thanks man for your hard work will try it now

great app, but in conflict with CPU Tuner It changes the CPU Frequency but CPU Tuner tries also (have customized CPU Tuner so it saves battery better then you App does I think) but wil compare those two now
Thanks for the Trial Options!

during night no interesting to compare because deep sleep work already great , no loss.
i have reinstall and try your application today to see if there are better battery usage during the day.
but for people who trying they must accept that phone is low cause optimal settings battery profile.

I'll give it a try thanks, battery defender don't seem to be working to well with faux kernel and my rom.

We consider that many users do not know how to modify the system parameters, do not know how to optimize. So we did some work.
Version 1.7 has been perfect, we already have new innovations, please waiting.

Is there any way to change the governor in the already made mode? It always set to ondemand how about I want to change it to other governor like badass / smartassv2?

SETCPU

I've download SETCPU and for some reason, I don't see the phone listed.
NVIDIA tegra 2 TP20/AP2OH?
t-mobile Pulse?
Cannot find it. Anyone know what to do in this situation?
Use Pimp My CPU instead.
I believe that Pimp my CPU is the only one working for our phone. You may want to check that out instead. If you search on XDA the Developer posted the app on here, however, I suggest you purchase the app from the market to support him.
Depends..
If your on stock rom and kernel then use setcpu and choose tegra2.
If your on custom rom with custom OC kernel use pimp my cpu.
Of course both require your phone to be rooted as well.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
What exactly does SetCPU do that the stock froyo governor does not do?
Just curious.
This week I am trying a couple of things to see how big a difference Juice Defender and SetCPU really make.
^ Honestly haven't seen a difference with Juicedefender, unless I need to download the ultimate one. The basic one actually drains mybattery like no tomorrow.
Honestly, I use task killer but manual, I hardly kill my applications, I ignore most of them that need to be on or are on everytime I turn my phone.
But I have a girlfriend that likes to play 6 - 10 games at a time when she's on my phone, that needs to be killed when she's done or when I'm done with them.
I'm going to try SETCPU for tegra2 because I'm on stock right now. Looking to download a ROM though
What SETCPU does is it scales the processor frequency or speed in non techy terms.
For example:
If you enable screen off profile you can force the processor to run on slower speeds to conserve battery when the screen is off.
Recommended settings:
Max: 500
Min: lowest
Also with battery profile enabled if the phone goes below certain percentage it will drop the processor's speed to help conserve battery life as well but of course sacrificing performance though.
Recommended settings:
Max: lowest
Min: lowest
The main screen a.k.a general profile is the main profile the processor will be set to when the screen is on and the phone is being used.
Recommended settings:
Max: 1ghz
Min: 1ghz
What do you suggest for the other profiles such as charging or temp? Thanks for your post. It's the only one I've found in this thread with suggestions for the noobs.

I don't have one for charging, but for temp, I have the max speed kick down to about half (512MHz or whatever the step value is) if the temp goes over 41C.
The most important one is the Screen Off profile, I have the max speed set to one step over minimum and it saves a lot of battery life.

[Kernel] ardatdat kernel v1.6b3 [CWM] (2012-04-06)

Dear all,
As I have already distributed the v1.6b1 (beta 1) to some (many?) of members a week ago. I have been requested to open a new thread such that I could highlight what have been changed and let all testers to express their feelings and opinions to the new kernel in this centralized thread.
First, let me introduce the features of "The New Kernel" ... (not The New iPad)...
1. Stabilized the voltage & frequency setting such that the 'stock' voltage is used without affecting OC stability.
2. As different machine's CPUs are different, OC to 1.35Ghz is not the most stable setting. Instead, 1.3Ghz will be the max.
3. Remove some of the useless codes used in v1.5
4. Pick some of the code difference from the official XWLA4 kernel
5. Add in support to read NTFS & CIFS file system
6. Switch to use the SLUB allocator
7. Disable ipv6 (unless I am told to add it back)
8. Other minor bug fixes
Next, let me conclude some of the comments from members on the beta:
1. Works fine with Titanium ROM 2.1
2. Undervolted it to 750mv @ 608mhz, more stable than v1.5
3. More smooth than v1.5
4. Not as warm as v1.5, so far so 'cool' in temperature
5. No lag, no freeze
So, welcome for more opinions, discussions and findings and let's discuss here. If everything goes right, I will release v1.6 within a few days
** Updated: v1.6b2 has been sent out to around 10 testers for testing
-- reserved --
just got back from long leave...
got your kernel but havent installed it yet..
on your last 1.5 i'm having problem with ONDEMAND mode. it does not smooth after long standby/idle. INTERACTIVE is the best setting for me. hope 1.6 is much2 better!..
gonna test it tonight woohooo!!..

