hi everyone, since last friday i start having issues with t-mobile 3g calling. if my universal is on 3g mode i can call or receive calls but we can't hear each other. basicly call connects but there is no voice coming or going.
i have called t-mobile they said had some calls about it and it will be fixed but i was wondering if anyone else having smilar issues?
So far, the rare, limited original Dell streak 5 can do voice but they are impossible to get. The US Galaxy Tab can be hacked for voice calls, but loses the 3g frequencies (which are different in Europe where the GT can do voice Arghhhhh
What are my options because I do not wish to carry two devices. Thanks!
Also, can the hacked GT use the bluetooth earpiece for voice calls?
from what i know, the galaxy tab can make voice calls and do 3G with no problem as long as your carrier supports one of this 900/1900/2100 freq for 3G, i ordered mine and it should be here soon.
The U.S. version wont do voice. They blocked voice calls. There is a hack (basically make it a europe version) but then the U.S. 3G frequencies wont work when using the hack/firmware from europe.
I need a tablet that also does voice, so I can carry one device.

Hi all, has anyone here tried or been successful in getting the data or lte over voice calls with Verizon's S6 using Tmobile? I have Tmobile and trying to use my gf's unlocked Verizon Galaxy S6. Almost everything works fine except that while on voice call, the signal drops to 1x and I can not simultaneously use data or receive mms. Are there any fixes for this? Any help would be appreciated as she is planning to switch from Verizon to Tmobile and I would love to just reuse the phone on Tmobile.
PS: Sorry not sure if this should be in a carrier specific thread. If so, not sure which one to choose since it sort of dual carrier concern

Try going to Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Mode and change it to LTE / GSM / UMTS and see if that helps.
Hi guys, i'm using N920P with China Mobile network now, i have a problem that is if i change the network to GSM/UMTS, I can't use 3/4G, but i'm still able to make or receive phone calls, but if i change it to LTE/CDMA, I can use LTE now but I can't make phone call anymore. I'm wondering what's the problem with my phone. Hope that someone can help me to fix it. Many thanks.

You can't use China Mobile 4G. Only way to do is to switch to China Unicom or Telecom, China Unicom supports 4G but may not be able to call at same time, but i think 3G is perfect, and you can use China Telecom 3G too. You can install a patch for China Telecom 4G but I don't recommend that. Otherwise you can bare with the 2G speed...And don't trust those people online who want to charge you after adding their QQ or wechat.
@sonvu2110 Try this rom http://bbs.gfan.com/android-8394771-1-1.html

I didn't try yet. but it says N920p supported. If u are on sprint, am not sure how it works.. but GSM should work well.

Using stock m9. Data 4g or other turns itself off when I start dialing and reconnects after I complete my call. Very frustrating when I need to search something while talking. Is there a setting I'm missing? Has anyone else noticed this?

Probably, you are missing VoLTE. Without this technology when phone using 4g and receiving call, it jumps to wcdma (3G) to get call, but drops mobile Internet in this moment.
To get everything working need:
- Mobile operator, who supports VoLTE
- Phone. Mate 9 supports VoLTE on paper, but not in all roms and not in all regions. For example, owner is living in USA, but has Mate 9 with chinese Rom -> no VoLTE.
You will have to enable VoLTE in order to get rid of the trouble.
I have the same issue also. I own the dual SIM variant and use one card for calling and the other one for mobile internet. Whenever I start a call the mobile data connection is stopping. I tried to enable VoLTE with no success.

In the latest C432 roms Huawei has removed the possibility to enable VOLTE for Vodafone Italy.
This possibility was present only in the first 2 update.

This is other case. If you are using one card for calling only, and second card for mobile internet only - you can't get call and mobile data together, cause Mate 9/Mate 9 Pro are DSDS phones (dual SIM dual standby)
To get what you want need have DSDA phone (dual SIM dual active). They are with two independent radio modules. Honor 8 for example.
Dsds phone has only one radio module but uses interchange method of work. On physical level it jumps from first sim to second then gets back to first. If you are in call with first sim, phone does not go to second -> no internet.
