Notification bar pull down problem - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I remember when I can pull down my notification bar halfway and it will show me my notifications. Now I have to pull down all the the way to see my notifications. Anyone know how I can get this back. The second pic shows a notification bar that shows the noti bar halfway. Thanks

install cm10? afaik thats part of sense and you can't change it unless you go to aosp rom.

That was one of my peeves when I switched from the GS II to the One X, too.
I can't find a way to change it on sense based ROMs.

To me this is insignificant... And in my mind I'm thinking really?
You have to pull it a little more than half way down to see it, plus the way HTC has it you actually see more notifications because you see from the bottom up
You can just flick downwards to pull it down quick and flick it back up to get rid of it
Otherwise switch to a aosp Rom, put your touchwiz launcher and enjoy

(Request)Replacement Lockscreen

Does anybody have a means of getting the same.lockscreen a the one used in the yeti and cydogenmod roms. I love the lockscreen that are used in these roms more specifically the lockscreen that had the lock on the left side of the screen that you swipe to the right to unlock and the sound button that swipes to the left. Anyways I have tried everything but I cannot seem to get that lockscreen on my phone. Does anyone have just the lockscreen apk that I can just flash . Someone please help.
Thanks

There is already a thread that discusses this. No. you must wait for a ROM with this otherwise a home replacement app is your best bet.

Well I was able to get it somewhat working but the screen layout is funky (see pic) is there a way to fix it
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA
it can, and will eventually be done i'm sure.

[Q] miui logo disapers

Why does my custom carrier always disapear when I open my phone after being locked on miui. I always have to toggle the carrier logo tab to see it but once my phone screen locks and I open my phone back up my logo is gone.

Do you have any notification or background apps using the top left of the status bar? My juice defender notification always hides the carrier text, but not seeing "MIUI" (the custom text i put) never really bothered me lol

Sweetness, that worked. So basically if we want the custome logo than we can't have anything running on the top left side of the status bar?

I haven't really looked into it but ya pretty much, must be a bug or something in extended settings. That's the main reason I never got around to DLing a logo, I like my notifications lol

Notification bar colour

Hi all,
Just wanting to confirm what colour everyone's notification bar is running stock sense 4.0?
I've just started setting up my replacement S and one thing that keeps catching my eye is the colour of the bar coming out of aps. One the home screen its transparent, but whilst using aps it's solid black.
Can't remember it catching my eye as much on my 1st handset and just wondering if there's a setting somewhere to change it.
Cheers.

Mines the same. I think it's normal lol

Ok, so think the colours are okay. Now I think I may have another issue that may be causing it to catch my eye.
When using an ap the bar is black as I said. When I hit the home button the bar stays black on the home screen for approx 0.5 of a second before it changes back to transparent. Enough as I say for it to catch my eye.
Would really appreciate it if someone else could do a wee test and see if they're phone is the same.
Thanks.

Help me find a rom

I have searched and tried several different roms, and like sense, but not the lock screen. Is there any newer roms that use the old pull screen down locks? I am currently back on stock rom, because I like the original look, but I know its really out of date.

Froyo is the only one with the lock screen bar on sense. All version of sense 3.0 and higher are going to have the ring. Aosp has the option of picking the bar. So I guess the answer is no if you still want sense (and who doesn't with an HTC phone)

Thank you Gizmoe. I guess i'm just gonna have to keep what I have for now.

You can keep what ever rom you want. There is an app on play store called magiclocker that comes with different lock screen skins. I like the Samsung puzzle lock screen but there are many more. Some are free and some are pay for if you want to change the locking feature.
If i would get that app, would i still have to pull the ring to answer calls? I really wouldn't mind pulling the ring to unlock, as long as I didn't have to pull the ring to answer calls. Sorry if i'm confusing anyone.

Just a heads up because I didn't figure out the first time, but you pull the icon into the ring to answer a call.

If my memory serves me correct Android Rev HD allows you to removed the HTC sense lock screen back to stock

I can't stand it.

This lockscreen is annoying as crap... I'm sorry m venting, I hate the fact that I can't take my text messages off the lockscreen. Or in order to use dash clock I have to pull down.... Again just venting. But other than that, I love this phone

He's referring to the checkbox next to "preview message" inside the settings of your messaging app.

It doesn't get rid of it off the lock screen. Just doesn't tell me who it is, which is even more annoying
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
yea, i dont like the new ls either... i prefer the aosp one...
Use the message center lock screen widget. Its a single communication screen for all messages. Does that help?
Guys the problem is this - when you enable ""Preview Message" it enables it on the lockscreen, which is nice I guess, whatever. But, this also enables you to see who sent the message in the notification shade.
Now, when you turn it OFF it still shows it in the lockscreen AND the notification shade but doesn't tell you who it is.
The big issue with this is, if you have a lock-pattern or other security turned on WITH "Preview Message" turned on, then anyone can see the contents of the SMS on the lockscreen - BAD SECURITY. On AOSP, this did not behave in this manner. On AOSP you would receive the notification, but that's all I need to see "Hey I have an sms!" - I don't need to preview this if I have enabled security on my phone for the very reason of keeping prying eyes off my phone.
I've never liked the new lockscreen of jellybean...I find lockscreen widgets annoying and pointless...then again I never really liked widgets in the first place haha

I was JUST going to post about that. I have some nosy ass girls who look over at my huge screen whenever they hear a beep or a buzz and I REALLY can't believe they wouldn't include a seperate option to NOT see the message preview from the lock screen.
It's nice to be able to preview it WHEN you slide the notification bar yourself but I don't need prying eyes on my lock screen.

We are talking aka ....LOCKSCREEN IS FUGLY! it will change when the devs get further along.
It's just crazy that Samsung wouldn't make it where you could turn it off..... Blah

im running apex launcher pro and rooted but even when i enable all the options , i get no notifications on my lockscreen , does it work with apex or only tw ?
I hate this lock screen too! It's so frustrating because I have long fingers, and I very often hit the clock when trying to swipe which just "grabs" the clock instead of unlocking the phone..
I am completely missing the point of widgets on your lock screen. I don't want them at all and I want to turn them off, but that's not an option. Why?? I want the screen to unlock whether I swipe the clock or a blank part of the screen!
Opening messages directly from the lock screen now is also a chore. Who thought to themselves that sliding a puzzle piece across the screen (or dragging your finger across an icon) to look at a message was too hard, and then came up with the current implementation? Click the message, then swipe your finger in a very specific part of the screen. Because that's intuitive.
We can have many home pages that have all of the widgets and icons we want on them. Why do we need an extra layer of them on our lock screens? If the lock screen weren't cumbersome to use, then shortcuts on the lock screen wouldn't be necessary because they wouldn't be saving any time.
The way the lock screen works really irritates me, and I honestly thought about just keeping my GS III because of it (and a couple of other things that are OT).
As cheesy as the slider lock screen on the iPhone is, one thing I really like about it is the ability to open the camera app directly without having to input my (corporate IT mandated) PIN to use it. That extra second or two wasted putting in my PIN on the S4 could mean I might miss a neat shot. It needs some tweaking, for sure.

No....just no...I hope your joking there are already enough threads talking about lag (which I still haven't experienced on my s4)
But yeah...once we get some roms cooking I'm sure devs will give us some better lockscreens...and probably even port the s3 lockscreen over
