[Q] Switching to VRZN in a few months, pros & cons of Galaxy line vs. Nexus line? - General Questions and Answers

Switching over from Sprint to Verizon in a few months, and I was wondering what advantages/disadvantages the Galaxy and Nexus lines of phones have in comparison to each other on Verizon's service, as in a few months i will be on the hunt for a new smartphone. Can some of you nice folks list off some of said advantages/disadvantages from experience?

[Q] Which is a better deal?

I currently have an opportunity to buy either an HTC One X for $50, a Samsung GS3 for $50, or a Samsung GS2 SkyRocket for $10.....Which would be the better choice? I am constantly flashing ROMs. I have also used Samsung devices a lot more than HTC, but that's not to say that I would be opposed to getting either one. I just need some advice, I'm pretty torn here. Please Help!:fingers-crossed:

Best VZW Option?

So my GNex is getting long in the tooth and I'm thinking on a new phone. I am grandfathered into VZW unlimited data and run the house off of it to the tune of around 50gb/mo. I was looking at the Galaxy S4 (I do like Samsung) but it seems pretty darn locked down in regards to being able to run custom ROMS on. Any input on what else I might consider? Obviously to keep my current plan, I'll be buying my next phone on the open market ...

[Q] Phone with slide keyboard recommendations? (T-Mo)

My wife needs a new phone. Her Galaxy S Relay is about to kick the bucket.
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a phone, we are on T-Mobile. Trying to stay away from the t-moble brand phones if possible. It HAS to have a slide out keyboard or else she will flip out

LG G3 vs Note 4

I have a Galaxy Note 2 right now and love it. Wife has the S3, and we've had Samsung phones for years now. Our contract is up in November with crap T-Mobile, and we plan to move to Verizon after 16 years and are torn between a pair of Note 4's or a pair of G3's... What do you all think?

Hi JustM!

Looking to upgrade from Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on Verizon...

Hi:
I have the Samsung Galaxy Note IIs on Verizon running Android 4.1.2. I want to upgrade but have several questions. Mainly, I want to keep verizon as my carrier but want easy root capability and I have been sorely disappointed with the Samsung camera and those annoying blue dots i low light.
Currently, I understand there is no root if I upgrade my Note2 to the most recent version through Verizon, so the field is wide open for suggestions.
Things that are important to me.
I use my phone as a camera so I want a decent one.
I use my phone for navigation, both on land and water so GPS/battery is important
I use my phone as a hotspot using Foxfi. (I have the old VErizon unlimited dataplan and don't want to lose that.
Thanks!
