Known Bugs:
Long pressing on tabs to remove them will not work.
I had issues keeping the bounce overscroll and the tabs working together so i decided that it is an "OK" bug to have since most of us never use the long press on tabs anyways and might like the bounce overscroll better.
As far as i can tell any other bug is really minor... but ill add to the list as time goes on
If its grayed out... its not a bug...

Do you know if this rom has all the same video quirks as other "Z" based roms? For instance, on all Z roms I've tried (MikZ, WarmZ and one other) NHL GameCenter Live will not display video, just play audio.
Also, you didn't mention if HDMI was working, I assume not though.

i think with hdmiwin all work... but i cant test it... maybe u can test and let me know.
keep in mind... i did say "work in progress" so its not perfect yet... and cuz its based on dhd and desire z... it might never be perfect just cuz of the 4g thing.

This is running sense 2.1. The leak was sense 1.0 with a few enhancements.

anyways, to answer a few questions.
* i didnot check video for 720p playback... but i saw that virus missed a few things... so it might be good on this rom... i need to check, but than again... this is why its a "WIP"
* this is not themed besides the semi trans pulldown/app drawer and the fact that i added a few skins.
* MMS seems to still dont work... i changed all the apns all over the packages... and still no go... we'll see later on what can be done with it.
* this is not the evo GB leak... this is sense 2.1... with GB.
I am assuming if we use the latest netarchy kernel it will break the camera?

didnt try... but this is gb... i think it will be at least a month before we will see a good bug free custom kernel on GB roms.

Few Questions
I am trying to use the wifi hotspot. I cannot connect to my computer. I get an error " the settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements for the network". The usb tether works . I have tried the wifi tether app and it doesnt work either. These have worked with previous ROMs but not this one.
I am also looking for the png that sits in the middle of the rosie nav bar that says "phone". Any idea where to find this png at?
I have made some mods to this Rom already like the battery, spinners, rosie nav bars.
Another thing i am trying to change is the "EVDO" in the top bar. I can not find it in the resource folder. I believe it is in the System UI apk, but I am not sure.

Camcorder is working, native omx encoding is working.
I've been lucky and can somehow play my recorded videos but reports say that it shouldn't do that.
Issues: video is capped at 15fps so it is a little choppy, recorded video is rotated 90 degrees
Usb tether is working, not 100% native, using a motorola tethering apk that runs in the background, but for the regular user no difference then regular tethering. (same as cm uses btw)

Moved to cayniarbs stock(ish) kernel with my kgsl commits and ksm/zram backported from 3.0
EVtoolbox: new menu 'performance' control zram(aka compcache) and ksm, both disabled by default. ksm will reduce memory overhead by 10-15mb with minimal cpu usage (0-1%). ive read that ksm likes to have swap (10% zram should be enough) but*youll have to experiment and see. also added 'processor' menu (also from cm) to view/control cpu stats.
Apps2sd: support moving /data/data, (run 'a2sd install' again and choose y when asked about appdata) im still wary of how to handle wipes when appdata2sd is active. so ive added two functions to a2sd: 'nodatasd' which removes appdata2sd flag and optionally removes the appdata from sdcard and 'nosysdata' which removes only the system appdata (ie anything starting with com.android) from the sdcard
Browser: i revised hwcomposer. redering is faster < 1 to 2 secs max under heavy scrolling
Rebooting issues should be resovled
Added /system/etc/sysctl.conf to set various vm values. Feel free to modify to your liking

known issues:
reboots under heavy load, it seems this is an out of memory error: ics seems to be a huge memory hog now that opengl is enabled. can be partially remedied by using a large swap partiton (i set mine at 256mb and haven't had a reboot since) or you can try setting 0 swap and see what happens. ive also changed a couple dalvik-heap properties but im still investigating work arounds and/or a fix.

As mentioned, the last thread was messy. This is a development forum, the whole point of the thanks button is to stop unnecessary posts like this.
It is so frustrating to try and look at progress and have to read through pages of people posting pointless stuff like "It doesn't work on my phone", "I have this setup, will it work?", especially in the old thread. Please try and leave the thread clean so the actual developers can keep a track of where they're at.

