[Q] Is the Samsung Reverb rootable? - General Questions and Answers

More than likely I'm jumping the gun here, but I was curious if anyone has experience rooting the Reverb (on VM)? And perhaps point me in a direction if so? I've been sweeping google but the vast majority of the results are related to the freshness of its release. Be gentle, my last 'smartphone' was an LG Dare with no internet access (lol don't ask). I'm a long time computer geek, but a virgin cell rooter on virgin mobile.
Thanks for your time!

I havent found anything yet...

neither here.....kinda been thinking it could be based off one of the galaxys s plus roots or 9070 roots?

Not sure if anyone here knows yet probably do but just in case here is the video on rooting the Reverb.
How to Root The Galaxy Reverb - Virgin Mobile

I have a newer Samsung Galaxy Reverb SPH-M950 Virgin Mobile that came with JB 4.1.2 pre-installed.
NONE of the Reverb Roots for JB are working.
I tried reverb-cwm-test-8 and cwm-touch-iconvmu-signed(cwm6030) for the Reverb with no success. I tried different versions of TWRP made for other Samsung phones, with different results, but still no success.
Odin3v304 does flash the recovery successfully, but the previous CWM's made for the older ICS based Reverbs do not boot when i finally get into Recovery mode with the OutOfBox 4.1.2 Reverbs.
Something has changed with the JB 4.1.2 pre-installed Reverbs that is not allowing the commonly know JB roots via Odin.
I really just want to put an older ICS build on this phone because of the TouchScreenLock issues it has with any JB build...
Anyone had success with newer Samsung Galaxy Reverb SPH-M950 Virgin Mobile that came with JB 4.1.2 pre-installed?
I notice the Kernel Version is dated April 30 of this year...hint?
NOTE: I have not Activated the phone yet (not sure that makes a difference)

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S2 root, rant & question

Ok. I do have questions on how to root my damn phone, they're at the bottom. But first, I bought the Galaxy S2 I9100G (note the G)
from LowYat (Malaysia) 2 weeks ago (March 9, 2012), and while there are those who are laughing at me, I'm sure many don't even know they
have the G variant. My problem might be more familiar with owners in South East Asia but please don't dimiss.
(To be honest, I've been playing some of the high end games like GTAIII and modern combat 3 among many others, and they really do run
beautifully without a hitch, so if the GPU is this good I wonder about the Mali-400's power)
My firmware:
model no.: GT-I9100G
os: Gingerbread 2.3.6
baseband: I9100GDZKL3
kernel: 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #2
build: GINGERBREAD.DZKL3
No rooting method seems to clarify it will work for my specific model.
Superoneclick doesn't work for 2.3.6; many other methods specifically mention not to try them on I9100G, but only on I9100.
However, some tutorials show methods for devices that match mine, except for the build version. For example, XXLB1 or DZKJ2.
Questions:
- I'd like to know if anyone has tried rooting with specs similiar to mine.
- My build version is DZKL3. Will methods on rooting XXLB1 or DZKJ2 work for mine? DZKL3 is an update of DZKJ2, while still considered 2.3.6. I don't know about XXLB1.
- Often when I connect my phone to the pc, Kies doesn't recognize any device, despite ending task, reconnecting, etc. Any solutions? (USB debugging mode is off)
Forgive me if this is a repetition of previous threads, but I couldn't find an answer as to wether my strangely unique build number
poses a threat. I wish I could post links to the manual I found but I'm new & unallowed. Do bear with me.

[Q] Stock Firmware For Strait Talk's Samsing Galaxy SII Model (SGH-S959G)

Is there any Stock Firmware And Kernels Out there yet For Strait Talk's Released Samsung Galaxy SII Model (SGH-S959G) yet? I'm rooted with the At&t root and can't flash Custom Recovery.:silly: and Looking for the stock firmware and kernel to flash to completely stock to be able to re-root for this exact model the SGH-S959G. It's only been released since late August so I'm sure there's got to be something in the works now or soon since it's still pretty new. If there is any info on this or where I could find the Original Android Development for this model would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I posted something similar to this a week or 2 ago figured id give it another shot to see if there is any updated info.

[Q] HELP - I have a messed Up Galaxy Note SGH-i717

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recently bought used i717 on Ebay. It is supposed to be unlocked but have not been able to confirm as the standard code does not work. Have not been able to root as superoneclick does not work. Finally got it to connect to Kies but Kies states latest ROM is installed.
When I go to Settings >>> About Phone - Model Number is Samsung SGH-i717, Android Version 2.3.6, Baseband Version T989UVKL1, Kernel version 2.6.35.11, Build number Gingerbread.UCLA1
When I boot up the ATT logo stuff is displayed and there was a bunch of ATT bloatware apps installed, most of which I deleted as I do not use ATT
Don't remember where I was but on one web site about upgrading stated that baseband version should be I717UCLA1, I717UCLF6, or I717UCMB4 before updatingand that It will be I717UCMD3 after the update.
I have discovered that the Baseband Version T989UVKL1 is for an SGH-T989, T-Mobile Samsung Galasy S II, which is probably the reason it won't update through Kies.
I want to upgrade to Jelly Bean 4.1.2.
Have considered Cyangenomod but afraid that with the non-ATT baseband I might brick it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am new to this and it has been very confusing so far.

[Q] Rooting Galaxy S4 with CF-auto-root (Canada)

I couldn't find a solution too specific to my phone, but was mostly just wondering, Does anyone know if the newest CF-auto-root is compatible with a Canadian SGH-I337M; Ver 4.4.2; Baseband VLUFNE1 on the MTS network? if so, where is a safe download source of the .tar?
And if not if there is anything that is compatible? Keep in mind im not looking to flash custom roms, i essentially want root to use rooted apps and all the devince freedom that comes with it. essentially a basic root. Also Ive previously rooted my S2 and an old motodroid so theres no need to review the rooting process ive got that down.
Thanks, any and all advice is appreciated!

Rooting and upgrading software questions - Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300T

I hope this is the correct section to post this. I have a sgs3 GT-I9300T that is/was carrier locked through Vodafone. I say is/was because I can currently use an Optus simcard without problems. This specific model does not support any upgrade past 4.3 jellybean (which is bs lol)
So here I am, a complete phone noob, wondering how to root this specific model and upgrade to at least the 4.4.4 KitKat port ive seen posted. Is there any guides or how tos on the subject? Is there a difference between both GT-I9300 and the T variation in terms of rooting/flashing custom roms etc?
I have a dream to become Pokémon master but my phone is not allowing me to become one. Please help me
can anyone help?
