[Q] [MOD][9/19] - Extended Power Menu - JB 4.1.1 Only! 10.4.2.13 - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys
I'm new at this hope you can help. I have the Asus TF300T and it is unlooked, rooted, and TWRP 2.2 recovery. (I have done a lot of reading the last few months) I am running the latest version of Jellybean from ASus which you guys call stock i believe. I would now like to have his extended power menu. But I don"t know how to do it. I also don't know if i need odex or deodex. And does that still enable me to keep the Asus version of Jellybean on my tablet or due I need mod version.
Hope someone can help
Thanks in advance
Linda

You actually got the right area, and here are your answers...
First, how to do it - remember how you flashed in root? Do the same thing with this zip.
Do you need odex or deodex? By default the stock ROM is odex, so that's what you want.
Finally, you keep the same ROM you're using. This is just a tiny mod to it.
I'm running this myself and love it.

[Q]How to restock Asus tf101

I rooted my tf101 9.2.1.17-20120312 with viperMod. Then installed recovery installer and can now access recovery. I want to try some custom roms but I want to know how i can restore my tab in case i don't like the rom or something goes wrong during flash.
I downloaded US_epaduser9.2.1.17UpdateLauncher.zip from asus site since my tab seems to be running Us version of rom. My question is is this zip recovery flashable? Or is there some other way I can restock?
I should mention i got my tab in mint condition but without original case so i don't know what serial number it has. I've attacked a photo with what it says on the box.
Any help would be apreciated. I don't want to end up with a shiny new brick.
According to the box, your serial is BC0, which means its an SBK2 device. So you cant use NVFlash.
Its not much of a big deal as long as you dont **** up the recovery and the android OS at the same time.
As far as restoring... Just take a backup of your current rom in CWM before flashing anything new.
And I suggest you skip ASUS's builds. Just grab a custom rom instead, they are 100 times better in all areas.
Thanks for the quick reply. I saw there are plenty of custom roms for the tf101. Which one is the more stable? I used aokp for a galaxy tab 7 i owned until recently but it wasn't quite suited for daily use.
Hi Saav,
I can also recommend this to read:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22465766
I like the revolver rom of gnufabio 4.0.0. It is still in beta but works really wel for me.
And Goatshocker is correct, the serial number is for SBK2, so nvflash is not an option for you.

They hold a generally equal stability. What matters is the kernel youre using. guevenors kernel is aparantly very stable. I dont know myself, Im running the kernel included in EOS build 19 still, which is stable for me.
I suggest you try out the roms for yourself and pick the one you like best

Yes if you want to go back to stock, just flash the official firmware from Asus in recovery.

[Q] multiple apps on screen for tf300

Hi there
Is any dev working on this?
The sg note2 is able to do this, so i say rewrite that rom and make it compatible for tf300 :silly:
Or use original rom and fix the framework thingy lol
I know there is an cornerstone version of cyanogenmod 9 that is able to do this, only it doesn't work for me because i'm on jb allready.
Would be great if the tf300t is able to do this.
Thanks

[Q] Need Rom that can Overclock.

Okay guys hear me out, sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forums, I'm currently rooted on the stock build I believe, my specs are as follows: Build Number: JROO3C.WW_epad-10.4.2.13-20120907. Android Version: 4.1.1. I rooted to remove bloatware, and whatnot, but now I want to overclock, and it can't be done with the kernal I have I guess, Stock rom doesn't support it, So I'm on a quest to find a working rom for my build that has been tested and working properly, I have the TWRP recovery I think it's called. And if you haven't guessed my device is Asus TF300T. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll be around waiting for a response, so if you need any other question answered or need more info I'll be around, Thanks for all the help.

SO your TF300T is unlocked ?
Apparently, you have the TWRP recovery.
And you want a rom that can overclock ?
So you have several roms, but the best you can do, it's to click to my sig > index for the TF300t, and you will find all roms based on stock and others based on Cyanogen.
The best thing that you can do is to read a little, choose 2 or 3 roms that you find interesting, and try one after one (one week per rom) and you will choose the best rom for you. It will be your choice.

Yes it's unlocked, and thanks, going to try the Hydro rom I suppose. Are the Cyanogen roms compatible with what I'm running? TWRP and Stock JB?

Hydro ROM does not have CPU OC, I think jb blue and [email protected] has overclock. Latest CM 10 is compatible with jellybean boot loader and latest TWRP.

[Q] Help - Stuck in TWRP 2.5

Hi, I'm pretty new to android flashing etc but a while ago I installed CromiX with TWRP 2.5 recovery.
I'm now looking to upgrade to Lollipop as I've seen some people manage it. To do this though I've found I'll have to upgrade TWRP to the latest version. Can anyone give me any guidance on this because I'm seriously struggling and everyone's using apps that aren't available any more.
How do I go about upgrading TWRP on my TF300T (for noobs)?
I'd happily skype someone if they were kind enough to help me through it quicker.
Thanks a lot guys.
