Nice idea.
On my Galaxy Nexus I'm unable to play because the bottom line of digits is not visible.
Please fix that, I want to try it...

The nexus is a preset in the SDK so it should be easy to check.

Is it still worth €150? Or should i get the LG Optimus 2x? Both would be used. How's jelly bean running? Also, how many space for apps?
I would buy it. The price is not Bad. It is a i9020 or i9023? JB is on the Nexus S really smooth. Batterylife is ok. And they are many Roms too.

bought mine for about $200 in my country. now it replaces my cowon j3 as a music player (voodoo + poweramp w/ tweaked eq).
Space might be depended on the rom and partition configuration. Running SlimBean with 1GB available, you can always move the app to SDcard if you need more.
If you are willing to flash roms and customize it then it might be worth buying, but for a little more you can get a Galaxy Nexus. Also I don't feel the camera is good enough anymore, but I do find the GPS signal on this pretty better than other Galaxy S variants.
Converting to USD, 150 euro is a bit much for now, but maybe 140 or less.
Its the best phone I've owned.
I can do everything in one device now. I've sold my sat nav and now I can do away with my iPod after setting up Google Music. I was looking to get a S2 or maybe a Galaxy Nexus, but I listen to a lot of music at work and both those devices haven't got a decent sound chip, unlike the Nexus S . So I will be keeping the Nexus S for the foreseeable future.
I think if you want flash ROMs go for it.
But at stock its still good.

I would always buy Nexus. The Galaxy Nexus is too big so I still vote for the S. It's really smooth with Strawberry ROM from kzno. The only thing that's really bad is the GPS signal. No chance to use it for navigation.

Mine have good GPS signal. I can even get it indoor. Might want to try this to improve the signal: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=878970
I'm in Thailand and they sell on the market a S3 copy for about $250, that's impressing me. Screen looks nice, its responsive and got a good touchscreen. The problem is that the sellers don't know anything about the device and also don't have a paper or box with further details.
What can i do in order to find out more about an unknown device in general?
Who knows this S3 copy?
what about rooting such devices or custom roms?

Y get these clones and get stuck with no service, no dev support and all the other badies?
There might be a rooting method out there, but maybe maybe not - might be on a page in another a different language.
If it's popular wherever it came from, maybe someone there has developed for it, if it's even possible.
I really wouldn't count on anything.

Those things usually run on a Mediatek MT6573/6575/6577 CPU, with usually 256MB RAM. Very few show desirable performance. Any old good droid will beat them. For the same price you can grab better original phones, even cheaper if you buy used.

$250!? what a ripoff! Bet as soon as you roughly tap (not even drop) the phone it becomes ultra faulty or breaks. Save your money.. and S4 is coming anyways (or so they say).
I think you should not spend money to buy it.
I basically just want to make a list of my own workout plans, with weight and reps that's easily editable, I'm not bothered about logging days etc like most apps seem to. I just want my plans
I'd like something easy like this -
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.com.lithic.minhaseriefree
In fact I'd like the pro version - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.com.lithic.minhaserie
But unfortunately the pro version isn't in English
Anyone help?

You can join Fitocracy :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fitocracy.app
It's a 2 in 1.
It's a social networt like Facebook but only about Gym.
And the app let you plan, save and edit your workouts by adding exercices, reps, superset, etc.
JEFIT. It's an app and website. You can create workout plans, share them with others or use ones other people have created. I have my phone with me and log my reps and weight as I go along and it has a countdown between reps too. Workouts are searchable by goal (fat loss, bulking, cutting etc) and the exercises can be searched by muscle group and equipment so you can only look at ones you have the right gear to do.
I used to use it in the gym but now I have a bench at home and cycle to work for cardio I altered my routines to just free weights.
It syncs to the web etc for backup and cross device logging. I recommend setting the routines up on the web and just using the app for logging as the app can be a bit fiddly.
You should try Barbell Gym Tracker.
Bodyspace its the best app. and its free..
you need to register with bodybuilding.com and you can choose your goal. really good one.
Jefit user for years chiming in. Can't say that I've seen anything better.
just 6 weeks

+100 for JeFit! I haven't really found another workout app that can replace Jefit. There are two apps that are essential for fitness:
1) JeFit
2) MyfitnessPal
+1 for jefit

You can use myfitnesspal. I use it to track my daily intake of calories but you can add workouts and save them and so on.

Gymprovise
Gymprovise is the only Gym/Workout/Bodybuilding app you'll ever need.
ot: i never bring my phone on the floor, afraid of DBs cracking it! its too risky to use phone while working out, one heavy drop and say bye bye:crying:
just use the good old notepad binder! to keep stats/logs
After messaging the dev, the app in my original op has been updated to English!
I love it for a simple list of plans for my workout -

Cute. Too bad I don't have a Nexus smartphone.
Wow
Hey Great man, I'm looking forward to a galaxy S version
Sounds great. Im looking into getting a Galaxy s5. Hopefully soon
I won't have it soon in my G2
I will have to switch to the new Mahdi ROM
This gives me a good reason to buy a Nexus now.
Yep, got some 3rd party updates on some apps for the new 4.4.4, which I dont even have on my phone lol.
Thats fast. Though today i managed to flash 4.4.4 on an aging galaxy tab 2. Pretty impressive considering how old that phone is

Do you know if the 4.4.4 is an update that corrects all the bugs in 4.4.3? Also, is there a 4.4.4 rom for the S3?
I see the original Mi Mix 2 has a ton of development of custom roms etc. Will it be the same for the 2S? I know noone can say for sure but just would like your opinion on it.
It's a good and high end device with big fan base. I think you can be sure that there will be much development.

I had to make the same decision, currently owning a 1+1 but went for the 2s because it has project treble(1+6 will support treble too of course) which makes making custom Roms pretty easy. Also xiaomi already released the kernel source code , there won't be as much Roms as on the 1+6 but it's much cheaper and looks better
I think treble is the future! The will be so much treble development and with this for both devices.

I have a Oneplus 5 and while I love the device, I'll probably be moving to the Mi Mix 2S once the it's no longer marked up. The camera looks far better and the bezel-less display beautiful. I never use the front facing camera so I don't care about its placement.
