[Q] Removing battery cover and/or change SIM - Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE

Hello
Has anyone got any ideas on how to remove the back cover on the Photon Q 4G? I want to know if I can remove the SIM and replace with my 'foreign' SIM. I did research and found that the SIM is embedded under the battery, but in order to get to that you need to still get to the battery.
Please help.

I was curious of this myself so I took my Photon Q apart right now for you and no it does not has a removable sim it soldered to the board and covered and enclosed in the board meaning you can't get to it with out breaking the Mother Board.
btw Im a Certified repair technician in a Sprint store...just so you know im not just some punk kid

What gives you the right to say what they are or are not? If all you're looking to do is promote your thread which to me is all this looks like I'll happily remove any posts like this. Leave your opinions about other members out of your posts.

He FOUND this phone.
His sim is probably inactive, that's why. Only in the US are the carriers required to let you on their network without service just for 911 calls. Other countries, not so much.
tried three different sims(active) but still with the same problem.
wifi works just fine etc
i belive its blocked.

Either the radio is busted, or you are in a country where they block stolen/lost phones.
I belive that is the case....
is it a way to unblock ?
Funny, just yesterday I lost one....

You can send it to me
Ill pay for your troubles.
You could call the carrier and try to find the owner. If you did that then you'd catch less heat on the forum and you can make a bid with the carrier to get it un-banned.

Looking for a broken nexus one as well. Specifically the lower motherboard component and loudspeaker.
fizzle101, did you end up finding one? If so, do you have either of the components I need left over?

Why dont you drown your Defy it should be water resistant up to one meter.
Motorola have to repair or replace your Defy when it breaks of water damage i would think.
But i think they will just replace some parts and not send you a completely new handset.

Boy your insane. Believe me they wont exchange ur phone for a new one. Instead they'll keep ur unit with them for a week, promising u that the problem will b resolved and then after a week they'll return u the same handset by repairing the defected part
Sell the old and buy a new one. Simple!

yo work done lets see what Moto has to say on this
Not to be rude or anything,
But what is the point of having a forum if each time someone finds an answer you delete it?
Instead of removing the question and just saying done, would be good to actually answer how you did it, since I dont think you are the only one who might wanna pull this off.
Maybe he thinks if Motorola reads this topic his defy's won't be repaired.
But you're right - he shouldn't delete it.
Haha what about they will change your board, but not the camera? XD

Omg, watch the second video here, @time 3:40 you will see that the flash is attached to the white cover...
I'm curious. Any update on this?

Is there a way to solve the yellow line?

I everyone, sorry if I ask.
I've bought a chinese OPO and I've seen that, at the bottom of the screen I've the "famous" yellow line.
Is there a way to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I'm under warranty but I've bought the phone from China and I'm from Italy, only the ship cost will be more than the repair.
There's no place to repair a china phone here, nobody even known the phone
But it's a problem that has a lot of OPO and the manufacturer said that, they're good enough and, even N% has yellow screens...
But I'm really not happy with this phone, not only for the yellow line.
There is no way to fix it, with usage and time it gets slightly better. 99% of phones have this, so you should not have bought the phone, if you think this is a deal breaker.

I didn't know that this kind of phone has this kind of screen. Obviously I never bought a phone with this defect.
I really never bought a phone even if I had known the state of Cyano 11s.
But it'd definitely my fault.
Thanks for the answers.
There's an entire thread dedicated to this. Try using a UV lamp (found at a nail salon) for ten minutes with the device turned off.
Please search before posting.
