[SOLVED] Possible brick after Smartflash - LG Optimus 3D

ok you guys have to help me fast!!!! i did this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1629307
ive done everything correct the download window appears and it says downloading complete and erasing something and so. it looks like its finished but it only went on for a couple of seconds everything was green. Should'nt it be like a progress bar and take some little more time? i thougt it was finished so i closed the download window and clicked start again but it says
ownload Start...
:We cant communicate with specific port and there is a big error.
The device isnt recognized in device manager.
I havent disconnected the usb yet becouse am afraid that if i do so the phone will be bricked!!
P.S ive just had it back from repair.

please any1? i will be so thankful for any answer. ive read all the recovering from brick guides but that requires you to disconnect the usb. I wonder if there is any solution when i havent disconnected it yet?

if :We cant communicate with specific port occurred before flashing started imo you should be okay pull the usb out and try boot the phone see what happens

But the first time i did it it said download complete and then it erased AP or something but the whole process only took a few seconds and then when a thought it was finished I closed it down. But then i thought when it said erasing and then erasing complete it maybe just erased the system bootloader and everything so i clicked start again and the error appeared.

IMO it is better and easier to use the kdz method that the dark lestat posted in development section

Should i disconnect and try to boot? Or is my phone hardbricked?

Haha I booted up my device and it worked but it didnt have a signal. I think smartflash only flashed radio so i will install a 21e rom and kernel.
Sorry if I bothered you guys ^^. Mods can close this thread

Disconnect Everything remove the battery for like a min pop it back in and switch on see if it boots.
If it boots use KDZ method
IF No boot try Flashtool again restart pc also

Ok so I installed prometheus rom + kernel but it has no signal it doesnt dect SIM. I think smartflash just simply erased all the radio software.

Don't give up just yet! Look what you just did! You recovered your phone after you thought it was beyond your ability to do so. What you ran into is a near worst case scenario and doesn't happen that often. If you have ClockworkMod Recovery installed on the phone, just download your desired ROM and follow the steps for flashing it through there. You can do some great stuff with custom ROMs and you've already proven you are able to handle the problems that come with it. Don't think of it as a mistake, but your first lesson.

HELP with Soft Brick

So I have an old Infuse that my kids use and it went crazy the other day. Not sure what happened. Long story short I keep getting a boot loop at the ATT screen. This phone is not rooted and I'm not sure if it was on Froyo or GB. I've flashed every return from brick I can find on XDA. I'm using Odin and I'm pretty familiar with flashing/rooting etc. Can't figure this one out. The only thing I can think is the boot loaders are not the correct ones? Not sure, I keep seeing GTG's ultimate unbrick but all the links I get to it don't work. this is the only thing I haven't tried. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit to add: After I flash in Odin it goes to reboot then does the open update, verifying update, installing update, successfully installed update package.
Copying media files it says failed to mount/sdcard, can't mount /sdcard your storage not prepared yet please use UI menu for format and reboot. ??? I think that's the problem. How do I fix??
Just search in the stickies for bootloaders. That will solve your problems

You mentioned it's boot-looping at the Samsung logo - perhaps there's an issue with the power button.

This happened to me earlier. What I did was-
1 Went to full stock using heimdal one click, After completetion, U may stuck in bootloop in at&t as you said
2 Flash efs.zip found in the link below using odin. put efs.zip in odin and untouch any other setting and flash, (Ur imei may be previously corrupted so u got bootloop). This doesnot do any harm. So flash with confidence. If ur device doesnot show up in odin after u flash with heimdal one click , reinstal drivers with kies mini
Link for download http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729838
3 Now u'll be out of AT&T bootloop if ur imei was previously corrupted.
I was in similar situation. And this solved my proble.
Hit me thanks if I helped you :good:
Thanks for all the advise. Still not working. Tried everything above and much more. Different things I do give different results but pretty much the same in end. Either sticks in recovery or boot loops one way or another. Really don't see how this could be related to software but you never know I guess.

[Q] No signal problem, just want to go back to before everything

Today I decided to root my phone, and did so with z4root. Then I installed a rom, using ClockWorkMode recovery, and crystal rom cm10 Jelly Bean. Everything works fine, except I get no cover/connection at all. From what I gathered by googling all day I probably didn't upgrade my old baseband to a new one, thus causing all of this. I get a null IMEI.
The version on my LG P500 was 2.2. I didn't make no backup whatsoever (I know, I know...).
Can I revert all the stuff I did today, returning to a factory state? Or any way to solve this mess?
Please, help.

But there are few known issues with KDZ updater i.e. you should never remove your battery when you are in emergency mode. As this can hard brick your phone.
.
Otherwise you can use this.

Don't do what the person above says, it will brick your phone and you will not be able to use your phone at all. Download lgmdp and flash v20g baseband through it (for files and tutorial search Google), do not interrupt the process. After it has finished, restart your phone and your network signal will come back.

