JB Stock Alarm Clock - Asus Transformer TF700

I can't get the stock alarm clock to work (using the Clock application).
I first tried it when I took a nap, I told Google Now to set an alarm clock for a certain time. I never woke up so I tested it out a bit.
The stock alarm clock, when it reaches the time, will ring for a split second, then stop. It will not ring for any more. The alarm appears in the notification as if it is working properly, asking for dismiss or snooze. But it just won't play.
Any solution to this?

I have the exact same problem...

The issue is with screen lock, try to disable screen lock and it should work, I believe there is one more type of screen lock also work, but the rest bom out. It's a bug with JB.

Duel alarm clock on notification

Anyone know how to just show one?

How long until the alarm goes off in that picture? I think when the alarm is less than an hour (or so) from going off, you get both notifications, including one in your pull down notification drawer that allows you to dismiss the alarm before it goes off.
I actually find it useful because I frequently wake up a few minutes before my alarm goes off and that provides an easy way to disable it.

KK Clock

Hey guys--
I've noticed an issue with the stock clock app since upgrading to KK. It adds a notification 2 hours before any alarm with the option to disable it, which is fine but unnecessary and it makes my status bar very sloppy since there's 2 alarm icons at that point. I'd rather just disable it.
I've researched and supposedly there's a setting in the clock app to disable it if you go to settings from the alarm screen. That doesn't seem to be the case in my version. Does anyone know if Moto removed that from their skin?
Any other ideas how to resolve this?
One idea I saw was to disable the clock app's permission for making a notification. Tried that, and the second icon did indeed still gone, obviously. But the alarm didn't work right. It sounded, but the screen didn't go on and the phone didn't vibrate. When I woke it up manually, the sound kept going off, but the only way to dismiss the alarm was to launch the app and turn the slider to off because no alarm screen ever appeared.
Any other ideas how to more successfully disable that notification?
Thanks!

Alarm clock screen wakeup?

On my old Nexus phone, when the google alarm clock would go off the screen would automatically light up to dismiss or snooze the alarm. On my F8331 on 7.0, the default sony alarm clock seems to require one of two things: either unlock the phone then find the alarm notification, then dismiss or snooze; or press a side button. I'm new to Xperia devices so forgive my ignorance but am I missing something to allow the alarm to wake the screen for dismissal? Trying to stick with the stock sony clock here too...
It's lighting/waking up the screen correctly on my 7.0 XZ?
Perhaps stamina mode is causing that effect if you happen to have it turned on.
Definitely not normal behaviour. Did you try clearing data/cache for the Alarm or Clock app?
Figured it out. It's bc of do not disturb+block visual disturbances+block when screen is off in the settings, sounds. Google clock ignores this (wakes the screen at alarm) however Sony clock does not. Just have to set the off time for do not disturb before the alarm goes off :good:
Thanks Racejal, it works now

3rd party alarm apps quit making sounds with PIE

Got the update yesterday. Alarm Clock Extreme quit working (sounds and notifications, the app shows the alarm working and can be disabled, but unless you are looking at the app you wouldn't know). Installed Alarm Clock Plus, same thing. Google Clock works but the volume keeps going to ZERO. Do Not Disturb is not enabled.
Any ideas? This is a Verizon Pixel 2. Thanks!

I use "Sleep as Android" and have not had any issues.
Thanks, John. I'll check that out now. Alarm Clock Extreme started working this morning, which is strange, it didn't have any recent updates.

OnePlus clock problems oos 10.x.x

So I have multiple issues with the clock
- timers do not pop up when finished, nor does the notifiy take me to the app.
I set a timer (either manually or via hey google) and leave the app, and lock the screen. When the timer finishes, the screen lights up, but doesn't take me to the timer screen so I can stop it, I have to unlock my phone, navigate to the clock app, go to the timer tab (sometimes) and stop it manually
- alarms don't play after the first alarm, the first alarm works normaly any subsequent alarm doesn't even wake the screen and then a persistent "upcoming alarm" notification sows up, and when tapped it takes me to the alarms tab on the clock app and a toast notification appears and says "your missed alarm was deleted." The alarm is not in the app, yet the notification is still there, and I am still late.
I reinstalled 9.5.x and the alarm and timer both behave as expected.
After an update, back to broken.
Could it be that you have installed several clocks?
Nope just the one clock
