Does anyone know if it is possible to unlock the Samsung Infuse AT&T to be used with Verizon?

Not possible. ATT uses GSM, while Verizon uses CDMA.

no NOT at all lol its like using an am only radio to pick up fm freq's. its just the same way that tmo and att 3g are different
No it will never work. However the nexus s is now released on sprint, And that model will work on Verizon.
does the sprint nexus use a SIM card? im not familiar with there network, and will the verizon 4G work on the sprint nexus s ?
No no no.
None of the Nexus S models, nit even the sprint one, will work on Verizon.

okay thanks for the verification.
I have a tmobile galaxy s2 on a at&t network. I can flash skyrocket radios for lte ?

TMO GS2 does is not capable of LTE regardless of what you flash on it.
Search the forum for more info.
Would there be an advantage of using radios ?

This may be a noob question, but I couldn't find it anywhere... is there a way to flash the bands of tmobile on the infuse so I can have 4G capability while it's unlocked? I will be getting one in a few days. Just curious.

My understanding is that the hardware for the infuse only allows for Edge speeds on T-mobile's network. No amount of flashing can fix that.
You are correct /\

I have a VZW nexus with boot loader unlocked and rooted, I changed numbers and got a new sim but it won't activate. After making it to the VZW store the rep said my rooting the device was blocking activation. Any ideas what to do?

This is the wrong forum for it. I have never used vzw but I believe the sim card maybe for their 4g lte.

Indeed the sim is intended for the 4g lte radio it has no gsm capabilities so ita cdma

I've got an AT&T straight talk sim in my i9020t and can only get an edge connection, from what I can tell it looks like I need a Tmobile sim. I read about an SII that you could flash a radio that would make it work though, anyone know anything about this? I'd rather try flashing some before I order a new sim.
I've heard that too about the GSII, but I'm afraid the situation is different for the nexus s. Your I9020T's 3g radio will only work on tmobiles frequencies; the hardware's reception capabilities cannot be changed by flashing something.
Now, I'm not familiar with the sim you currently have in, BUT, if that network uses the same frequencies as T-Mobile, all you need to do is adjust your APN's.
I'd look up the frequencies for you, but I'm off to class..
Let my know how it goes/what you find!

Thanks I'll see what I can find.

I'm pretty sure that he's right about being stuck on the edge with at&t. 3g frequency only on tmobile. You would need a pentaband phone like the gnex to get both carriers 3g or hpsa+

Yep, at&t 3g frequencies are not the same as T-Mobile frequencies. You definitely need a T-Mobile sim for your i9020T
