Superuser keeps fore closing - HTC Inspire 4G

What happens if i clear data for superuser? It keeps force closing. I'm running coredroid 8 n some of my apps keeps fore closing. I tried to do fix permissions in ROM manager, but keep getting a error message saying, an error occured while attempting to run privileged commands! So should I just clear data for superuser or will that mess something up? I can't even update my ROM manager to the updated version cause it keeps force closing when I try to do an update. I think superuser have something to do with that, because before coredroid 8 I haven't had a problem with flashing roms. I did a dalvik cache and a data wipe and cache before putting this ROM on my phone, because the ROM wouldn't work without doing so. Any advice... Thanks!

[Q] Swype Broken

Noob here, need help. I'm new to the whole rooting thing. I installed the infused 1.5 ROM on my Infuse but now my swype doesn't work. It gives me some error saying my device isn't compatible. I get the blue box around the keyboard. I've tried switching to the android keyboard and switching back but no dice. Any idea what's wrong or how I can fix this?
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Anyway to undo change Titanium Backup made through recovery?

My gf was freezing apps on her inspire that she thought she didnt need and now the phone will only boot to the lock screen. When I try to unlock it it force closes with error process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Basically the phone is useless now. Is there anyway I can disable TB and the changes it has made through recovery?

If not just reflash the rom or a new rom. Your phone is still far from useless.

I was going to do this as a last resort. She doesnt want to lose everything. I guess I could reflash with only wiping caches though.

Frustrating -APPS NOT INSTALLING

Hi,
Apps are neither downloading nor installing from market.... The bar keeps going forever.... Same problem with amazon app store. Here, they are downloading but not getting installed..... But if I restart the phone twice and try again, 3-4 apps will get installed. Again same story repeats... Does anyone have the same problem?

I had this problem on stock.
To fix it, I went to settings > Apps then I uninstalled the market update (if any) and cleared the cache.
Reboot and try again. Its very frustrating lol.

If that doesn't work, going to Setting -> Applications -> Application Manager and clear data for all the Google programs (don't forget about Talk) and then rebooting the phone fixed it for me. Good luck.
I will try.... Thanks guys

I ran in to this problem. You need to go through the Ultimate Unbrick and then boot into recovery by holding down both volume buttons, then pressing the power button. Then wipe all user data and then do the cache. After that you should be ok.

There are several apps that clear them all together. I use Quick App Manager. It worked without root on my Inspire. Or if you're rooted, there are several others that will probably work or you could also boot into recovery and wipe cache from there.

Wrong section. Please don't post this here. There are subcategories for a reason. Thanks.
Wrong section..... BUT, try clearing cache, reboot.

First, to parrot what others have said, its in the wrong section.
I have experienced this problem on certain ROMS too. To fix it, delete /cache/download*.apk . As in delete all apk files with 'download#'. It should alow you to install more apps from the market.

+1, I agree. MODS, close the thread, or move it.
Thread moved to Sensation Q&A.
I've tried full wipe and reinstalling the ROM but still nothing

You have to go to settings-applications-manage applications-all....go to the market and clear all data and cache from there. Then go back and log into the market and try to download.
If none of the above helps try uninstalling the updates from market place. It should work then. I did this. Nothing else worked for me than this.

lol, i like how the op went and reflashed the rom when all he was told was to clear cache

[HELP] Apps force closing?!

I have had my Captivate for a while but just recently, a lot of my apps have been force closing and I get the error stating that the process has been stopped unexpectedly. I'm on a stock GB 2.3.5 and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting the data and cache, but it doesn't help. Can anyone help me on this?

Reflash to stock KK4 (The latest and last stock that is released by Samsung, which I'm using now, and having no issues at all), then if still persist, try to flash a custom ROM like Legend 5 to test if the issue is still there.
Refer to this page to DL One click KK4 stock.

Sorry, I've never flashed anything before so it's all new to me. Which links should I click on if I were to do this?

You can try to flash this: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1541942
The force close issue is usually linked to a full /datadata partition, and this script fixes that.
I've only tried this on CM7/9 though, so proceed with caution.
