You should add more info about what you have done, from what installation you coming etc

Im having a problem with updating to offical Verizon update I am rooted and I have removed most of the bloatware why does it have problem updating to 5.9.902 without being taken off the install path. im really also a newbe at this. what files do I need so I can update so I can put it on with each update. Also I believe I have also put on forever root would that be causing the problem I read somewhere. That could cause problems. Also what is that file that you go to to check for if you are rooted. Do you just use the stock text editor on the phone or do you need somthing special to read it.
Hi,
I installed Electron's ICS rom on my Verizon GT 7.7. It works great! However, now I'm getting constant update notices to install the update that Verizon is trying to push out (for the reduced battery consumption). This update is for honeycomb, so I'm sure I don't want to install it. The tablet is working great and I wouldn't want to mess with that right now anyway.
Does anyone know how to disable the auto-update checking, or freeze the update process? I saw in another post that someone was able to freeze the process, but he didn't say what process it was. I did some searching on the interwebs but came up with nothing.
The tablet is rooted (the Electron ROM came pre-rooted).
Any advice would be appreciated!
I've just received the 'update available' message on my v1.3 Samsung Focus running the Dynamics custom ROM. I was wondering what the correct way to update a custom ROM is so that I don't require a hard reset or similar. Can it be done just like a standard update without losing any data?
Will be nice to have those live tiles working again! (I honestly thought it was the ROM until I saw a mention of it in the changelog).

you can update via Zune without problem... no data loss...
Hey all,
I'm pretty new to this whole rooting and putting on ROMs thing, so I wanted to double check something.
I am running Cyanogen mod 10.2 right now and if I go into settings -> about tablet, it says I can update to nightly builds. If I do this, will it install just like an OTA update or would updating be the same as flashing a new ROM and I would lose everything? Thanks for the help in advance!
Anyone?
You wont loose anything if you will update it this way. BUT ! nightly updates are not really stable
Hi,
I have a problem wiht updating my H60-L02 automatically - as the phone restarts to update im greeting into an option to restart the phone - and upon restarting get the error update failed.
I'm really rubbish at this stuff and I'd like some help out, I understand I should search on the forums but there are endless threads which I cannot get anything of value quick enough.
My build is B313 - Emui 3.0, I believe this is a very old build? And would like to update to something with improved batterylife ect.
Stepwise instructions would really be appriciated!
