Galaxy Fit GT-S5670 - MIBIB Download & SETUP CONNECTION

This thread is for those friends who are new to android.
I found that many of us, who wants to move from custom roms to stock roms through odin, have faced some big problems like MIBIB download or SETUP CONNECTION . This happened with me as well... when I moved from cyanogenmod to froyo. So, based on my experience, here are some suggestions which may help you:-
When you select the OPS file, check its name. Its name should be "BENI_v1.0.ops" (without quotes) otherwise odin will not show your device's model number at the top and will stop at MIBIB Download. Please Note that as soon as you select the ops file, odin will show the model number of the device in its title bar regardless of whether the phone is physcally connected to PC or not. In my case, the mbib download problem is solved by renaming the OPS file. You can now install the stock firmware as normal.
If odin is showing the message "setup connection" and your Galaxy Fit is still connected to PC (i.e. COM port mapping box is yellow), then try another stock firmware. In my case, odin stopped at setup connection when I was installing froyo, so then I tried the One Package Gingerbread firmware. And Odin successfully installed it(you can also try another usb port). After then, I went for Froyo once again & Odin successfully installed it too.
Please remember that doing things unknowingly may damage your device. Once the phone is in DOWNLOAD MODE, it can not be switched on either normally or in recovery. It can only enter in DOWNLOAD MODE. I had the two firmwares when I did all this.
Hope this helps...
Press thanks if I helped you...

Note that if ur usb port malfunctions then odin will not proceed further. I recently noticed this major issue. Other errors like "checking plact platform verification" appear due to usb error. Try another pc or laptop(recommended).
1st & 4most, it's necessary that u tick "USB debugging" under "Android Settings->Application Development" b4 going to download mode.
Also, disable any antivirus, firewall...uninstall kies...& at last install/re-install ur Samsung Mobile Drivers. Use Odin 4.38.
The screen u mentioned appears when u exit download mode & try to switch it on either normally or in recovery. Don't worry...!!
1. Take out & re-insert battery.
2. Press "Volume Down & Home & Power button" & you'll again enter downloading mode.
If u want...I can provide u the firmware files that I always use
Hope this helps...!!!

Me too. Except on a GT-S5830i. Any help anyone? I have a .pit file etc but not sure what it is. Can't see the device in fastboot either

[q] is there any hope left for my tab?

problem began after i factory reset the tab, my tab keeps rebooting everytime either when i connecting to a wifi network/turning off the wifi/going to settings. then it freezes, and shows the samsung logo indefinitely.
when i force reboot it no longer goes into the system but only to samsung logo. i had to factory reset everytime to get into welcome screen.
the tab also have a usb connection issue as it wont get detected by the pc
odin pro is available but kinda useless since it still have to download specific files the tab for it to work
my tab is currently running on 4.1.2 P6800DXMD3 with skyhigh 3.9.1 kernel.no custom recovery
hope my english is good enough
anybody here can help me?
1. Try wipe cache in recovery and flash stock kernel.
2. Try flash full official firmware package with Odin PC. You may need to factory reset again in recovery before first boot.
Best of luck

You didn't say (and haven't said) it wouldn't connect in Download Mode. I didn't assume.....
- Make sure you have both the latest Samsung USB and ADB drivers installed. Uninstall old ones, reboot, install new and reboot.
- Have you checked your USB cable is ok?
If you can't enter download mode, you could be hurting.
- If all you can do is enter stock recovery, and if you had USB debugging enabled, maybe it's possible to push to system and preload etc. with ADB.

bought a new one just for the sake of this

my tab can enter download mode but odin wont detect it.

im gonna assume usb debugging is disabled since i factory reset the tab. so the setting must have been reset as well? but then i cant to to settings then the tab would freeze.

