Security update not working? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I have a rooted stock rom with ROM manager and the security update that fixed the browser security flaw won't work. I keep having to defer it. Any ideas on how to fix?

If you want to install it, Odin back to stock and take the update. If you don't want the update and want the notification gone, freeze SDM 1.0 with Titanium and it will never bother you again.

Does Beans ROM v8 block OTA updates??

I'm running Beans v8 and was just wondering if the OTAs are blocked automatically or if its something I'll need to do.
Wanted to ask cause I've been seeing some things about updates etc coming soon.
Don't wanna lose that unlocked boot loader!!!

Probably, even if it doesn't and you accept the OTA update it won't install it will just reboot and error out and boot back to your lock screen.

Pretty sure there's a FOTA blocker in there.

Blocking OTA from installing

The day the JB OTA was released I deferred it. It then downloaded a couple of days later, which surprised me. I deferred the install and immediately rooted and unlocked. Then I ran Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper. After noticing one continuous wakelock caused by SDM I froze it. I'm hoping all this blocks the OTA from installing itself. If not what else can I do?
Also where is the downloaded file so I can delete it? Thanks!

Sdm stops the ota

True ... plus if you download a custom rom most of em will get rid of that option all together so no worries ever again
Any idea where the OTA file that was downloaded is stored so I can delete it? Thanks again

OTA Jellybean update fails

So I'm running into difficulties updating to jellybean.
I'm rooted on stock 4.04,with the bootloader unlocked, and have vodoo ota installed.
When installing the update, it prompts me in cwm to install the untrusted package. So I click ok to continue.
A quarter way through it fails and reboots, then continues to reboot continously after it powers up to the home screen.
What am I doing wrong, what should I disable to install this ota update.
Thanks in advance

Possibly. If you can live without it temporarily without losing root, give it a try. For the update to work, you need to have your phone "stock" with the exception of being rooted, which you can protect with rootkeeper. Any apps that came stock, need to be there, etc. also make sure that your SU binaries are updated as well.
I tried the temp unroot and tried installing it, but it didn't work. I'll attempt to un install clockwork mod, and temp unroot and try it again.
Would you be able to save me some time and point me in the right direction for removing clockwork mod please

I'd say this is probably your problem. Always better to use TB, and just freeze the bloatware, but leave it in place.