Mr. Junior Einstein, read the whole post before you say anything. Stop provoking me to take any step against you.
I already posted a link for lgmdp thread for the convenience of user.
Thank you.
Unfortunately the computer won't recognize my phone when I connect it, if I don't switch mass storage on. Can I follow that procedure anyway? Otherwise how do I fix it?
Thanks.
KDZ should be the absolute last option you try, only if all else has failed and you r ready to accept a chance of a brick . Instead You can just flash the old bb fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39893089. This works for all roms ( makes them compatible with phones whose base band has not been upgraded). Enter recovery, flash rom, reboot then flash old bb fix then reboot. Works flawlessly. You have to flash this after every new rom you try and you can be on old bb for ever. No worries. Hope this helps.

KDZ will not brick your phone. If anything, LGMDP is just as likely to brick your phone. It is all about what you do or do not do, as in: do be careful, and do not interrupt the process until it says complete. This is true for BOTH programs.
I've used KDZ more than 20 times and not once have I bricked my phone.
I was able to fix using the old baseband fix here.
Thank you very much for your help!

Both have near equal chances of bricking / not bricking. All depends on how much you understand what each tool does, how it works & and what precautions you take.
Blind usage could lead to the grave whereas both are life savers too !!

Thanks for fast replies.. I already did it with the panda ball guide Im not sure if that is his exact name.
problem is that I cannot call phone says I have sim not inserted. My internal memory is 0.00 b so I cannot install ROM manager to get out of this
. After this flashing through PC do I still have my root and CWM ? If yes is there button combination to get in recovery? Btw there is notication going on every 20 seconds saying not enough space try again please help
I don't know who panda is or his guide but I can recommend you to follow drastic00s guide and you'll have V8 with custom recovery and root.
Be sure to flah xbsall v28b rooted and on top of it v8, like the guide says, so don't jump over some steps.
Do it step by step from the beginning.
Edit:And don't use rom manager, you don't need that.If I remember correctly It can brick your phone so don't use it.Anyway there is no need for it in the first place...
Edit2:When you flash V8 you can enter recovery like this:
1. When you power on or restart the phone, while the soft keys are blinking pres VOL-
or
2. Via P940 recovery app from your app drawer while the phone is booted(that app is installed with V8)

Can I do it even when my phone has the stock firmware?
Yes.
LG Flashtool is used to flash new .kdz firmware over any other firmware.
It doesn't matter on what android version you're now.
That means in the future you'll use the same guide to flash official v30b for P920 when it comes out.

LG P920 Reboot problem.

Hi, this is my first post on this forum so I hope that I post this in the right place.
My problem is that my phone keeps rebooting when I use ICS and I can't use any Rom under ICS, not even official, it just shows the LG logo for 1 second and turns off.
When I use ICS rom then I can use the phone but it uses to freeze and reboot very often. Sometimes every 10 seconds and sometimes I can use my phone for 5 minutes and then it reboots.
Also, sometimes after reboot it will show me a black screen that says the kernel crashed.
I don't know what is wrong... Only ice cream sandwich works and still with these annoying reboots. Also after reboot the screen will look broken (green and green pixels all over screen) and then it gets normal.
Please help me, I've been trying to fix my phone for some months now... I'm bout to throw it in the wall soon :banghead:
Tell me if you need any more info.
Also want to add that it is impossible to root my LG O3D.. The only way was to find a ics Rom with root. I tried JellyBam but couldn't turn on.
Please give some advice what I can do, thanks in advance.

Okay thanks for your reply, I will try that when I wake up zZzzZ
Edit: Followed every step, after installing the Rom from TWRP and rebooting system, then I got stuck at LG logo.
Maybe I need to do something with the kernel? Maybe I somehow installed wrong kernel without knowing it? I used XBSA V8 normal partition size. My computer is win7, using winrar, if that could help somehow.
Anyways thanks for your suggestion but I think my p920 belongs in the trash now :/

Glad someone knows what is the problem.
Yes I did hard reset it.
And I have already tried following that unbtick tutorial and it's the same, keeps rebooting when it wants.

Hardware failure is rare but possible. I still suspect driver issue or a corrupt download from antivirus. But who knows? Hard drives and flash drives fail. The fact it boots at all says to me corrupt system and bad flash or like GrMo said corrupt partitions.

i am do LG Flash Tool and Choose one official LG v28b ICS file (.bin and .fls files included) with root and custom recovery (Do not mirror these links):from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39269819
but and screen LG Flash Tool partition size 0 KBbytes
Recheck step 1. It is the most critical to have correct. Check all details carefully.
You must uninstall all leftover LG software from previous update attempt and reboot pc before starting with driver install or there will be software conflicts.

my phone LG with os 2.3 and i am upgrade to ics with LG Tool V30A.kdz and success but..why this Internal Storage no detect and notification on status bar blank sdcard......and i am LG flash Tool again with V21 ginger...success...but this problem same...blank sdcard.....
ah ok i understand. Use the LG-FlashTool with bin and fls binarys and the correct ddl for your phone. The Tool will partition your SDcard correctly. You say that you used a offical ROM with ROOT ? No official ROm has root =) Dowload your rom here http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=2 and unzip it with LG binextractor. Flash this via Lg FlashTool.
