :

So what to do ? Is my phone dead ? No there is always a solution. First , if you have a backup of your rom you have no problem , don't continue reading this guide , i will just waste your time . Second, if you already have a custom rom on your external sd card then you can flash it and your issue is gone. But what about Nexus users ? Galaxy S6 ? And all phones with no sd card slot , in this case adb is the solution.
Warning , before you follow those steps remember you should have TWRP OR CWM already installed. :
1. Download adb drivers ( you should download the last version of adb , previous versions won't work ).
2. Download fastboot
http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/tools/fastboot.zip
3. Extract it , you should get a fastboot folder with all files needed.
4. Now , download a custom rom , for exemple last CM13 nightly and put it in fastboot folder , you can add gapps too.
5. Plug your phone into your computer , your drivers should be installed. You will get your device recognized like that : ( look down in attached files )
6. Now go to fastboot folder and open command. ( Shift + right )
7. Type this : cd Downloads
cd fastboot
adb devices
8. You should get some numbers followed by recovery like that : ( look down again )
9. Now you are almost there
10. Type this :
adb push filename /sdcard/.
Replace the filename by the name of your rom zip !!!
11. Wait for it , it's copying files to your internal storage.
12. Done ! Now all you have to do is unplug your phone and flash your rom via recovery.
I hope this tutorial was helpful and saved you !

Lol but you know if you ever face this issue here is the fix

I know this is old, but what rom should I get for the huawei p9 lite. cm is dead, and the new one doesn't support the p9 lite.
I bought my phone online, and it wouldn't access the google play store. So I'm doing this to try to fix that, though I'm not tech savy, and I accidentally wiped system(oops).

I'm so glad I found the issue I was facing, I have a S6 G920F and I accidentally deleted the OS and now its giving that error in TWRP. Ok, I'm a total noob, I know so I need further hep with a couple of things.
1) What are adb drivers? Like what do they do? and could you send a link for the latest version ?
2) Which custom ROM should I download for this model? (This is what I desperately need, I have no idea where to get the right custom ROM). Please send a link for it too......
I know I'm super annoying but I'll be eternally grateful if you help me fix my phone, life sucks without it xD

Download the last firmware for your device and flash it via odin, and if you already have a custom ROM in your sdcard just reboot in recovery and flash it :good:

Soufiansky help me please I didn't use my s6 edge for more 1 month when I swiped on "are you sure you wish to reboot" and after that the phone show me the starting page Samsung galaxy s6 edge powered by Android " just the screen stayed like that till the battery ends 0 percent and after a month and few days I put my s6 in the charge and there is this screen now I put him around 1.5 hour in charge and there's always that screen please help me I'm in a big problem and I will be so happy with any answer and thank you very much please don't let me face this problem in my own and in the s6 the is no sd card port

Soufiansky help me please I didn't use my s6 edge for more 1 month when I swiped on "are you sure you wish to reboot" and after that the phone show me the starting page Samsung galaxy s6 edge powered by Android " just the screen stayed like that till the battery ends 0 percent and after a month and few days I put my s6 in the charge and there is this screen now I put him around 1.5 hour in charge and there's always that screen please help me I'm in a big problem and I will be so happy with any answer and thank you very much please don't let me face this problem in my own and in the s6 the is no sd card port

Sure sure i will help you.
-First download Odin on your PC , its a program to flash firmwares
-Second, search on google for "Samsung Drivers" and install them
-Third, Now go to sammobile website, write your phone model ( i suppose its G920F ) , go to region and choose whatever you like, i suggest you XEF ( France ) or DBT ( Germany ), download the file and unzip it, you will get a .tar file
-Fourth, charge the phone to 100%
-Fifth, now open odin, boot your S6 after being charged to download mode ( Hold Power button + Home + volume down ), you will get a black screen with info click on volume up, you will get a green screen with "Downloading" written in the middle
-Sixth, plug it on your PC, wait for like 2min you SHOULD get a blue BOX in odin and "Added" written down left
-Seventh, put the firmware you downloaded in AP, the .tar file, its +3GB
-Eighth, now wait for it to check md5, when its over click on start and wait. It should take 4 to 12 minutes, then all good your phone will reboots for itself.
-Nineth, I suggest you to do a factory reset after the phone booted, you turn off your S6, boot in recovery and factory reset then Reboot ( All data will be erased ! )
- 10, your S6 is back to life mate
Follow this instructions carefully, it will 100% work. If you need anything else i'm here to help you, dont freakout or something the issue is normal and will be easily fixed !

No no its not the motherboard, look let it completely discharge then charge it, let it for like 2h it will charge, your problem is software related not hardware

Hi Soufiansky my s6 is back thanks to you and sorry for the late answer but when I want to install the twrp mode with odin the phone can't reboot please help this time please and I could boot into download mode and twrp mode but the s6 can't reboot always the screen s6 edge powered by Android and then the same screen what can I do please don't let me alone

No problem happy it worked for you mate. For twrp, go to twrp website and download last twrp.tar file, put it in odin then reboot in download mode, plug your phone and wait to that blue box as i told you last time, then press start, wait for like 1 min and enjoy. Be sure you download a .tar file for G920F and put it in AP section, thats all it will definitely work

I did it and I downloaded the latest version of twrp 3.1.1.0 if. tar and it didn't work on my s6 edge so can you send me may be the right version if not is it a solution to download the firmware as we did before
if you have please a solution via twrp because it works but not the s6 edge help me and I'm on windows xp 32bits

Guide : How to fix Software issues or Red light of death of Xperia C2305 / CS39H

So first off all what is red light of death It a hard brick state of Xperia C2305/CS39H and it is mostly caused when you are installing a cwm recovery and that won’t match the S1 boot version of your device. Also it is caused by software update not properly installed some errors or incorrect rom flashing not suitable for your device. So before starting to the repairing process read the notes.
Notes :
1. This is official way to recover the device so the warranty will not be voild.

