I'm running jokersax's cm10 on my atrix and tried to switch the boot animation, flashed it, and rebooted. But instead f the newly flashed animation, I got the default grey android one. I tried a ext3 and ext 4 version of the animation but neither helped. Any help would be appreciated.

I have recently rooted my LG Optimus V and I decided I wanted Gingerbread, so I flashed my stock rom, then installed CM7 through Rom Manager. I backed up my phone before installing. Now my phone starts up with CM7, but freezes during the blue welcome animation (where the blue android comes in on the skateboard). The arrow loops around, freezes, restarts the animation where the guy comes in on the skateboard, loops around, and freezes for good. I left it on in that position all night, but it doesnt get past the animation.
What do I do if my phone refuses to boot up? Any suggestions?

did you wipe dalvik cache, cache, and data before you flashed cm7? if not, boot into recovery (with your phone off, its home+vol down+power) and do so. if that doesnt work, restore your backup. from what ive heard, rom manager can cause some problems for our phone, so use amonra/thunderg recovery instead:

I changed my stock USCC boot animation and everything went well animation works phone boots normal, i then changed it to another boot animation and the animation works fine then freezes and reboots my phone over and over and over etc....
How could i get out of this loop?
Is it possible to push the original USCC animation back to its directory
"/system/customization/resources/"?
Finally fixed it, i booted into hboot and factory reset the phone, i then rebooted and it did the same thing again so i pulled the battery and restarted the phone again; did this 3 or 4 times and somehow managed to get into the android os.
I then changed the boot animation to stock all is fine now.

So, I just installed the ODIN version of drhonk's Bali 3.3 kernel over my stock froyo KD1. Everything is working beautifully, however, the start up boot animation looks really strange, as it has the stock boot as usual, but with the android label floating over top the stock boot. Kind of like the 2 different boot animations mixed with each other. Can anyone help me put the boot animation back to normal? Or even just help me put a prettier boot animation on this?
Thank you very much in advance.
you have to remove the bootanimation from system/bin (or etc..i forget which one)
keep the one in system/media
Thanks a bunch, solved my problem!
I have a Milestone and i was using froyomod 2.9.1.
Since i'm gonna give the phone to my brother, i decided to upgrade to 2.9.3 and wipe data before give him the phone.
I installed the 2.9.3 with the same extras as as installed 2.9.1: miui camera and crt animations, but now the phone is "bootlooping" in the X animation boot logo, soon after the "ooooing!" =)
Tried to use a more conservative overclock (900-600-500-350-250Mhz Normal Voltage) but is stills stucking =(
any tips?
redownloaded and reinstalled. FIXED!
Hello, forum
For quite a while, I've been getting a weird issue - I get a black screen while booting. When the phone's about to boot, the boot animation comes up. I thought that it was my ROM (stock, rooted CM11S), but installing PA 4.6 got the same result. I have multiROM installed. Could that be an issue?
Thanks
Raptor
Interesting question. So the initial boot splash screen is not showing, and near the final booting, the boot animation does show?
Have you tried adb refreshing a boot logo onto one or each of the partitions?
