[Q] [REQUEST] Port the samsung galaxy s duos launcher? - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

A new phone has been launched since about a week ago. It's the new samsung galaxy s duos with a 1 ghz a5 single core processor. What im interested in is its launcher. It's the new touch wiz nature ux..... and it runs smoothly on the device.. probably because it's been tweaked for single core processors! So is anyone interested in porting the launcher?

Remics rom is very smooth dude
It's having the same launcher

i have used the remics rom for about an hour or so( i won't lie) and even though i loved how my phone looked....it just wasn't smooth enough for my standards....i'd rather keep cm9 or 10 on my phone.... why im so intrigued by this launcher is that its running on a 1 ghz processor phone as a stock laucher... which means it must be very stable and optimized for single core processors!

[REQUEST]Jellybean 4.2 AOSP build

I'll send a request for a AOSP based Jellybean 4.2 rom for galaxy 3
To whom?

Not even quad core devices have 4.2 yet..
And you want a Single Core phone that cant really handle 4.0/4.1 to have 4.2?
>.<
Also, you have a Galaxy Y by looking at your posts..
Why do you need 4.2 on a Galaxy 3. If you havent noticed they are pretty different devices..

And i request for official cm10 stable build, official cwm recovery and a port of quad core processor to our phone. Can you please do it. Look, thinks don't work here by merely requesting. If somebody had enough time for it, and had it been possible, it would already have been there.

The developers in the I9000 are working on it
As for the Galaxy 3 getting 4.2; having owned this phone once upon a time and spending time browsing these forums... If it can't handle 4.0/4.1 perfectly its not a good idea to ask for 4.2...

I'm not so sure about that. Correct me if I'm wrong but JB is easier to port, and more stable than ICS on most phones. I don't know if JB is easier to port than GB, though.
Either way, most people seem to have moved on. Support will diminish rapidly, if it already hasn't. It's sad.

may we fight for any future android os but fact is that till kernel 3.4x and open source driver for fimg 3dSE project doesn't get completed our phone will be incomplete as this two are vvvvvvvvvvv.imp projects for Samsung galaxy 3 i5800/i5800 .
Our Phone was incomplete the moment we were told that we wouldnt get official Gingerbread..
lets face it, if marcellusbe stops developing, this phone is screwed.....
There are some other Rubens , Sad , hillbeast, kyrillos13, Michał12 , tom3q and team ...... but i think The Samsung G3 Apollo i5800 Forum ..... Is becoming like Nintendo ....
Please Devs Give Us ... the 4.2 AOSP or Aokp and we will not bordering you any more ....
I agree there are others, and their work is valuable, Hillbeast just said he may make another Froyo rom, kyrillos13 just updated his, but things are a lot different from how it was a year ago, people move on and new phones are released, the g3 is a good little phone, jb worked so much better than I thought, but its at the end of its development life.
I have apps that will only run on gb, and other apps that will not run well because of the lack of memory, while my wife had a galaxy mini, and it runs gb without a problem, official upgrade

Jellybean 4.2 doesn't even work on the Galaxy S2 because Google have locked down the way the system controls graphics to stop Samsung releasing terrible old broken drivers and libraries. If the Exynos 4 isn't going to play nice, I wouldn't be expecting the S5P6442 in our little G3 would either. Don't hold your hopes up.

Hahaha... Nintendo.. Nice one..
i think we are expecting too much from dev if you also want to run 4.2 please guy be practical enuf as only too android os that should be complete are gb and jellybean as this are only two project were dev are able to run most of thing running so keep your finger cross and wait and watch or help dev at least to finish pending project even if u get latest wat use of that if your not get complete experience of it
Mhmm. As the others said, its all or nothing. Its a bit... Impractical to ask devs for a 4.2 release purely because a phone can only be taken so far in terms of OS. No doubt 4.2, while being an incremental update to 4.1.2, changed quite a bit about Jelly Bean. And if Google really has locked down on graphics control in 4.2, then the G3 will have a hard time...
Maybe things will change and a 4.2 update will come through for the Galaxy 3. But until then... Don't get your hopes up too high.

I am running JellyBam 4.1.0 right now. But while I am typing this I am downloading JellyBam 5.1.0 based on JellyBean 4.2.1 I've also tried Omega ROM, RootBox ROM but none of them are close to JellyBam. I think JellyBam is the best ROM for Samsung Galaxy SII GT-i9100.
My wife has the s2 I'm trying to get her to let me root and ROM it I was looking at jellybam actually great ROM.

Isn't this kind of redundant in the General forum where there isn't any one device? Especially seeing as you're talking about specific ROMs rather than bases (i.e. not something like AOSP, MIUI, TouchWiz, Sense etc.). If I said I was using NexusHD2 JB would that really mean anything or make a difference to your choice?
miui v4 from MaxWorks Neo V.Very good ROM and smooth:good:

Your an idiot. I was trying to get a poll or collection of pros and coins about your rom . nothing said here is for me to decide the ROM I want. I chooses based of my own parameters not people decisions. Just thought I could get a page about everyone's ROMs and why they chose it. You don't have to be a douche about it.

JJ Hybrid ROM
I am running the superb JJ Hybrid ROM. Has superb battery life and is simple and beautiful as well. Rom size only 88 Mb. What more can anyone ask for ?http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
Dell Venue - Olleh ROM (2.3.3)
Karbonn A13 - Stock ROM (4.0.4)
Galaxy Nexus here.
I'm switching between Paranoid and Baked Black bean7, all with Anarkia kernals.
I must say battery life on Baked rom and Purity v12 kernal is insane! Very Good. Can't say the same on Paranoid even if they had the same settings.
I'm running Darthstalker v#8 as well what a super awesome rom super smooth and stable no glitches and good battery life I highly recommend it. I also have the Avatar rom and PacMan as backups that I switch up once in a while.

[Q] Should you buy gingerbread phone?

I have a very tight budget. The android phones with ginger bread are cheaper than ICS or jellybean. Even i cannot pay for enters level ICS phone.Should i buy ginger bread phone.I have heard developers will stop supporting apps on it.I am planning to use this phone for 2 years?
If your not wanting to spend much get a galaxys1 which comes with gingerbread it was a flagship phone back in its day and has a great community its also supported officially by CyanogenMod which means you can install 4.2.2

But still it's a pretty good solution in this situation.
I would also agree about the idea of buying something like a Galaxy S1 and installing CM10.1 .. its better then buying any GB device with no dev support and no updated android versions.
But still it's a pretty good solution in this situation.

Fastest rom (android 4+)

Hi guys!
One of my friends has this phone and he says me it is really slow. What do you thing are the fastest and slimmest rom? We don't want to overclock but maybe some rooms have some optimisations. That's what we hope.
Thanks a lot guys

interesting rom.... thnx for the suggestion but i am running stock android cm11 and it is really fast. was jus wondering if i cud get a stock s4/note 3 launcher to compensate the speed....
i tried the s4 revolution rom (similar to the neatrom) and it was gud but it lagged a little too much, and used u a lot of ram. so i decided to run pure android cm11.

Sorry for asking a philosophical questions, but what is it that you're looking for using touchwiz interface? Because I think that some launchers, such as Nova, can give you similar look and feel (using ican pack), with much customizable, faster UI.
Anyway, I don't think there is any stable S4/N3 available, because it relies a lot about stock Sammy's framework, which is excluded on AOSP roms
