but say if i bought a htc touch pro, not fuze, will it work with the ATT 3G bands? Once again sorry if this has been spoken about, and thanks in advance my friends!

That was my last hope since I won't take the dumbed down version coming to the states. I donated, hoping that my UK version will one day reach US 3G. My need for 3G is about 5%-10% of what I use this unit for, so if it never makes it, this will still be the best phone I've ever owned.
But the folks that contribute on this forum have done some miracles in the past....so I remain positive they will find a way.

Planning to move on from my Hermes to a Kasier.
Got a good deal on hand from a second chance offer on one but it is locked to Orange.
I understand that there is not a free unlocker, but I remember reading that there has been one developed from the pro's on this site.
Who may this person be? I would much rather donate to a developer on this site than a guy on ebay I dont know and dont trust.

I am looking for a touchscreen device, will allow me to sketch stuff, access cell-network or wifi hotspot on the fly as I move around but also let me use it to place calls when I need.
The HTC x7510 looks almost perfect for what I need. However the Shift may fit as well, or is there something coming in the near future I should wait for? Or a model I am missing that will provide the above reqs?
Appreciate any advice or information you can provide me.,
I am leaning towards the HTC Advantage x7510, but looking for input from you more experienced people. =)
BTW I live in Mexico so it has to work on Telcel network.
edit: I travel between the US / Mexico but plan on including Europe this year as well.

Google HTC Toth and see if you like it, it will be on sale later this year, Toth is the succesor of the Advantage.
Shift is also a very nice option but I think HTC have discontinued the model

Thanks, I had seen it and it looks very nice but its due out sometime 3rd or 4th quarter. (edit - its not much of an upgrade imo, faster cpu is the main thing. It may have better spec come release.) Going to need something sooner I think. I have pretty much decided on a x7510 but will wait till I hit head back to the States to pick one up.

I have the opportunity to get an ATT Fuze for a good price and need opinions as to how good this phone is with the updated wm6.5 cooked ROM's? I can get the phone for $155 us. I am not under contract with anyone nor do I want to switch to T-mobile just to get the Touch pro2.

Hello mate welcome
I have a touch pro running 6.5 and the phone is really good, the only bugs are with the beta operating system not the phone. I paid £150 uk for mine which was a very good deal (About 200 us ???)

He'll be back to the Uni - if he can find one to buy. Some of us have tried those other devices and found the Uni the device to have. In case someone else out there is considering selling their Uni, I strongly advise you keep it even if you don't use it. You'll find yourself craving for a Uni again, and then be glad you never sold it!

I haven't used mine for ever, but every time I tink of selling it I just can't bring myself to go through with it. In fact, I pulled it out this afternoon and re-charged it. I don't know why, I guess I just miss it
Hey guys, my name is Sean and I'm from Pittsburgh PA.
So I believe I found the right place here at xda-dev. I just got a Touch Pro2 with sprint. The guy I bought the phone from offered me one with newer firmware but I told him I wanted the one with the oldest (in case some vulnerabilities were patched), so I think it is WM 6.1 or something, definitely not 6.5. Anyways, when I go to setting -> about is says TouchFLO 3D 2.1.38416.1; what other information can I find as to my version that may be of use to me?
I am sorry I am such a newb at this. Basically, I want to get the most out of my phone as possible (hell, it cost me 300$ [no rebate since I have an older data plan]) and do not even know where to start. There is so much information on these forums I am having a hard time making sense out of it. If anyone could give me some information as to how to figure out what I can do or some recommendations I would very much appreciate it. Thanks

I suggest you look on ppcgeeks for more cdma based TP2 information. Most of the people on the tp2 section there are sprint users.

So a few days back I installed mightyrom and about 20 cabs. Wasn't that difficult once i figured it out. Thanks for pointing me to ppcgeeks.
That's about it, but, what kind of stuff do you guys put on your tp2?
my personal favorite is slingbox, nothing like having a portable cable box that makes calls .
is it possible to play netflix's watch instantly on the tp2? That would be awesome.