Not sure is this will help but can you put the source files on an SD card and then use mobile odin pro to flash files then maybe you can get the tab to work. Best of luck.:fingers-crossed:

thanks for suggestion but i already resolve the prob :victory:
mobile odin still havent download the specific files for the tab so most of its features doesnt work. it doesnt even read files for sd card (not sure why)
but luckily i was able to flash custom recovery (twrp recovery) through it. so i had to push the files in via bluetooth from my phone.
well once in recovery just do all the usual stuff to flash the rom. using pac man right now. really wanted to use stock but i scared the bug would come again.
mobile odin literally saved my tab

Yes, i have tried both USB Jig and One Click tool...none of them worked...Jig did nothing and One click tool ends up with message failed!!!
However, it could be possible that my jig is faulty one, or the device has been bricked in such a way that neither it cant be dived into download mode even by this jig nor it can be repaired through One click.....whatever, i had given my device to expert and he has given my device back in working condition with only fault that i cannot use SIM card at all!!! Whenever i try to insert SIM, pop up appears saying unavailable sim, need to restart or something like that...Actually, I had noticed that the firmware used for my device was not from my country India and the one that was used was may be of china or one from gulf country in which there were no play store or google play service. Hence i had side loaded both apk but they could not be open even after that....So, i had restored cwm back up and i have got my stock rom back with working play store and all gapps but the sim problem starts thereafter as i mentioned above.....However, im going to flash the Indian stock rom again via odin....Do you have any suggestion for me?
Btw, expert has repaired my device using JTAG.

Ok, it seems that whenever i use stock rom, sim issue appears but if i use rom that the expert had loaded after repairing my device, it works fine with no issue. However, i dont know why i cant use play store and google play services ( ok, there is no gmail, google search or any other gapps)... if possible i would post here what rom the expert had loaded in my device...
But, i think the issue is related to software problem and more specifically, to CSC file somehow....what say?

Hi,
Recently, I did a Hard Reset on my GT-7562. [POWER +(VOL + VOL-) + HOME].
I wiped the cache partition and then wiped the user data.
After the reset the phone booted up and I did the initial setup [ Language, Wi-Fi & time].
Then, a "BLACK" screen showed up displaying only the time, battery status ,(network strength shows even though I didn't insert a sim) & nothing else. No apps, no home screen, nothing but a black screen.
What happened?? Did I follow a wrong method? What do I do now??
All I tried to do was get my phone back to the day I bought It.

Thanks for the help!
There is nothing to worry.
It is easy to solve this.
Just download Odin in your pc.
Download the official firmware if your device here.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-P5100/
Now open Odin In pc
Connect your device to the pc .
Now in the app under PDA browse for the firmware you have downloaded and click start.
Wait till it says pass.
That's it you have successfully solved your problem.
Now it will take some time to boot.
In case you feel that you are in a bootloop just go to recovery and perform a factory reset .

Greetings;
I don't know if you already entered Download Mode...
Most problems accessing Recovery and Download Modes are due to having the USB Cable connected.
Remove the cable; press the key combination; and it will boot.
(Except if there's some incompatible ROM flashed by mistake).
After that plug the USB Cable again (if your USB Drivers have also installed for Download Mode) Odin will recognize it (like shown in your Screen Shot).
REMEMBER:
While Flashing do NOT Remove USB Cable, untill Odin Displays "Pass" message.

Problem Flashing my phone

Since i can't post in the roms, kernals, etc I'll do it here. I hope the mods don't delete my post lol.
So my Galaxy S8+ (6955U) is rooted but I am trying to flash stock firmware onto it using Odin. Every time I am stuck on "File Analysis".
Here's everything I have tried:
1) Change USB port
2) Administrator mode and XP SP3 compatibility (i'm on w10 x64)
3) Re-partition checked/unchecked
4) Rebooted phone
5) rebooted computer
I've also tried using "adb reboot download" using adb to put it into download mode manually. when this happens, it goes from file analysis to "SetupConnection" but then it fails.
Please help me, I have been at this for about 4 hours and can't find anything online.
what odin are you using.
I got it thanks I don't know how to delete the thread lol
