s-off

Why not try to call your customer service and request an unlock code? I did that with Vodafone UK and a few days later they sent me the code. It was free of charge! Give it a try!

Huh? I didn't pay for anything ha I used the method on here just wanted to actually have it unlocked before sending it out rather than just the unlock code... Since I don't have another companies sim... But got it figured out

Sensation does not ask for unlock code

Hi all. I've been using my second-hand bought sensation for a week now. But i have one problem. I have to unlock it to actually be able to use it as a phone.
Why is this a problem? Well, i have followed a guide here on xda to unlock it and have acquired the unlock code. Thing is, the sensation does not ask for the unlock code.
The guy i got it from tried to unlock it himself using "diag" and "s65/s85" but he failed.
So my question is, how do i get it to ask for the unlock code?
Thanks

So there is no way to relock it to unlock it the right way?

How about a complete reset back to stock?
I don't know enough about the unlocking process to know if a complete stock reset would wipe the unlock and leave the phone relocked. But hopefully by me stating the possibility you'll see 3 answers shortly from people who do know nad you can either try it or rule it out.
Never seen a similar relock I have ruu flashed every way on here if u put a att similar card in and it don't ask for code it unlocked
Now if you see x and not a signal then your blocked call tmoble and ask if it can be unblocked most likly not

Well, I don't see x, but I get no reception

Would changing the mainboard solve the problem? (Yes, I'm willing to go that far....)

I've tried to clear s-58 data before. It didn't help, but thanks for trying.
I think i'm just suffering from bad esn.
What model is the phone and what provider are you trying to use? You might need to change the modem to do that look in the radio thread. The modem basically changes the frequency so you can use it on providers who uses a different one.

How to go about unlocking this device? Please I need some information..

Okay as far as I know this device (AT&T Evita ) can only be SIM unlocked by vendors on eBay or asking AT&T for the unlock code. Am I right ?
Only thing is, is that I bought this phone for $60 off a friend, yeah I know, very cheap. Only because he upgraded to the iPhone 5. And now I own the device and have it on AT&T Pre-Paid plan and I know the only other service I can put this on is a Straight Talk with the a AT&T Compatible SIM without the unlock code ..... But my over all question is can I call up AT&T and ask for the code since this device has Clean ESN and is no longer in there system due too an upgrade?

You should have no problems getting an unlock code. Keep in mind that it'll need to be on a Sense ROM for the unlock code to work.

Thanks, kinda knew you'd comment ;p I'm on Turge's Sense 5 rom, will that be fine even if it's not AT&T sense rom?

As far as I know, it doesn't matter that it isn't an at&t ROM, as long as it's Sense.
