I just updated to XDA App Ver. 1.3.1, but whenever I start it... it force closes with the following message: "The Application XDA (process com.quoord.tapatalkxda.activity) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
This on a Captivate running JH7and RyanZA Lagfix 2.0 APK ver. 2.1.2. Anyone else having issues with this new release on the Captivate? I have tried rebooting and reinstalling, but I end up with the same result.

Have you tried clearing the cache?
I'm seeing the same thing with a stock non-root install.
No FC on my stock JH7 yet.
Yeah I read that the only remedy is to uninstall(make sure your titanium backup is erased too) and reinstall. Its a bug that they are going to fix on the next update of the app

At about the time you posted this message, I updated mine and also got the FC during startup. The XDA app wouldn't even start. So, I didn't uninstall it because I want to be reminded by the Market app that there's (going to be) an update. 10 minutes later, sure enough. There was yet another update. It works now. The version number is still 1.3.1.
BTW. Here's proof.

Thanks... got the 2nd upgrade and as you said it's still 1.3.1, I guess this is 1.3.1 NoFC... Anyway, I like the new look. Thanks again, everyone.

What happens if i clear data for superuser? It keeps force closing. I'm running coredroid 8 n some of my apps keeps fore closing. I tried to do fix permissions in ROM manager, but keep getting a error message saying, an error occured while attempting to run privileged commands! So should I just clear data for superuser or will that mess something up? I can't even update my ROM manager to the updated version cause it keeps force closing when I try to do an update. I think superuser have something to do with that, because before coredroid 8 I haven't had a problem with flashing roms. I did a dalvik cache and a data wipe and cache before putting this ROM on my phone, because the ROM wouldn't work without doing so. Any advice... Thanks!

I have had my Captivate for a while but just recently, a lot of my apps have been force closing and I get the error stating that the process has been stopped unexpectedly. I'm on a stock GB 2.3.5 and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting the data and cache, but it doesn't help. Can anyone help me on this?

Reflash to stock KK4 (The latest and last stock that is released by Samsung, which I'm using now, and having no issues at all), then if still persist, try to flash a custom ROM like Legend 5 to test if the issue is still there.
Refer to this page to DL One click KK4 stock.

Sorry, I've never flashed anything before so it's all new to me. Which links should I click on if I were to do this?

You can try to flash this: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1541942
The force close issue is usually linked to a full /datadata partition, and this script fixes that.
I've only tried this on CM7/9 though, so proceed with caution.

I had downloaded few wallpaper via chrome and i am now stuck with the above problem. The notification is not going away at all and I have around 20 notifications.
I already tried clearing chrome cache, data and also used a third party software to clear all cache.
I am currently on CM10.1 nightly. I have googled the problem and queries posted on phandroid forum were not helpfully :'(

I don't think I ever tried recording video before but I tried today. It will go to the recording part of the camera app but nothing happens when I press the red button. Searching yielded nothing.
