[Q] Unrooting EVO 4G LTE - General Questions and Answers

Okay so I stupidly rooted my EVO LTE without first creating a backup to restore to. Is there anyway to completely unroot and go back to the original sense ROM? I am really stressing out about this and need help. I don't care about having my apps or anything when I'm done, I just want to generally have it back to the way it was out of the box...

[Q] Unroot Question

If i unrooted my htc evo is there anyway of keeping all of my settings and apps. Is using titanium back the only way? And if it is, is there a way to backup my settings and other stuff like alarms? Please let me know.

Why cant I use sprint nextel app after rooting?

@jrose. this question would be better placed in the epic q&a rather than out here in general q&a, but i will try my best. syndicate rom, as far as i understand it deletes all the sprint bloatware when you flash it, but there should be a way of restoring certain apps.
do you use titanium backup? if so you might try restoring the app from a backup.
did you do a nandroid backup in cwm before flashing srf? if so, you might be able to restore the data partition using advanced restore in cwm.
as a last resort, you can always odin back to stock and reroot to get your epic back to where it was before you flashed srf.

[Q] Restoring Back To Stock

I'm new to the whole HTC Sensation thing and only had the phone for 2 days!, Was just wondering if it would be possible that if i flashed a ROM, could i easilly restore back so that I could send it back if needed for example with all the bloatware still there, no root, etc ?

[Q] Can you help me get back to stock Gingerbread?

Ok, first off, I'm kind of a newbie and probably did something stupid. Sorry. Let me explain.
I need to send my G2x back to TMobile for warranty replacement. I was running CM7 with ClockworkMod Recovery. I flashed back to stock recovery, and had stock Gingerbread load. Worked great. Only one problem: Superuser was still listed as a program. I don't want to send it in to TMobile with evidence that I rooted it. The only way to delete it seems to be to root phone again.
I tried rooting again, even reinstalled CM7, but couldn't find a way to delete superuser.apk. Then I started doing stupid things. In ClockworkMod I deleted just about everything, including the /system mount. Well, now, I can't seem to reload stock Gingerbread anymore, since I think I deleted the packages.
So, this is where I stand: I have ClockworkMod installed, I can load CM7 or other roms just fine. But when I flash back to stock recovery, I'm screwed. The phone can't find the proper stock Gingerbread files. What I need to be able to do is get it back to completely stock condition, so TMobile is none the wiser.
Please tell me there is a way to fix this! Thanks!
Nevermind
Nevermind, I figured it out. I did a restore of an old backup, then was able to find unroot .zip on XDA. Sorry for previous post -- I was freaking out and thought I had permanently messed up phone! Next time I'll read more before posting.

[Newbie] Backing up before rooting?

Ok so I've searched into this for a bit now but I don't want to mess up, so I made this thread...
I'm running version 4.0.3, I9020XXKI1 (Which is almost the same as I9020T right?), build number IML74K.
I want to root my phone, but I've had it unrooted for about a few months now. I don't want to lose much in when rooting. So is it possible to keep almost everything (i.e. past text messages, apps, widgets, home screens..) I've found a few apps that seem like they work, but I'm not sure

Hmm if I do that then root, will I be able to recover it after I've rooted? I thought rooting deletes everything including the SDcard where the backups are stored... I would get the Pro version and back everything up online but is that necessary?
Does copying everything from your phone when using USB storage work? How would I recover all of that after rooting, paste it back in?
