Edit: Oh, i missed the real question, lol. The answer is; I don't know. Order it online as soon as it pops up and don't count on finding it in a store.

I heard that Xiaomi will be the only one's selling it, no third party sellers.

The phones spec's are nice, and if they would release MIUI natively without requiring a modding community that phone would probably sell like hot cakes. WTB that phone.
Yahh me2! But it's now going to come with Vanilla android 2.3.5 instead of MIUI stock.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using xda premium
At the moment They would have to make a major change in their policies before the phone could be released in the US. The GPL will need to be upheld and until that happens if you want one you will have to order one from China
Yahh since MIUI is closed source code, that would be awesome if they released it!

It would be very cool, but until they do they can't sell it in the US. I hope they do release it.
But could they sell it to the US people? And not have a base company in the US?

We can always import from China, there will be lots of sellers on eBay in the coming months I think.

no... where did you get this info?
it comes with MIUI and is dual-bootable into any other gingerbread rom people port to it. probably will be VGB, CM7, etc... Xiaomi is also trying to get rights and permissions to put WP7 on it but thats unlikely.

I got that information from a large tech review website. It was supposed to ship with MIUI on it, but they decided to ship With Vanilla Android 2.3.5 for those that want it, but no choice to begin with.

I just got one this week via China. Its really hard to get. They've just sold 500,000 in 24 hours and run out of stock. I doubt they will be coming to the rest of the world any time soon until they have satisfied Chinese domestic demand
Comes with stock MIUI - did an OTA update a couple of days ago. Build quality and spec is amazing for what I paid for it.
Xiaomi are offering owners the chance to beta test Android 4.0.3 (non MIUI). Not many manufacturers would take this approach
I have given up on this phone, and I am waiting on the SGS III
just have a look

Hey bluebird..
Im also really interested in buying this phone.. do u mind giving me some more info?
How much did u pay and what site did u get it off? guessing the xiaomi.com site?
Thanks a lot.
Spotted this deal on craigslist. Comes with a car and home charger for $95 obo. looks clean in the pics. Might be stolen though, so I'm not sure if it's worth it.
What's your take, guys?
Thank you!
Yeah. It sounds nice
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
from price point its a good deal as long as you could make sure ... everything works.
from xda point of view I guess this phone is among the few that got most attention from devs so there is a lot of custom FW available for this little phone.
out of curiosity ... why do you want to buy an older device?
I am sure you have your reasons ... but anyways ... just asking
It's for my lady she played with a galaxy s 4g in a t-mobile store and liked it. she still has a nokia 5800 lol haven't heard back from the person, so... found a galaxy s 4g for $75 lol waiting to hear back as well.
Xda gave the phone gingerbread but that is where it ends. No cm7 no miui. Truthfully, this phone is not getting the support.
Good news is that this phone is a great phone and at that price is worth it.

thank you, guys! haven't heard back from the people... oh well, was good talking to you all
My girlfriend was running cm7 nightlies. It runs really well, pulls home fast data on i9000 roms. As long as you go custom rom, it's a pretty good phone

we have a thread in the sensation sub-forum about gs2 and a lot of people didn't want to get it because of the quality issues with their vibrants and galaxie's. is it really that bad?
try to get the ime of the phone and call att and ask them to verify the ime if someone just reported if it was stolen or lost.. I did that before I buy a cheap phone from craigslist.. just to be cautious

Who's got the official update for Ice cream sandwich secondly in the world?
the answer is not Nexus S but Huawei Honor (U8860)
the official website of Huawei already provided the ICS update download at here:
http://www.huaweidevice.com/cn/technicaIndex.do?method=gotoProductSupport&productId=3826&tb=0
these photos are from CMO of Huawei's weibo(Chinese version of twitter)
just confirmed: although this offical update is a demo, not the final version, but Google, u just pissed our Nexus users off ! why still no OTA?
Wtf? I thought huawei was junk!

This is why Huawei has already the update: https://www.codeaurora.org/gitweb/quic/la/?p=kernel/msm.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/msm-3.0

It should be the first one to receive OTA update....
GN comes with ICS.
And huawei isn't bull ****... it should be the largest telecommunication hardware company in the world. Even the broadband you use right now is made by huawei...

Actually GN got the 4.0.1 OTA yeah I agree the 3g USB broadband stick was made by them and that helped me alot lol. When I had my HTC desire it helped me make gold cards.
Oh forgot to add, do you think Google reads this threads ? Lol. Because I need them to know that waiting for the update is hard.

I'm assume the person that said that was referring to their phones. They make cheap, ugly, low-quality devices that no one really cares for.
If google reads this, come one guys, you cant keep us waiting forever.
Why huawei first instead of NS
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
So it angers that they provided a preview? I am using a preview... who cares?
Where is my G Nexus?
You guys know the Google doesn't create the update for huwaie, right?
anything useful into those packages?
I've no idea about what hardware that Huwey uses... but I suppose there are other phones sharing the same SOC and that would make a good use of those binaries...
//EDIT:
if I'm not mistaken it uses the same SoC as the Desire HD?
I smell full ICS kernels for desire HD finally coming
Great move by Huavei! Don't realy care about ICS, gingerbread is great.
i think my nexus S 4g **** out a "huawei" a few weeks ago...

Only in North America, and that's only because the American gov't has limited the scope of Huawei's dealings with American carriers. They did so because Huawei works closely with the Chinese gov't and Congress didn't like that they would sell a lot of high end phones in the U.S. In the rest of the world, you can find high end devices that are competitive with Samsung and HTC.. So thank your Congressmen and women for that.

Its just a demo version. It can do nothing.

Question is........where can I get one in the uk and how much should I be paying for a new one and how much for a mint second hand one?
And the atrix 2 doesnt even show up on the product list on the motorola uk website!?
Thanks in advance.

Read the beginner's guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396650) to get an idea of where development for this phone is first. Locked bootloader (with no change in sight), an ICS update which has been moved from Q3 to an indefinite point in the future - it seems like Moto is trying to let this phone quietly die. If you're okay with that then sure, go for it... personally, I would opt for something made by a different company.
Locked down bootloader!
Enough said. I will give it a miss.
Thanks.

Glad I could help... I wish I had known when I bought the phone.
Be glad to trade my Atrix 2 for the Note!!!!!
Sooooo ignore these annoying commentators, but check out what showed up in a Entertainment Weekly advertisement.

It's a blackberry running android with a data connection and a T-Mobile Sim card.
What more could you want?
I'm going to try and find one of these magazines! I'll check book stores and grocery stores and the like.
at the very least you could just put the sim in a regular phone and make free calls and get free data.
anybody else have thoughts on this?
Found this in another thread, but notice how it said they only produced 1000... when I found out I realized my chances of finding one was slim.
Also, I believe this was from 2 days ago so its already too late

Yeah i read about the 1k on the mashable page :/ Hopefully in the future we'll get to see some XDA guy who got his hands on one. i was really hoping to find one. there's almost no way though.
as a side note about the advertisement, i think a QR code to the twitter feed would have worked just as well...
I wonder what would happen if you popped the SIM into another t-mo phone. Free data? Would they find out? I wish I could get one of these...
I can't see the appeal of blackberry let alone one that runs android.
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2
Nope. Its not a BlackBerry. The BlackBerry keyboard is curved for easier typing, not straight as in the video. Besides, since when did BlackBerries have 6 buttons and a camera in the centre with no flash? Unless, it was so long ago that I couldn't remember..

Another thread said it's the guts of an Abo 810. Unfortunately, there were only 1000 of them distributed in NY and LA, no love for subscribers.