2.. You can use this process for any Xperia device having software issues ,hard brick , soft brick or bootloops any errors can be fixed by this.
3. In this process your stock android will be reinstall and all your data will be wiped so before starting. Take a backup from dr fone brick data repair download link is attached below you can download it and I will soon make a tutorial how to use it.
4. It is a stock rom so if you have unlocked bootloader it will not work you have to use unofficial flash tool to flash the rom.
5. If you face any issues during installation replay me below. Also read everything before starting.
6. You can proceed to the fix
So here how to fix it !!
Required :
1. Bricked Xperia C2305 or CS39H (softbrick , hardbrick ,any software issue, bootloops)
2. Windows PC or Mac but this procedure is only for Windows PC
3. Good Usb cable or Original cable best
4. Charger 800 mah or more. best way use original charger
5. Xperia Companion installed ( download link below windows only)
6. Xperia C2305/ CS39H USB drivers installed( download link below)
7. Proper high speed internet ( 800 kbps or more best 2 mbhs)
8. Time aprox 4hrs or more up to your internet speed
NOTE : BEFORE STARTING THIS OPEN THE BACK COVER OF THE DEVICE AND TAKE SOMETHING POINTED AND PRESS THE RESET
BUTTON WHEN YOU ARE CONNECTED TO THE PC WITH GREEN LED SHOWING THIS WILL WIPE THE THIRD PARTY CWM OR ANY RECOVERY ON YOUR DEVICE. IF YOU DONT THE UNSUPPORTED RECOVERY WILL BLOCK THE INSTALLION PROCESS. ONCE DONE FOLLOW THE STEPS.
So here the steps :
STEP ONE : See wheater your device is charged 80 % or not it is necessary because when you are in download mode alot of battery is consumed . Battery will not charge directly because device is non stop getting in download mode while charging consuming all the battery what is charged so how to charge battery First see the above notification led is off or on it is beside the front facing camera if its is on then the device is on off it by holding power button for 15sec once led is off insert usb and charge it again the above red led will on again off it by holding power button for 15sec Note disconnect the charging usb from device before pressing power button. Repeat this for 1 or 2 hr. Once done go to next step.
STEP TWO : First install Xperia C2305 / CS39H USB driver and then download Xperia Companion on your PC and open it then hit software repair chose smartphone and the hit click here. Once done it will download the drivers. Once done go to step three.
STEP THREE : hold power button for 15 sec then leave power button and hold vol- and insert the usb abd connect to pc don’t leave it until Xperia Companion detect it and leave the vol- and press next i agree all then it will download the OS of your device. NOTE : KEEP IN MIND OS SIZE IS APROXIMATELY 700 MB SO DATA CHARGES MAY APPLY I AM NOT RESPONBLE IF YOU HAVE TO PAY MORE FOR DATA PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK . Once done go to step four.
STEP FOUR: Disconnect the Usb and the start the device. First time will take 15 min or more to boot then select language and all the step up you are done.

I never roooted or installed roms to my phone and it suddenly died ! No boot or recovery ! why ? Is there something wrong with sony's software ?My phone is xperia c2305 ... I took it to service center three times and after a few week from repairing it,it always dies again ? So if install a custom rom ,will the problem be gone ?I also want to know how to install the drivers ... I downloaded it but I don't know what to do with it.

This is because your mother board has some issues if you have ever hard ware damage this is not new thing. Installing custom rom is not different then using stock the custom rom for xperia c are just stock themed so better dont install but sometimes it might able to slove the issue try installing custom rom. And the thing how to install drivers on yout windows pc charge the battery as shown in my guide then connect the usb to pc the go to control panel you will see the device as unidentified device click on it then search for driver on internet it will surely fail to find the hit browse then select the un zip driver file and select the driver it will install it you are done hit thanks if it works best wishes.

There might be some problem with your Phone's hardware. If it's still under warranty, maybe the company can replace your device but at least they can try to repair it for free.

I did what the topic said but xperia companion gives me an error .. please heeeelp !!

I tried twice but the download reaches to 1/3 of the bar then gives me the same error .

-My pc ia an hp laptop and i tried to use xperia companion on my desktop pc but the same problem
-yup my device is c2305
-I couldn't install adb drivers as nothing appear in the device manager
- yup it starts to download the os after (initializing) and connecting my device
- i think its a soft break as it just gave me an error while booting (Encryption unsuccessful) So I booted into recovery and selected (WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET) , So I got into a bootloop , it just stuck on SONY logo .. So I am trying to repaire it to face that error (UEupdatefailed UE2005)

hi, im in this same situation but after reading the replies i discovered I'm installing drivers not the proper way, thanks in somewhere in page 2. will try my luck again later today, I'm using win 7 32bit if that matters. also is there any other way to charge my device internal battery? I'm suspecting it's battery is almost depleted. coz everytime i connect my phone to usb, it shows unknown device with a steady red light indicates it recognize the device in my pc. but disappears around 10secs maybe as soon the led light starts blinking. if i charge the device in doesnt show any charging animation or led it just turn on by itself on sony logo then reboot on endless loop when charging on a wall charger
