Hi--
I had Inesoft Phone 4.5 on my kaiser, and all of a sudden my volume control (the knob on the side) stopped working. I uninstalled it, but still have the same problem. On every call, incoming and outgoing, the volume goes all the way UP...kinda like I'm perpetually on speakerphone. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? It's about to drive me NUTS! Thanks!

weird.. never heard of this problem.
try installing a different volume control.. and either keep it if it works or uninstall it to see if anything's change
If you cannot hear from others when call somebody on the phone, try the following tips:
1. First check to see if the volume is too low. Turn up the volume. You can press the volume button on the side of the phone to turn up the volume.
2. If the first step cannot works, then you can try to pull out protective cell phone case which might be a cause
3. You can also try to reboot the phone. Many small problems can be solved by restarting the devices.
4. Or maybe the earpiece speaker is dirty. Just try to clean it with alcohol.
5. If none of these tricks work, you need to replace the new earpiece speaker.
Thanks worked like a charm
I have a problem... Speaker phone is shouting in to my ear and I am unable to tune the volume down: it will not react to volume buttons during a call and I could not find any other way to adjust it.
People are "shouting in to my ear and I start talking loud as well... Very frustrating.
Any suggestions?
- Try restarting the phone
Tried that at least once in past 6 months of usage.
- Reflash stock
It is stock.
Anyone else have ideas? How does (and should for me) volume control work on your phones?
- Re-flash stock, because maybe you change something or installed a mod that interfere with the speaker.
Hello guys, first post here.
So I have this problem with my Z1c: When my headphones are connected, the notification volume goes all the way up and when I am listening to music, the volume of it randomly goes up and down (without me pressing any buttons). Also, the power button stops working, I can't turn the screen off.
I think my phone is recognizing my headphones as a headset (Smart Connect says so) and it thinks I am pressing some non-existent buttons.
I have tried disabling Smart Connect and even factory resetting my Z1c. Neither has solved the problem. Is the headphone jack busted?
By the way, the problem exists with both my in-ears and over-ear headphones.
I haven't found anything online about this particular problem.
Thanks,

Haven't ever used smart connect myself, but there's obviously bugs with it, (quick search turns up pages of complaints on Sony forums). Seems like one of those things they just didn't get right, in general. Since it's persistent after hard reset, my guess is hardware, but just to be clear - when you did a factory reset, it still did the same thing right off the bat, without you adding or tweaking anything, right? Also did you just factory reset, or did you reflash the rom? If it's a problem with the system flash, a reset won't change it.
I would try to reflash system, and see if the same. Also, are you rooted? You can try removing smart connect app, etc. (make a backup)...
Also, have you seen this - https://play.google.com/store/apps/...key&pcampaignid=APPU_1_kgNwWerXJYbf-QHv8Jy4Aw

Thanks for your reply levone,
Smart Connect was working flawlessly for me since i got the phone which was a couple of years ago, but unfortunately these last few days I have run into this problem. My phone isn't rooted, so I can't remove it. (it's a system app)
I just did a factory reset, not a reflash, and it did the same thing right off the bat. I don't know how to reflash, so I'll have to research that if the problem persists.
I will try the Smartkey app, thanks for that.
Alright, I tried Smartkey, the problem is still there. Next I tried reflashing the ROM, the problem is still there .
Next I tried disabling Smart Connect and installing Smartkey on the reflashed phone, just to see if it did anything, it didn't.
So, this must be a hardware problem, right? Headphone jack busted in some way?
Appreciate your thoughts,
Hello,
i had also issues with the headphone jack. In mine were fluffs (lint, dust - not my native language, so sorry for using bad words).
after removing there weren´t any issues.
Greetings
I had the same problem. Replacing the headphone connector was the solution, in my case of course. But you could first try to clean connector. If problem persist you have to change definitely the connector.
Randomly, my phone started doing weird things when my headset is plugged in. It has never done this before. I have a feeling that this started when I Assigned Buttons that was meant for 3-buttoned headset on to mine with one button.
Every time I set it to control music playback, it randomly plays different music from my music app. And when I set it to control volume level, the volume goes crazy. But I tried headphones with no buttons at all and it doesn't do crazy things.
I have MIUI 11.0.5 and I've tried searching for this problem but I couldn't find a solution. Is there, like, a way to reset the settings for the assigned buttons?
Also, let me ask this, why doesn't my settings doesn't have options for one buttoned headset?

I had the same issue. Turned out it was the issue with the headphone buttons. I just claimed money for the headphones and got refunded in full. If your headphones have warranty, claim it. If not, then there is just one thing you can do, put feviquick on the heaphone button so it can't be pressed at all.
P.S: It might even make the headphones unusable. Proceed with caution.
