What do you mean by 'make it as a bluetooh headset'?

You mean spoof another BT device into thinking your sensation is a Bluetooth headset?! What reason would you have for doing that?!

I wanna buy a samsung Galaxy Tab, and it's embarrassed to make a phone call with the big one in size of 7 inch. (I only have one SIM card placed in Tab) So... is it possible that I make a phone call with sensation via bluetooth ?
Thanks again!

You can't make calls on a tablet anyway. Leave the simcard in your sensation!

Why?
Is it limited by sensation hardware or firmware? Or something else?

No, your tablet can't make calls, so you're never going to get any calls or txts if your sim is in it.

Yeah, the tablet's only use of the SIM would be for mobile data.
You are better of doing it the other way. Leave the SIM in the Sensation and use wifi tethering to connect the Tablet to the phone for mobile data.

I am sure that samsung Galaxy Tab can make calls , see the spec. http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_p1000_galaxy_tab-3370.php
The tablet with support for GSM voice communication, SMS, and MMS.
so.... is there any way to make calls by using sensation via bluetooth instead of bluetooth headset like BR950S ?

I know the way you said, but it will get heavy drain to battery with wifi tethering.

Yes you can make phone calls via GT P7500 (Samsung 10.1) but you hv to download an apk with tweaked firmware. I use it via Bluetooth ear piece. I am not sure if you can use sensation as Bluetooth headset though while using the tab as phone. For me, i get another sim card with the same no and put it in the tab. But i hv given away the Bluetooth ear piece hence unable to test.

Okay fine. But if you don't want to use the giant tablet to make calls, then my sollution is still your best bet. Use the phone as a phone and wifi tether the tablet to the phone's mobile data.
You get exactly what you want and everything works easily, and you don't have to create unique sollutions to get the tablet to push calls to the Sensation.

or use a voip solution on the sensation and call it a day

The 3110 model is the one that has a GSM chip?

I have p3110 and it is only WiFi so, p3100 should have 3G.
if you want to make a phone call
buy the p3100 version.
it come with 3G like galaxy tab 7+
Groove ip and a Google voice account SHOULD achieve this.
I was able to make calls with my Nook and Transformer with this two.
Neither one have 3G capability.
Wifi connection needed.

I've looked all over and not found a 3G version for sale. I thought I had on eBay, ordered it, and got a second GT-P3113.
Can someone PM me where to find the 3G version?

Conference call, merging of calls, etc

I don't know if this is an ICS bug or a Samsung bug or a Verizon limitation? When making a phone call it is very easy to add another phone call and merge both calls into a conference call. But if one of the calls drops off, there is no way to add them again. There is also no way to hang up with only one of the people on the conference call, you have to end the whole thing.
This probably is on a stock Galaxy S3 on Verizon with the default dialer. I tried a different dialer but that function seems to be outside the dialer.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I think this is a limitation of CDMA. GSM allows up to 6 simultaneous calls in a conference, and can individually disconnect calls too. Though I think at least T-mobile (maybe AT&T too) changed it to only allow a max of 2 calls. Eventually we'll have calling over LTE and that would I imagine provide better conference call services than GSM or CDMA.

Ohh wow wasn't expecting that. Wife is not going to be happy.
Root your phone and flash cm9 or 10. The dialer on this rom allows merging and adding afterwards if one drops

Even on Verizon? I read somewhere that even the iPhone doesn't allow that functionality on Verizon because of how their network works.
I have sprint and it works.

Phone calls on the none 3g model?

Anyone knows if it will be possible to make or take calls on the none 3g version when tethered to a phone?
I think the first generation gear s was able to do that but I can't find any information on the gear s2.
All the reviews mention that the 3g version is able to make calls when NOT tethered to a phone, no mention about the none 3g version when it is tethered to a phone.

You can make the call but the watch doesn't have a speaker so you won't be able to actually talk on it. You'll have to either pick up your phone or use a Bluetooth headset.

Is this verified or an assumption ? Do you currently own the watch?
The standard bluetooth models, regular and Classic, cannot make phone calls. There is no speaker on them. If you want to make calls from the watch you need to pick up the 3g model that comes out next month. That one has a speaker.
This is based on spec sheets. This is based on tutorial videos. And this is based on personal ownership and experience with an S2 Classic.

It's been verified by multiple sources. That's why I think I'm gonna skip this watch. Classic doesn't come in 3g and I'm not a fan of the way the sport version looks.

Yes, sounds like android wear is doing it today.
I wish they would do it like Apple is doing it with their watch. You can take and make calls regardless of the watch having 3g connectivity.

If I see someone making a call on their watch and obviously the call will be on speaker you'll get a slap on the hand. If you're going to have a conversation don't be that guy and have it on speaker.
I rarely talk on the phone in public and when I do, it's NEVER on speaker. That's just obnoxious. I think it would be good for when I'm at the house and my phone is in another room and I can't get to it in time. I could answer on the speaker until grabbing my phone.

the Gear S2 cannot make or receive calls. if you get a call you will get a notification and if you slide to answer it tells you the call is on your phone. when you try to make a call it says that its dialing on your phone.
this is the deal breaker for me, Im returning it this Friday. the Gear 2 is much more functional while the Gear S2 just looks better.

It doesn't matter on the phone as the sport/classic doesn't have a speaker, only microphone so it won't be able to handle an actual call. It can initiate one and you can have the actual conversation on your handset
agreed, this is a huge deal breaker for me... just picked up a refurb gear s for $150. Now I wait for speakerphone support through android wear!

The LG Urbane 2 does this with android wear. However, it has its own Sim. Not sure if that it what you are looking for.

I think speaker support will be coming to Android Wear sooner than later. Thought I read that a tear down of the Huawei watch showed an unexplained speaker present in the watch.

Don't want/care about sim card support, not until carriers allow sim card cloning so your watch and phone have the same phone number. At this point, I want BT, WiFi, and voice calling.

You can make and receive calls with the T-Mobile S2. Not that I plan on doing that but nice feature to have. It also has 4G.

Still no speaker on non-LTE version?

I was really bummed my S2 didn't have a speaker and couldn't talk on phone calls via the watch. Still the same with the S3?

The several sites I've seen don't mention a speaker, but I finally found this on Samsung's website. "*Bluetooth model requires Wi-Fi connection and a voice call app for phone-free calls."

That's for call capability true. But I think the OP was asking about a speaker?
The S3 has a speaker on both models. This is the main reason I will be upgrading my S2.

Both models will have a speaker, but everything I've read online says only the Frontier will have 3G/LTE capability. Thus able to act as a standalone phone.
Correct
"Bluetooth model requires Wi-Fi connection and a voice call app for phone-free calls"
Why does it need Wi-Fi to make a call? Can't it just use the phone line and relay voice over Bluetooth like the previous models?
"phone-free"...

The speaker sounds Ok coming out of three tiny holes. Listening using the music player on my Bose soundlink over the ears phones not quite up there with my Macbook Pro still on the move respectable.

It only needs wifi for "phone-free" calls - ie only when you're not connected to your phone via bluetooth.

Yes, everything will be working fine. Other than using the watch as a standalone device. So it will relay on your phone. As long as your watch is connecting through Bluetooth. Then you can use the watch to send text and making calls. Etc
