Rage of Bahamut on TF101 running Jelly Bean - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Does anyone here play Rage of Bahamut? A friend of mine told me about this game and I sorta wanted to give it a go since I'm a fan of TCGs. However I am not able to get it running here. I can install it and run just fine but for some reason the game says it is not able to connect to the server. Can anyone running Jelly Bean check it out and tell me whether I'm doing something wrong or there is a problem with the ROM I'm using. Do note I can play the game on my phone however poor old Vision runs out of memory quickly

it does work
it does work just the game is very bad on jelly bean it crashes every time.

[Q] Gameloft Games force close on Team EOS ICS Nightlies Version 14 Stingray

Hi guys, I have been lurking around here quite a bit trying to soak up as much of the incredible knowledge you guys have as possible. I can't ask this in the development section yet because I have not made enough posts so I appologize ahead of time if this is in the wrong place, please redirect me if so. After upgrading my Xoom 4g from Honeycomb to the latest ICS build from Team EOS (awesome by the way), I have discovered that none of my games produced by Gameloft will pass the license check. They were all purchased through the Android Market legally. I went through all the correct steps during the ROM Flash of clearing my cache, factory reset, and I even went as far as to reformat everything. Gameloft Tech Support has been unresponsive thus far so I turn to the pro's of XDA. Can anyone point me down the correct path? Thank you in advance!!!
the same thing happened when we updated from android 3.1 to 3.2 every game loft game fc ...so I have to wait for an update from game loft (via email) and a month later they came out with the fix. I hope its not that problem again and its just something bad in the rooms build. Cause all games are not working. What I see things...its something with the apps that need to run 3d .
Asphalt 6 HD and Modern Combat 3 are both failing at the license check.
Use RazorBlade's updated build (1/8)
Everything works. Even Gameloft Games.

ICS app compatability?

Hi, I got my Xoom and rooted and installed ICS straight away, I noticed a lot of applications and games don't work, is this due to not compatible with the Xoom or with ICS? Games like gta 3 crashes and psxdroid don't work, thanks
It's because of ics. Developers have to update their apps to get it working...

AARGHH...No GTA3 on ICS?!?!?!?

Getting really hacked off with this now as I've tried both CM9 kang and EOS builds of ICS and both will cause GTA3 to hang after the game initially loads. I then have to manually close it as it just locks up completely.
Anyone found a cure for this cos I need ICS but also NEED to play GTA3......lol
Any help greatly appreciated.
Need? Why is it a matter of life and death? You NEED food and water, you dont Need ICS & GTA 3, rather you would like to have both.
Looks like your SOL as far as having both ICS & GTA 3 and will have to prioritise which is more important, until an update is released.
Im getting a similar issue. The game boots and i can play it for a while, but it always eventually locks up on me. Its the only game that does this for me too. I tried it using several of the Kang ICS builds on my wifi only Xoom.
Tried lowering clock speeds too since i am overclocked.
works fine on the stock build of ICS here
Fudge it, might just roll back to stock and wait for OTA then.....lol

How long have you played the game in one stretch? My game "works fine" for a few minutes too but then freezes. I'm curious how long have you played in one continuous session?
I'm on stock ics longest I've managed is 5 mins of gta. Redownloading the data part as was my old files from honeycomb hoping it works.
Didn't work still freezes.
Just tried gta settings low high mixed nothing helped.

Not really surprising that a lot of the "high end" games are broken with ICS. I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure there were enough under the hood changes in the OS from HC to ICS that would break games like GTA3.
just installed gta 3 on my xoom. seems to be working fine.
Theres a rooted CWM flashable version of the stock ICS rom around. I think it's pinned in the dev section. I'm running it and all of the apps (games) I know and love (including GTAIII) run beautifully.
Winning!
Just updated GTA3 from the marketplace to version 1.3 and it seems to have been fixed, just played for 30mins or so without a hitch!
Still an awesome game, love cruising round to 'Push it to the Limit', brings back memories!

update worked for me as well

No problems with the last update and Team Rogue's CM9
I have the wifi only kang cm9 leak installed, along with the latest GTA3 patch and now I don't have lockups anymore. Played GTA3 for one hour, overclocked to 1.4ghz. No problems whatsoever.
Looks like they fixed it.
1.3 for me froze just after leaving the garage at the start of the game - could be because the sd files were from version 1.2?
have uninstalled and removed the sd files and redownloading... not sure if it will help.
sounds like 1.3 fixed it for everyone though
after the 1.3 update....working fine on my xoom and nexus both running ICS. played for 2 hours on xoom no bugs or crashing
No crash?
Anyone tried this on Xperia mini working with ICS ?
I'm downloading it right now to test it
Working perfectly on eos here

