I saw this gorgeous phone recently. The sharpness of the screen + amazing viewing angles + the rest absolutely blew my mind.
I've also seen it is reasonably durable. I figure with a case it should be relatively good to go..
The problem I have is with no external SD card and absolutely no data to spare. (200 mb is my limit)
This phone loses its viability for me if I can't get more than 16 gb storage.
I googled about and haven't found anything about a 32gb version besides rumored spec sheets.. I am hoping maybe someone here will have heard something I haven't. Does anyone out there know anything about a possible 32 gb version of the One X with LTE support?

Well if you are buying it off contract, the only way would be the Australian HOX which is identical except it's better because you can root and unlock bootloader for it.

Sounds like a pretty great option if I could find a decent deal unlocked.
I'm Australian and as far as I know our version is only available at a Telstra (the carrier) store, on a Telstra plan.
Oh, and it's definitely 32gb, my fiance has one. But good luck getting your hands on one. Try eBay maybe.

You can buy them outright for about $750 AUD from the Telstra store...
Not sure if the LTE would work due to the different bands they operate on...

I don't think anyone can truly answer this for you though, which is why the atrix vs inspire threads keep popping up. In the end you'll have to weigh the pros and cons of the features and networks and decide what's best for "you"

I love the Inspire but HTC with a dual core snap dragon running army 1.2ghz,sounded kinda interesting. But your right. Atrix was a huge fail, thanks for advice.

When I got my Inspire I knew that there would be more dual core options later in the year. But I've got another upgrade due in August I figured I would sell the Inspire at that time if there was a good alternative then. I bet there will be an At&t variant that will be out by the end of the 3rd quarter. I don't think the Sensation will be the steaming pile of fail that the Atrix is and it will have a 1520 mAh battery.
When I look at the spec's it's basically an Inspire with the DC SD, a better screen and they found the room for the bigger battery. Add Gingerbread and Sense 3.0 out of the box and it looks like a Dev's dream. By then they'll be cooking IC Sandwich roms.
I'm sure it all will be ported to inspire.

haha I just read the last replies and i think, it's so funny how most guys here from the states always worry about the network . I mean who cares what phone you can get with At&t and which one with verizon. You can get pretty much every single phone to work with every single carrier. Just buy a phone without simlock and buy the plan from whatever network you want.
Anyway, dont know why i just brought that up again, i guess cause im german and i never ever bought a phone directly from a carrier before

It doesn't work like that.
AT&T and T-Mobile phones are not compatible with Verizon or Sprint. The opposite is true.
Verizon phones are not compatible with Sprint. The opposite is also true.
Even within GSM (AT&T and T-Mobile), they use different frequencies. AT&T is 1900MHz, while T-Mobile is 1700MHz. It's exceptionally rare to find a 3G GSM phone that works on both carriers.
So, yes, it is important to consider the network in the US, because you probably won't be able to take that phone to any other carrier and still get 3G.
Ok so I am last day in ny before going back to uk, I've seen some 32gb transformers in J&R for $540 but I want 16gb for 399 + tax....
Has anyone seen 16gb TF available in any of NY stores? I am a bit desparate (hence this post) as I really wanted to buy one while I am here in us but didn't anticipate such problems with availability....

That's the thing, if it was I'd go for it. But it isn't that much. 540 is about £330, considering you *may* need to pay import tax its not that much cheaper, and you don't have convenience of just taking it back to store if something goes wrong or you have light bleed or something...
And personally I discard difference between 32 and 16gb because frankly I don't need 32gb.... and SD cards are cheap...
So Yes, TF for $430 is a lot cheaper in us than in uk.$540 isn't that great price anymore....

Get the money, the phone, sell the iphone 4 for 425-450. You end up with ~500. Inspire is 325 on craigslist.
Check online for iphone 4 prices, just to be sure. Last I had looked, it was 425.
No Brainer. Inspires sell for 250 on here so even if you want to stick with one you are a couple hundred ahead for your trouble.
Personally though I would make the deal, sell the iphone, and grab a bell htc sensation for an additional 100!

