Hey guys, quick background. I bricked my SGS3 and had to have it replaced. I think I got a refurb phone because from day one I keep having the same issue. First day I got the replacement phone I rooted it and flashed CleanROM 5.0. Everything was peachy until I noticed that I have no 4G or 3G service. In fact, I had no data connectivity at all. My phone can make calls, receive texts no problem, won't connect to internet. If I restart the phone, I have 4G right away. After a few minutes, the 4G icon is on, but the phone won't has no data connection (when I say data connection I mean it will not go online, no internet, no android market, still have voice and txts). If I attempt to go on internet, I get a message saying "No Signal Found For Mobile Networks". I have installed Network Signal Info and right after a restart it says 4G LTE, data connected, upload+download activity. After a few minutes, it says 4G LTE, data connected, after a little while, it will switch to EHRPD, with data "connecting". Also, in the System tab, it will tell me my IEMI and version of JB running, next to "Radio", it says "unknow". WiFi works perfectly btw. My IEMI is perfectly fine,
I had it backed up. My phone number is still there.
Here is what I had tried so far: Switching into and out of Airplane mode, different programs that reset mobile connection, flashed different custom ROMs, flashed the stock kernel, flashed 3 or 4 verizon Modems, Data wipe, cache, Dalvik wipe, Odin'ed back to stock 4.0.1 ICS and had upgraded it to 4.1.1 via verizon software update, changed the SIM card, and reprovisioned the phone with that *3767*whatever the hell code. I'm out ideas.
If anyone has any other idea that I can try before I take it back to Verizon, please, let me know.

Did you go into your mobile data settings to make sure you're on CDMA/LTE? If not I would select and reboot the phone and see if the problem persists. I don't know if you have tried this but it's worth a shot.
I'm having literally the same exact problem with my mom's S3 except for it's not rooted, complete with 'download + upload activity' and 'unknown' radio. I've yet to find anything in my search, but if I do I'll post it here.

I did try that. Nothing seems to be working.
Hello, I'm hoping someone here can help me. After several hours on Google I can't seem to find a solution to my problem.
My Nexus 5 will connect to LTE with no problem most of the time, but every couple days it will connect to 3G for a while, and never switch back. I have preferred LTE setting enabled, and have tried to force LTE only in the *#*#INFO#*#* menu, but when I do, I lose all data, and it won't connect back again ever. The only way to fix is to factory reset my phone. I have tried changing the preferred to 3G and back, changing INFO to LTE/CDMA auto PRL again, and rebooting my phone several times. I reflashed to Radio, and restored system data using titanium Backup to a time where it was working. I am totally out of ideas. I would really appreciate any help. Running Mahdi Rom 2.9 Rooted.
This is the first help post for anything tech-related that I've ever posted- I'm usually good enough with Google to fix my own problems, but this one has me flustered.
Until yesterday I was running DigitalHigh's GPE ROM but decided to give Cyanogenmod another try after some persistent lag issues. Everything went fine during the install until I noticed that I was stuck on 3G no matter what I did- airplane mode, reboot, clear the cache, try to update APN settings, etc., nothing helped. Additionally, while the phone will connect to my home wireless network, it has a ! next to the connection symbol despite my being able to use the network with my laptop. The funny thing is, this only happens with some networks. Neither my home network nor the network at work will give me internet access, but if I plug an ethernet cable into my laptop and create an access point that way, I'm fine.
Here's what I've tried so far after scouring these and other forums:
-Reverted back to the previous ROM
-Flashed new firmware
-Flashed two new kernels
-Tried every different APN setting I can think of
-Popped out my sim card, waited a bit, and popped it back in
-Rebooted countless times
-Cleared every cache I can think of
-updated TWRP
There's probably more that I can't think of off the top of my head as well. Does anybody have any idea what on earth has happened to my phone?

I don't see factory reset using stock recovery (not twrp)
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
Randomly, earlier today my Galaxy S7 went from having signal fine to being unable to successfully connect to a network.
The problem is not the SIM, as I tried my SIM in another phone (fine) and a working SIM in mine (no luck). I even tried a different network but no luck.
The problem survives a reboot, and I tried resetting the network settings. I also tried clearing the cache partition. I haven't yet tried a full factory restore.
I'm on the latest S7 firmware - I'm a beta user for the Android 7 firmware.
Anyone had this issue and know a fix? It could be hardware but I'd find that a bit odd... I suspect something software is going on, as it detects the SIM fine, and shows a signal that fluctuates, it just seems unable to connect properly...
Thanks!
Resolved... turns out the phone I got 2 months ago (from CEX) had since been blacklisted - and it kicked in yesterday. I took it back to them, they're raging but I got a replacement!
I recently acquired a Permanently Unlocked US T-Mobile Galaxy s7 SM-G930T. Since I have Verizon, I flashed it to the latest Verizon Firmware SM-G930V from sammobile using the latest Odin. Everything went perfect.
The only problem is that the wifi will not stay connected.
It will connect for a few minutes at a time, and then, despite it saying it is still connected to wifi, videos will suddenly not load, apps will not open. I run a speed test and then it will show the little exclamation mark on my wifi signal, only then showing that wifi is not connect or having problems. It's very tedious as I go based off the wifi signal to and since it says it's connected i am missing important notifications despite my mobile data being connected. I have unlimited data with my carrier so i could simply stay connected to mobile data at all times, but i would like to have my wifi working again. Does anybody know what may be causing this problem.
I tried flashing it back to T-Mobile. and once again everything works perfect. except for the wifi. So i believe it may have to do with the firmware, or maybe i need another file or files that i still need to install? I have been researching it for a week and i just can not figure out a solution.
I tried resetting my router, nothing.
Different older firmwares for Verizon from Sammobile, nothing.
Resetting Cache in recovery mode, nothing.
Unchecking Smart switch (function for it to switch between mobile and wifi automatically), nothing.
Unchecked Wifi and bluetooth scanning, nothing.
Can somebody please help?
Just asking, what were the bootloader versions of the T-Mobile and Verizon ROM's you went back and forth with? *Bootloader version can be found in baseband number i.e SM-930TUVS4CRL1, The 4 is the BL.