Android 4.4 Kit Kat Gaming

After updating to Kit Kat I decided to try out a game I've been playing recently (Modern Combat 4). A normally smooth game with not too many glitches is now nearly unplayable. When I am aiming my gun (It is an FPS game) the aim goes crazy as if someone else is moving my screen around. I was interested to see if this was an issue with only this game... It wasnt. Modern Combat 3 doesn't even start up, minecraft pocket edition has the same weird movements while moving my player around. Grand theft auto vice city has had extreme lag issues. For me this is a major issue because I use my tablet a lot for gaming. By the way it is a Nexus 7 (2013) Running stock 4.4. So overall, my question is has anyone else experienced this? Has google said anything about it, and if none of these have happened yet... How can I downgrade to 4.3? Thank You!

Frankly it may not be a googles problem but more the app and game developers updating their apps for the Kit kat version of Android, which I am sure they are already working on, as its money in the bag for them As for end users, yes, its a pain in the butt till updates starts rolling out.
Check this out! Links to useful Guides and " Banned " Documentaries
the problem is in the app not yet been upgraded to Android 4.4. Give it time and you'll see that everything will work out for the best!
On my nexus 10 I had problems only when using art, and the list of apps and games which doesn't support it's rapidly shrinking. Performance wise I don't seem to notice anything different.
I wanted to try kitkat
But the more I read, the less I think I'm going too like it.

Best ROM for running kids' games?

Hi everyone,
Simply put, what's the best ROM to use specifically for a 7 year old who wants to play games like the Lego games, Minecraft PE, and that awful bloons TD battles?
Everything was fine until my child's p5113 updated itself automatically to 4.2.2. Immediately after, it became unstable, frequently crashing and rebooting itself. Oddly, my other, identical p5113 used by my other child had no issues with the 4.2.2 update. Maybe a bad download flash? After some months of hearing complaints of the tablet freezing/rebooting in the middle of my kid's games, I decided to flash a custom ROM and get rid of all the bloat.
I used a May build of Omnirom which was much more stable, but I grabbed it at a time when it was having issues with disabling the keyboard (it assumed a hardware keyboard was present). So after every reboot I had to go into settings and fix it, not useful for a 7 year old child. But we made do through spring and summer until things started getting unstable again.
I installed Slimkat yesterday, and it looks beautiful, but the LEGO Speedorz game installs but dies right before the racing action starts. Bloons battles downloads but gives an error during installation. Sigh.
Cyanogenmod gives the same problems with the games, as does the latest Omnirom.
I don't care at all about fancy stuff, I just want something basic t hat actually works for my kid's games. I've installed several ROMs over the past day... several wouldn't even boot. I'm tempted to get an account at SAMMOBILE to get the stock firmware and flash that, but stock is so bloaty I imagine that's a source of problems.
I suspect I may have an actual board problem with the tablet, but before selling this one for parts and buying a new one, I'd like to exhaust all possibilities. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Marc
My daughter has Stock 4.1.1 (P5113UECLK7) rooted with the Next kernel and it seems to be ok. She runs a Ton of games daily with Minecraft being number 1. I have the file but am unable to upload it here so I would have to send it thru an email link. I have various others as well....Pure Vanilla 4.2.2, Brolees 4.2.2 and Shakatus newest Zapblaster v2.3 which is 4.2.2 Thats a really zippy ROM and he just updated it for the last time so its pretty new and very good. You can get that one on xda but I believe that all the lenks are down for the rest I mentioned. But I do have them just in case.

Excellent. Thanks. If you could PM me a link to Pure Vanilla that would be great. I was looking for that one yesterday and the links were dead. :crying: The Shakatu mostly stock/rooted one didn't boot for me for some reason. But Ripper ROM based on it seems to be working well. Would love pure vanilla as a backup. I will also look into the zapblaster one.
Thanks so much for replying!
Marc
Sammobile and samsung-updates both have that file. Sammobile doesn't send me any emails even though I have an account so that isn't really a problem. The accounts are free. If you root it, you can remove the extra system apps. You could also flash the next kernel for some extra speed and overclock.