The trouble with 99% of people on XDA is they never read the first post. So a first post saying "don't ask how to make it boot" almost always goes ignored. Sad, but this place is full of n00bs these days.
Getting "Random offset:0xd4" when installing cm7r2 Build.
Silightly modified the Nikez_Base_build by swapping two APK's posted on IRC. It no longer shows software buttons. It's easy to do it by yourself but I figured it would be easier to just upload it.

download everything and put in on your sd card
and you should know by now to have a backup
DIRECTIONS DONT SKIP
(unless you are tmobile and have an apn skip step 15)

1..Boot to clockwork
2. Factory data reset
3. under mounts format system
4. choose Cyanotouchwiz.zip
5. when done reboot system now
6 there will be 6 to 9 seconds of black (scripts)
then the boot animation.... the boot will be quick
(if it doesnt boot past samsung screen
pull battery and get back into clockwork
flash da_g kernel (provided below) and reboot
and continue down the list
7. wait for sd cards to read
then choose launcher of choice and set default (not permanent)
8.once the launcher has finished loading
open up theme chooser in the app drawer
and choose ics and apply..
Ignore what it says and apply
(ive supplied what was missing)
already installed so just say accept
9 now go back to your home screen and hit settings
and then navigate to cyanogen mod settings
10. choose interface
11. then choose notification power widget
12. scroll down to indicator color and select it
13. when the pick a color screen comes up
type in #ff00b2ff (zeros not O's)
and tap the color in the middle to select it
14. now back out and go to
wireless networks/mobile networks/accesspoint names
and hit the bottom left haptic button and say new apn

(wouldnt recommend allowing it to restore all your apps just hit ok and ok and ok but then navigate to market and stop it from downloading)
19. lastly open up rom manager and run a fix permissions then reboot
20.. enjoy!!!!!!!1

i'm having problems installing this rom i'm following the instructions on how to install this rom carefully but i'm stuck at the boot screen i've been installing roms since the g1 first came out i'm no noob to this i'm a veteran to this lol i've install every custom rom on the skyrocket and was successful but this one i can't seem to install this one for some reason i did everything you said from 1 - 6 i'm stuck at the samsung boot screen and it does nothing please help

Heres how to Swap internal and External Sd Cards
Here is the modded vold.fstab for swapping internal memory with external memory.
(This allows you to use your sd card (upto 32-64gb) for apps instead of being stuck with just 11gb)
Two methods to applying this-
1) use adb or root explorer, delete your current vold.fstab in system\etc and replace with the one i have provided.
2) RECOMMENDED Open up your roms zip/rar file and delete vold.fstab in system\etc and replace with the provided one.
(This way is PREFERRED because then your ROM will be started from scratch with this storage configuration)

almost all things are half way done brother.. extended menu is out there, power 14-15 toggles, reboot/shutdown issue fixed/radio,kernels basebands done, except faux's kernel, and aosp lockscreen i saw on your project is something you might wanna think twice, me & alphadog ripped that apart and he changed codes around to get it going to = failure what samsung has done with this rom or lets not hope for this ics or any future releases is that aosp lockscreen in smali its been turned into two touchwizes , you'll see when u do .smali you'll rip your hair out like we did ..but yah if anything gimme a shout on [email protected]

Does this rom have the infamous "shutdown/reboot freeze" that plagues all ICS roms? That's been my biggest issue with all the ICS builds I've flashed in recent days..Just looking for a keeper here as I'm sure many of us are. HOW TO

-place base rom of your choice on external sd card
and also the latest update .an email package
and whatever other mods and add ons you like
and a radio if you are coming from gb
-reboot into team win recovery
-wipe system
-factory data reset
-then go to mounts and choose external sd
-no go back and find the rom by choosing install zip
-swipe to confirm
-then install the radio you downloaded
and when complete reboot phone
-at this point everything will be settling and caching
which may or may not seem laggy.... and yes that white line is normal
its a battery representation mod
-im sure youll be eager to update busybox immediatly but let me tell you no
first open super user app.. find preferences and update user binary
hit it twice giving it root permissions
now .. is when to update busy box through the provided installer
-after you have done this
-power down phone
reboot into recovery and flash the latest update
and email package only
-reboot phone
now
-go into settings/ and applications.. and find rom manager
clear, app cache and data for that app
-now open up rom manager and press fix permissions
give it root
then allow it to finish
now reboot phone into recovery
and install any mods you may have downloaded
reboot and voila

It's actually not IP based but cookies based, so basically you can just wipe cookies/ go into and out of private browsing and vote as much as you want.
I already voted like 10 times to test it :X

LOL, I had it downloaded and was about 10 secs from flashing. I was saved by Metalsucks where my attention was again diverted. BTW, anyone else see Zappa's eyes lookin back?
