I seen a few but don't know what sites are reliable to buy from and which tablets have any community dev support. Looks for something basic with wifi, 3g from a sim card and at least 4.0. I know some of you guys know about some of the decent cheap chinese/foreign tablets available.

You won't find much support for them here. Cheap Chinese devices are not big in the dev world.

That was my last hope since I won't take the dumbed down version coming to the states. I donated, hoping that my UK version will one day reach US 3G. My need for 3G is about 5%-10% of what I use this unit for, so if it never makes it, this will still be the best phone I've ever owned.
But the folks that contribute on this forum have done some miracles in the past....so I remain positive they will find a way.

I am looking for a touchscreen device, will allow me to sketch stuff, access cell-network or wifi hotspot on the fly as I move around but also let me use it to place calls when I need.
The HTC x7510 looks almost perfect for what I need. However the Shift may fit as well, or is there something coming in the near future I should wait for? Or a model I am missing that will provide the above reqs?
Appreciate any advice or information you can provide me.,
I am leaning towards the HTC Advantage x7510, but looking for input from you more experienced people. =)
BTW I live in Mexico so it has to work on Telcel network.
edit: I travel between the US / Mexico but plan on including Europe this year as well.

Google HTC Toth and see if you like it, it will be on sale later this year, Toth is the succesor of the Advantage.
Shift is also a very nice option but I think HTC have discontinued the model

Thanks, I had seen it and it looks very nice but its due out sometime 3rd or 4th quarter. (edit - its not much of an upgrade imo, faster cpu is the main thing. It may have better spec come release.) Going to need something sooner I think. I have pretty much decided on a x7510 but will wait till I hit head back to the States to pick one up.

This phone i've been looking at is actually pretty powerful, I just want to know if anyone actually owns one, or has anymore information about it than I can find on the internet. Even through searching here in XDA, it seems it isn't a widely known device.

I sold that phone a week after I made the Original post. It is a trash phone with no support. Get rid of it. No root capability.
