Hello all. I am sorry for posting this problem like this, but as i am new member, and i don't have 10 post, i am not able to ask for my problem where i should. I hope someone can help me.
I have Samsung galaxy mini with gingerbread. I tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398797
and after that my phone doesn;t recognise its /data in phone anymore, so it treats my phone as a new phone completely, as if /data is wiped. No contacts no instaled apps, nothing on the phone.
When i pull out the sd card, and plug the old one everything goes back to normal.
My question is, how do i make my phone understand the new situation and use the new sd card with two partitions and also see internal phone memory and old /data directory, so i can use my phone.
Thank in advance.

So I never flashed my phone or anything of that sort. I have Android 2.3.4 on my phone, and for some reason when I plug it into my USB, only my SD card from my old blackberry shows up. Not my phones original, internal, memory. It has my music on it and for some reason my pictures from the internal memory was deleted also.
Can someone please help me please. I searched and couldn't find a thread on this already.
Thank you.
Under the root directory, go to emmc and that should be your other memory card.
Hi guys,
I tried to find solution but couldn't find. the solutions were for different phone and etc. so not sure if that would apply to my case this is why want to make sure will get right fix for the issue
Phone was working fine for a couple months but couple days ago I noticed that I can't take pictures because it can't mount sd card
Well I'm thinking I will restore from backup but guess what I can't because clockwork can't see the sd card so I'm kinda stuck here. I think this is a phone's internal memory card not the micro sd card. Am I right?
Thanks for help in advance and if there is a thread with same issue and device please send me a link as I couldn't find it.

Oh well today I had some free time so I sat down and tried to look for fix, turns out it is was external micro sd issue which failed.
Phone was setup to use external card. So after I told phone go and use internal memory rebooted and all good, inserted smaller micro sd card, just to have some additional memory and all is good. So here you go if you will have something similar going with your phone maybe that will help you.
how did you tell the phone to use internal memory? i'm running across this same problem where my external sd card is not being mounted or read
Hi, Still very new to all this. Was wanting to use link2sd app. Upon loading up the app and finding out more. It states "second partition not found, no sd card present"? So i'm reading all these threads on how to partition. Concern is, this guide for dummies writes that they want me to unmount sd and put in computer via usb or sd card reader? I don't have a sd card reader on laptop. Am i not able to leave it mounted in my phone while partitioning? This sd is internal and i don't see anything else under my sim card. Looks empty as if nothing is there. Is that where the external would go? Under sim card? Anyways, aside from that. I can't use CWM. Has no option for format sd card in 6.0.4.7. So was told to use Minitool partition wizard. Is this free? Says freeware. I'm guessing yes, though someone said it asked for license after partition. Shrugs.
My biggest concern is that even if i figure this out and get a second partition going..... What is going to be lost after format? My guess is everything right? So when i do a factory reset, will i still be flashed with beanstalk rom...Or wiill i have to start from stock again and update back to beanstalk? Sorry to sound stupid. Only been playing around with this phone a couple days. First smartphone and still very new to flashing, etc.
come on....60 views and not one helpful answer? surely someone has knowledge on this discussion. Please help! Does this phone ship with a sd card internally or no? I swore i used app2sd on earlier build before i return phone for a replacement. Why does it not work no longer? is there a specific build/rom that would allow me doing this? new to smartphones. be nice to the newb. thx.
Hi guys,
Big problem here.. My sister had a problem with her phone, and
she ask me to put custom rom on it. The phone is Samasung Galaxy S3 mini.
So I told her to move here pictures to external hard disk, and she did.
I preinstalled the phone and formated the SD card to be clean.
Few days after this she called me with panic in her voice and said
that some folders that she moved from the SD card to the external drive
are empty. And When she copied the pictures she got no error message.
Just did not checked them for sure, and now very important pics are gone.
Is there any way to recover this pictures guys?
Any ideas will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Recuva is Best Sotware. I have also recovered images by Recuva.
Stellar Data Recovery
Stellar Data Recovery is the best software when i need recovery operation.

Don't use the phone! Just plug out the external SD out and put it into a computer. Next download Recuva and use it's deep scan feature to scan for deleted files. This may take a while (up to 5 hours) but it's the best possible solution.
Note that not all files can be restored.
The update process hung for ages, so I restarted the device. This seems to have resulted in a corrupted sd card - which was being used as adoptable storage.
The tablet now no longer recognises that there's even an sd plugged in. If I connect it to my computer it seems like the partition table is still all there, but something fundamental has broken making it impossible to use the sd.
A brief Google seemed to suggest that, if it was even possible to recover the card, it would require reformatting. I'll do that if I have to, but I was hoping there was another option...

Most probably the update was taking long because ur sdcard isnt fast. I own a shield k1 with a 32gb extreme pro sandisk sdcard as adoptable storage full of games, the whole update took like 10min including the optimising apps part. And rebooting it midway of course corrupted its data that is encrypted specifically to your device, that's why it PC cant view its data (even the parts not corrupted). So ur best choice would be to format it.
Unfortunately, I think it must be properly dead. I tried to format it - in fact I didn't even get that far. When I went to delete the partitions in order to create and format a new one, cfdisk said the write had all worked, but, in fact, the old partitions remained intact. I tried some other software to re-partition it, but the result was the same.
no problem
use this app on windows ¨HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool v2.1.8 Español (Portable)¨
sure recover it
open with administrator
ever when i use win32diskimager , i need tu use only this program to recover all gigabites of my sd and usb memorys
