Are we the only ones having these issues with the new almighty jelly bean update or did our fellow tf300 owners go through the same thing?

There are always issues with every update on every OS (iOS, Windows, MacOS, etc) no matter what brand, device, or architecture.
If anyone tells you different they are trying to sell you something.
From what I can tell the only ones with problems are the ones with root..... Which everyone knew was going to cause issues.... If you change your core system, expect problems when you get an update that alters said core system and requires the original files. Simple as that.
Also, it's one update for millions of variable systems. That's bound to cause issues.
Umm.. Which problems are we talking about? I was rooted and with update nada problems.
This is better update that I expected

People like me that were rooted and had done things like modify LCD density which modifies build.prop which prevents the OTA from going through.
It was just a small workaround that took maybe 15 minutes of time to manually reinstall .30, reroot, then reinstall JB.
I wouldn't even call it a problem, really.
I myself have no issues as far as I know but you get a lil nervous when you shwear everyone else's problems on here

Android was designed (...arguably) to be easily modified, of course we'll see problems come up because many users like to tweak their devices. I'm having problems with mine, though I know it's gone through a custom rom and several tweak mods. Am I frustrated that I can't access fastboot? Yes. Am I surprised? No. Am I raging at Asus? No.

Rooted my 700t, restored root with zero issues.
Project butter is obvious and smooth all over.
Google Now is CREEPY good at knowing what I need.
New notifications are great, everything seems awesome so far! A great update.

I've owned all 4 Asus Tablets. This is by far the best update since day one. Any and all issues I've ever had are gone. This is the way the Transformer was suppose to work since day one.
Now I can proudly say this is the best tablet on the market to date. Bar none!

This. Rooted, prepped for the update (unfroze stuff, restored build.prop). Updated, restored root, cold booted. I was going to factory reset but it is running so well right now, I may not bother unless I see some kind of crash, etc. Best update I've had on a TF so far.

Since i'm trying to find this issue over 2 months, i open a New Thread in here, in hope some developer will read or normal user who know how to deal with that.
I dont have this problem with others version of android, only with JB.
In JB, my camera is upside down/flipped, even if i want to make a picture or record a movie.
When i playback them, image is still flipped, it is so annoying.
As i said, so many months without an answer on this.
Your help will be much apreciated, thanks in advance!
No answer?
C`mon!
What ROM are you on. Have you tried going back to an ICS based ROM to see if it fixed the problem?

It doesn't, only stock based ROM's support it (Hydro, Cleanrom)
If it did support the dock I would be using it
this month
the tf300t has already gone in end of life, asus is introducting the new memo 301 that supersedes it so as for tf101 support will cease.
but 4.2 should be already done, they were working on it and I doubt that they wont release it.
If they don't update it to the android 4.2, we always have cyanogen mod and I bet the dock support will come soon as it also came pretty quick for cyanogen mod 10

Hell no!
Personally, I hope we'll never will. The UI sucks when in landscape mode. New functionalities are great but I don't think that they're worth geting used to new status bar.

if you dont want it just dont upgrade but why you want to piss off everybody else that want it?
4.2.x is extremely buggy, laggy and problematic. The new UI is terrible for a 10" tablet. Asus will have to do some serious work to make it work properly on the transformer without complaints imo. I'm not convinced we will see it.
I'm not looking forward to it if they do release it along with all the posts about how to go back to 4.1.1 due to the poorly designed UI.

I don't think the devs want to risk hard bricking their own phones. I know the devs with the International version will make ROMs based on that leak.
Yea too much differences between the two variants as they are completely different phones internally.

We're around 2-3 months behind the international version, correct? 4.2.1 has leaked but we're not even on 4.1.2 yet . I care but it's not a huge deal to me but some sort of timeline would be nice.
Hero just posted that he is porting it.

You guys that are getting excited about 4.2.1 must have never used it before. This version will become known as the Windows Vista of Android.
The biggest bug I have is https://code.google.com/p/android/i...c=ID Type Status Owner Summary Stars&id=39633 . It was somewhat fixed in 4.2.2, but not completely. There are several other issues introduced in 4.2. There are lots of people that believe that nothing since 4.1.2 has been better than that version. Each Android since then has had bugs that ruin the experience and should have been caught by the beta testing team.

You're talking strictly TW right? Because the only issues with 4.2 AOSP are the signal and bluetooth, which I believe was fixed with 4.2.2. The signal has been worked on and is actually pretty decent depending on which ROM you flash. What other "experience ruining" bugs have you dealt with?

4.2 on my nexus devices runs without a hitch. l haven't even had issues with Bluetooth. 4.2 on my S3 on the other hand has been a bit buggier. Data drops, crappy Bluetooth audio and crappy/inoperable camera have plagued every rom I've tried.

I hope Samsung is working on a theme/skin engine for TW. They've come a long way with the level of customization in TW, but it's just so [email protected] ugly. Can't wait to see what else Sammy has integrated with 4.2.

Hi All
I am new here so please bare with me.
I have a Samsung Note 10.1 Model GT-N8010 running Android 4.1.2
I was under the impression that the new update (4.1.2) would allow the ability to setup a 2nd user profile.
I can not seem to find the setup process.
If someone can help I would be grateful.
Many Thanks
I think you need to wait for 4.2.1 for multi-user.

No Waiting Buddy, be Happy.
you can use SwitchMe ( Root Required)
available on Google Play Store
Jb 4.2 isn't available from Samsung yet. Even if it was, i wouldn't touch it. The latest update to JB 4.2 still hasn't fixed the bluetooth issue that Google introduced with 4.2. Breaking bluetooth was a pretty bad coding glitch and releasing it to the public just plain sloppy. At times, Google looks as bad as MS.
I think your right, thanks for the help.

Hey guys,
I thought the tablet sucked with the stock Jelly Bean ROM, so last year-ish I upgraded to CleanROM (I believe that's what it was called?). Well I wanted to upgrade to a better ROM as this one seemed awfully sluggish after a few months. Unfortunately that process seemed incredibly difficult, and the instructions seemed really difficult for what might have been minor gains.
I guess my question is: is it worth it to upgrade? Are there significant gains to be had/will this tablet stop slowing down after awhile? If so, how hard is it to upgrade? Can someone point me into the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Try running lagfix off the play store as well as cleaning dalvik cache and cache from twrp. That should get you zipping along nicely again.
I'll give that a shot. What ROM are you running?
