Okay, so I tried one of the nightlies and went to cM 10 and then found out that my roam control app which I need desperately does not work on jelly bean, so I had to restore my nand backup to ice cream sandwich. I've tried changing my root explorer to trick the phone into thinking I'm on jelly bean but roam control which I need desperately does not work on jelly bean. Does anybody know how to get the jelly bean pop up to stop popping up constantly and let me remain in ICS for a little while? Thanks in advance.

What ROM are you running?

Most of the recent builds have it removed already.

Is your device rooted?

I am on rooted OTA ICS with bootmenu installed. ICS is on 1st system and I already did a full backup. How do I flash SCv7 and keep original ICS rom intact? I am guessing to install on 2nd system?
Figured it out! Works really well and super easy to switch between roms. SCv7 is lightweight and fast.

I had the non us version of the nexus s. It was stuck on 2.3.3. I dont recall where i got the update( I downloaded one from one of the threads on xda as there was no update available whenever I checked for ota) but I flashed it with 2.3.6. After that I received notifications for ics 4.0 then after applying that ota I got one for 4.0.4 I believe then one for jelly bean 4.1.2. Though all the updates went fine now I dont get signal on any network. When I look for manual network search it shows unknown network found and I cant connect. Could this be because I might have flashed a cdma version? If so how can i go back to stock 4.1.2 for the gsm model?
Start with this flash factory for the device http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33956691

It's a preferred thing. I personally would go with ics, while a few swear that gb is faster & stable

The stock LTE Xooms are on 4.0, ICS. Don't hold your breath for JB.:crying:
Being that the xoom was a google experience device you'd think they would still be supporting it, but it seems to be gone. If you really want 4.2.2 I would suggest jumping onto the rooting train and grabing EOS, etc.
No JB for Xoom MZ601
On the forumsite of Motorola you can find that our Xoom will stay on ICS 4.0.4.
So end of the story from Motorola.
