[Q] Unable to unlock bootloader... - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm trying to unlock my TF300T's bootloader, but no succes!
Asus' unlock tool just tells me to "please wait" for about 5 minutes and nothing happens. No reboot, nothing.
I also tried to run the tool after a full wipe.
Also downloaded "AsusInstaller.exe - Version V7 - 2012.05.22 update" which is mentioned under unlock tools in this topic but this only installs "Akamai NetSession Interface Console" and I have no clue what to do with that.
I really hope someone has a solution fast, going on holiday tonight :fingers-crossed:

BTW, I do see my serial number in tablet status and build number says: IML74K.WW_epad-9.4.3.29-20120511
I have the tablet for about 2 months now, and I haven't been able to get the JB update either.
EDIT: Got it working now after 25 or so retries!

No one here will be able to help you regarding the unlock tool. The serial number I don't know. For the tool, look a this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187777
Be persistent and good luck.

The only way to unlock your device is to use the Asus Unlock Tool. Some people have to run a few times in order for the tool to work. Sometime their server is down so you can keep trying for a few more times to make sure that is the case. Also you may need to turn on the "Unknown Source" in your security setting and double check that your network is working properly. Good luck. :fingers-crossed:

"Unknown serial number" sounds like a software defect that could be related to your inability to unlock. There is a partition on the internal storage (mmcblk0p5) that should contain your serial number and MAC address - the MAC address is sent to the Asus server to unlock. Maybe in your case this partition doesn't contain correct data.

how do I get into this data , and is it possible to add info , or is it better to rma tablet to asus for repair
I checked again - the partition actually contains sensor calibration data, the serial number, the chip UUID, and another number of unknown purpose (ISN) - apparently not the MAC address, unless it's derived from one of these.
To get access to the partition, you must be rooted. But if you want to unlock, maybe your best option is to try to get a replacement from the seller.

Nice, but neither google or forums are answering for my specific error message.
One more question, how to get back the stock firmware once i have modified my version by changing config files, moving dns servers off google, removed everythin smelling on google etc.?
One more thing, which might prove usefull to the EU users:
http://matija.suklje.name/rooting-and-flashing-your-device-does-not-void-the-warranty-in-eu
Bottom line, rooting / modifying the device cant void warrenty unless Asus would PROVE that the user action is the reason for the defect on the device. Also reversing is permitted in EU if the reason is interoperability, regardless of user agreement forced to you by the software / hardware creator.

I ran into this same problem when I unlocked my tablet recently. I found that if I downgraded to Android 4.1.1, firmware version 10.4.4.20, and used the version 7 unlock tool, everything worked like it should. The firmware can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1946456
And I used the method here to downgrade:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1833212
I hope this helps.
Thanks goes to Pretoriano80 for compiling the downgrade method and keeping track of the older firmware!

Followed this, and it worked for me as well. But this wasn't before contacting ASUS to state that the device wasn't unlocking, and them claiming that their system already shows my device as "Unlocked and rooted" despite the fact it was nether?
(Thought that the last bit was worth of note as well...since prior to even unlocking my warranty was/is void)
In my case it turned out they had replaced the serial number of the device with the one of the dock. That had happened while the tablet was rma'd fot repair the last summer.
I banged my head to the wall for two weeks before noticing the error. The tablet had to be sent back to rma. Asus corrected the serial, andd then the unlock worked after couple tries.
It was tough....

[Q] Asus Memo Pad 10 (ME102a) Android 4.2.2 -- How to downgrade to 4.1

Hi all,
I have Asus Memo Pad 10 (ME102a) currently with Android 4.2.2 with kernal version ww_3.11.0.99#1
problem
My tablet was working fine up to last week. I had for some reason delayed updating the system update available from Asus. Recently I went ahead with the system updates and now I am stuck with my wifi not connecting.
My wifi currently scans and detects wifi. When I try to connect to open or secured wifi the signal strength drops and the wifi is not able to connect. I have tried it with different routers as well as tried using static IP. I have tired restarting, factory wipe but no go.
Asus Customer Support
They have told me it is a software issue and i would have to wait for the next update. Asus doesn't know when the next update is coming. They said I would have to sent it to them to downgrade it. The tablet was purchased in the USA and I am currently overseas and trying to get this issue resolved.
So far I have done the following
I have rooted my tablet and have super user access.
I have installed CWM recovery
I have found the original kernal file from Asus UL-K00F-WW-3.9.0.82-user
I can't do the following
I tried installing the original kernal file UL-K00F-WW-3.9.0.82-user but the installation keeps on getting aborted. (I think the loader doesn't allow it install) ---- Do I need to unlock the bootloader if so how??? I have tried to unlock the bootloader but I haven't been able to.
If someone knows any other way to fix this issue please share.
Thanks to all in advance

i want to load some firmware on my s8 g950fd with odin but my phone keeps coming up with errors
any idea what it means?
and the main problem is my bootloader kinda got problems suddenly my phone stopped responding and turned off too a bootloop
oem is not unlocked and usb debuging is of i managed to reset factory but system is not booting i only have access to bootmenu and download mode my firmware was up to date so there is no way to downgrade to a version before 2019 may updates
after dayus of struggling i gave it to a store they managed to run some firmware on it but when it booted as the first incident after some minutes it stuck and started a bootloop im guessing its because of bootloader firmware tried every way and i was trying combination firmware that might have worked now it gives the error mentioned up there which means my binariers doesnt match whit the firmware any other ideas are welcome
and if you know a way to try a new bootloader i would be happy
and also in bootmenu botom it is written "E:[libfs_mgr]is_dt_compatible(): firmware info was not valid: '/proc/dvice-tree/firmware/android/compatible': no such file or directory"
Take phone to authorized service center and let them fix it.
