Hi,
I have upgraded to 4.0.4 and I have disabled haptic feedback from the 'Sounds' menu. Everything else seems to be smooth except when typing an SMS (using the built-in app)
How can I disable the vibration/haptic for 'Messages' app?
I have looked under the Languages & Keyboard menu, but I cannot see any 'Feedback' menu in there.
solved. there's a hidden menu under the 'touch input' option.. strange..

Today "Dial Lookup" - Do NOT intercept ALWAYS keyboard keys. Is that possible?
Hi,
I would like to know if it's possible to get focus on the Dial Lookup plugin ("Type a name or a number") only when I've selected it, so when I type with the keyboard it should "wake him up" only if I've selected it?
It will be useful for me so I'll be able to use my keyboard for SPB Diary too...
Thanks!
PS: I'm using the great WM6!!
just unselect it under settings -> today -> items
its hidden now, but when you type in numbers it will pop up

Thanks but I see that you're not getting what I'm asking... I'm asking if there is any way that the plugin should stay on the today, but that when I type numbers they shouldn't "go" to this plugin only if this plugin is selected (focus...).
It's working that way for all the other plugins, that the keyboard is used for the selected plugin only...
Any idea?
ahh, sorry, now i got.
i have kind a like the same with using pocket breeze. can only use the stylus in the plugin itself.
i dont think this will work, even with reg hack. because even if you deactivate this plugin totally and you type in anything, the regular WM5 contacts search will popup anyway.
Thanks for your reply.. Anyone has an idea how to do it?

Use schaps Advanced Configuration Tool, go to: Menu -> More settings -> ClearType. Make sure the checkbox is unchecked for "Enable ClearType on screen rotation." Click Done and soft reset. If you don't have Advanced Config, find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418151
I am using Samsung Galaxy Y S5360, during silent mode the messages notifications are not vibrating but on call it vibrate..
Please help me out..
Not familiar with your device, but there is an app in Google Play for "smart vibrator" , It's lets you customize different types of vibrations length, power, freqency, for just about every notification that uses vibraton.
Well if you go to messages then click the menu button and go to settings go down to the bottom and under "Notification Settings" and click the tick box for "vibrate" that should work.
the tips help u
u go to Langue & Input, then choose keyboard options and click viration on press
Config it!
Just go to Settings->Sound
And here you have all the settings.

Hey all,
Got my HTC One S yesterday and first thing I went to do was change the keyboard to Smart Keyboard Pro, installed it OK but the usual step of long pressing on any text entry box doesn't bring up the option to choose the input method.
Has this been changed in Sense and I'm just not seeing the option?
Thanks for your help.
Russ
sometimes it will be in the notification bar..
Or just go to settings > Language and keyboard > then select preferred keyboard
Aha! I did have it turned on in settings but quite rightly the input method option now lives in the notification area. Many thanks!
I am using Black Dragon rom and unable to change keyboard also no matter if you set the settings for it.

Liking the phone so far, except gesture typing with the android keyboard will not work. I have enabled this in the android keyboard settings, and even tried restarting the phone, with no success. Is this a known issue? Anyone having the same problem?

I have no issue with the app. What is you problem? Is it that when you go to type the regular keyboard is showing? If so hit the globe icon next to the space bar. That will either auto switch to Google Handwriting Input or give you a menu to with the option to choose Google Handwriting Input. If that isn't your problem then please tell us what specific issue you're having.

Sorry, I was not too specific. In the messaging app, or search widget, or any time when the android keyboard pops up, I am unable to use swipe to input text, that is, inputting a word by sliding through the letters. This is in spite of gesture typing being enabled in android keyboard settings. Settings/Language and Input/Android Keyboard/Gesture Typing
Thanks

Oh OK. Yeah it's a known issue. Install the Google Keyboard from the play store. That one works fine.