Yeah Bell Mobility uses the same WCDMA bands as AT&T, you just need to carrier unlock it if the one you buy isn't already unlocked. Other than that you'll need to put in some APN settings but it's all a pretty easy process.
Just make sure you get the 850/1900 model (Bell, some others) and not the 700/2100 model (T-Mobile)

If you buy the T-Mobile version, correct, no WCDMA data will work. That's why it's silly to buy the wrong model. Canadian carriers use the WCDMA bands that AT&T uses. Even better, the Bell HTC Sensation doesn't even have a carrier logo slapped on it like the T-Mobile version does.

I really want to move from my Iphone 4 to the HOXL, but Im facing a serious problem. I cant find a 32GB to buy online.
Im from Brazil, and gonna be in the states in about 2 weeks (NY), so I was planning to buy one and send it to hotel.

The US/Canadian version of the HTC One X(L) only comes in the 16GB version. You can find the international Tegra 3 version of the One X online with 32GB, but no US carriers carry that model. If you want the XL with 32GB, you need to look to Europe, Asia, or Australia. I believe they have the LTE variant with 32GB of space.

Only Aussies and Europeans have 32GB I believe

I stand corrected. I thought the Hong Kong version had it as well, but it's only 16GB. Interestingly though, the HK version supports 42Mbps HSPA+ as well as LTE, and supports Tri-band LTE (European and HK bands). Wish ours could do that!

Aussie One XL also has HSPA+ :good:
I'm from Australia and we have the 32GB version but they are not cheap they cost around $650 while the quad core version cost here $500. I wouldn't pay the extra unless I was really desperate for 4G. Btw I'm on a contract just in case you wonder.

I don't see the lack of internal storage as a problem. If you have good coverage, and a decent amount of data, there are plenty of cloud services to fill in the gaps.
I almost considered selling my HOX and getting the German version for the extra space, and because I travel to Europe frequently. Two things stopped me. The $725 price tag, and the fact that the German carriers are doing their LTE buildout in the rural areas (areas poorly serviced by DSL and 3G). Only one of the three cities I am usually in has LTE coverage. At that point, I might as well just take my AT&T HOX over there and use the older, but still fast HSPA+ network.
Hey guys!
Thanks for the help!! AT&T version here we go =D

16gb is ok
I know this wasn't the question so sorry for off topic - I'm assuming this is WHY you're looking for the 32gb XL.
After transferring a ton of photos and videos taken with my old phone, a couple of albums worth of mp3s, and 2 audio books, I still have...4-5 gb free. 16gb is honestly more than sufficient. Just don't expect to load a bunch of full length movies or something onto your phone. I'm not missing the sdcard slot as much as I thought I would.
Not missing as much as I thought, but id pay a 200 dollar premium for a f'ing sdcard slot.

All of my music are in FLAC, so I need space =(
One of the things that made me stay away from the International version, was the quality of audio. The gsmarena review shows a poor performance in audio quality. On the other hand the AT&T version uses the same hardware as the HTC One S, which had a really good performance in audio =D
Here in Brazil the carriers offers a really bad service
The fastest speed I had in a HDSPA+ network was about 5MB/s Download and 2MB/s upload... balparking a dailly usage I would say the download is about 2MB/s and 0,8MB/s of upload.
And.. LTE .. who knows in the near future =(

You will have to call in to Verizon to switch devices - that would be the fastest way to do it. The new Droids use Nano-SIM cards vs. the micro of the S4.

Well, that depends on your location and if you can just go to a store to buy an adapter, but I would assume a phone call to Verizon would be faster than buying an adapter online and waiting for it to ship to you. Not to mention what EVOme just mentioned.

If you're switching multiple times then calling would be a hassle. Get a nano sim and an adapter that makes it the size of a micro and it'll be good.

Yes, agreed, but in this particular case, he needs to activate the Ultra now, which means the fastest way is to call up Verizon to do it. I'm just saying, for now, just give them a quick call. I don't think anyone would argue that getting an adapter for future switching is slower than calling each time.
