transparen(not clear) top bar?

I'm looking for a black transparent top bar. maybe almost glass-like?
anyone know where or how?

Transparent or Translucent? I don't think I understand, are you looking for something like this

Clear is clear, translucent is see through. So I guess I'm looking for see through black like smoked glass. Like the htc clock/weather widget.

havnt seen this around but im adding such thing to my theme im working on. i will package it seperately when i do so. try back tom.

I Just Got It Working How It Should On My Theme. Just Running A Few Color Changes As Far As Transparency Goes To Match HTC's Transparency Levels But Still Looks Black. Will Be Up Soon. What Theme Or Rom Are You Using?

Ok Its All Done. On My Theme So I Can Package It Up Later For Just The Taskbar. Its A Little Darker Than HTC's Level But It Had To Be Or Else You Would Need New Icons. =/ But You Can Hardly Tell Its Darker. Looks Well.

Semi-transparent status bar?

What's up all. Looking for someone to help out on this.
I've been trying to find a way to make the status bar semi-transparent. (not notification bar) Is there a way to flash a zip file and have the status bar transparent or half way so the wallpaper is showing. This will make the screen look bigger and the over look on sense themes will be sweet.
I'm using the mannup revolution theme that comes with redemption rom.
Any ideas? Thanks!

It would be awesome if someone could make a standalone zip (the one in the post includes the round battery indicator) with just the transparency
Lots of transparency mods don't include transparency on the item backgrounds, and that one does. Pretty awesome

Thanks for the help guys!!! This will get me started. I tried flashing the the transparent bar over Redemption rom with the incredible revolution theme and the bar was only transparent when the phone was in lock. After I unlock the phone it went back to the black status bar. Might have been because I removed rosie to only use launchepro. I'll mess around with this and post if I get anywhere.
I'm surprised there are not more themes with an option for the semi-transparent status bar. Even the semi status bar when phone is locked looked awsome.
If any one has any other ideas, please post them. Thanks!!!

It only fully works when using the sense launcher.
I would use it, but it removes any rosie mods (such as the manup sexy rosie skin) when applied so i haven't been able to use it lately.

Yeah same here. I wish it was as simple as flashing a zip to change the script in a current theme framework.

Privet,its in services.jar file its simple to mod but i dint know what line it is that makes it transparent.The mod you have becomes clear with lwp's also.

I've been messing with this for a while, I've got mine transparent, but it turns out launcher pro doesn't support the transparencies. As soon as I install launcher pro it goes solid black.

really? i didnt think launcher pro had any affect on the notifications bar

Yeah I had the same issue. I'm using the redmptive rom now with the matted blues theme. I edited the theme to have the transparent bar and decided not to use launcher pro anymore.

Do it through ninja morph... worked for me. Only issue is that all of the notifications for battery and signal have black backgrounds that you'll have to fix as well.

I can't seem to find any black notification bar with all icons and text in white?
I currently have Enom's latest ROM

CM6 allows for themeing the color of the both.

so basically CM6 allows me to even change the battery from green to white and the vibrate icon to white also? I know I can change the color of the text but I didn't know I could change the color of the battery since it is an image

[Q] is there any app to change the backgroup of notification bar and status bar?

the colour of notification bar and status bar in stock rom is black, but i really like a white colour like miui, anyone also like it?
seems the way to change the colour is recompile the SystemUI.apk which may be difficult, i am looking for a app can customize, but no result.
appreciate if anyone can recommend.

You cant with compile/decompile. Because you need to change .smali values and they not support transparency. You can put gray 80% transparent, or blue. But its allways 80,90% transparent and it looks ugly when you have notification, it requires more changing so all is transparent.
EDIT: you can make statusbar transparent with little more effort, but its possible, there are some guides on forum.

Turn on Dark aokp and download a theme called blackedOut theme.. my icons and text are white.. i love it !