Yes, it should be fine.
Flashing the kernel every time is flashing a 'new' one. There are not any dependency with the previous kernel.
4 days of intensive testing and I've found no probs. Can someone put his undervolting stable results?

Thanks for your report.
As I think you are the only one experiencing that. Could you please elaborate more on the situation. Example: the SetCPU setting / profile setting / screenshot. Lag, how lag, and have you wipe the cache before flashing the new kernel? Have you tried to flash back v1.5 and see the situation. Also, battery drain is fast is strange as I use 'lower' voltage setting that v1.5.
Please help to test more and provide more information such that we could help in fixing the problem. Thanks.

when firstly i installed this i didn't format cache then restore to 1.5 but see ur instruction i format cache and again flash 1.6 since 2 hours flashing it runs quite smoothly now ....... in set cpu i have used 1200 mhz frequency and interactive profile but i doesn't change any voltage.......... please insist me if i have to change voltage either or frequency........
I tested frequency 1100 mhz and I must admit it's unbelievable how much boost i performance gives you clocking with just 100 mhz. I would say it's relatively the most efficient frequency. (if you compare differences between 1 and 1,1 ghz, and then 1,1 and 1,2 ghz).
Where can I find 1,6 version
Sent from my GT-I9103 using Tapatalk
u can't, it's still being tested, but if you want to participate send pm directly to ardatdat.
NTFS Support
Got my OTG cable today,
Plugged in my NTFS formatted Pen drive and its loaded with all gears.
Thanks ardatdat for bringing up NTFS support on my request.

I'm still on stock kernel, but will most likely update to ardatdat's 1.6 when released.
Is the performance boost perceived boost under general usage or is it synthetic benchmarks such as Antutu?
It was so funny. If v1.6 is not released, maybe you could all blame him for it.

[Q] Liquidsmooth Question

I have less than 10 post so I have to make a separate thread here.... Anyway I have been alternating between Liquidsmooth and debloated stock. Compared to stock I have noticed very high battery drain, even when the phone is not doing anything! I have tried disabling unnecessary services, but drain still seems high, is there anything I can do about this?
Also thanks for putting the rom together Rav3nt3ch, aside from the battery trouble it's a great rom!
I have noticed that the battery saver and turning on the phone while plugged in both seem to cause problems with going into deep sleep mode in liquid. Without the battery saver active and rebooting with the phone unplugged i think i get better or at least comparable life to stock.

[NEW/APP] Root Booster - Boost your performance, battery life with innovative tools

Root booster is for those who needs more power to run applications smoothly without lags or for those who needs to improve poor battery life.

"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
There are many apps which save battery or incrase performance, however Root Booster uses the most proven settings to achive best results. You can easily apply these settings with preset modes which ensures speed boost, battery boost or stability boost. Theese modes are achived by applying appropriate settings to main phone components. Here are explanations what particullary Root Booster does to your CPU, RAM and Android OS system.
CPU (processor governor control)
A governor is a driver for the regulation of CPU frequency. Governor decides how fast and when will by achieved maximal or minimal CPU frequency. Setting apropriate governor makes your device more battery saving, fast or even stable. However deciding which governor is suitable is a little bit tricky. Root Booster can decide which governor you should use and automatically apply the most suitable governor for selected mode.
RAM (memory manager)
Each application uses VM heap for it 's data and work. The main reason to change VM heap size is stability improvement. Many big applications need's big amount of memory (VM heap) for it's work. If the VM heap size is smaller than requested memory causes application crash (Out of memory error). Setting heap size is hard task and there is no manual to set up for better performance. Better performance can be only achieved by testing. Root boster will test your RAM and sets up your VM heap size for better stability and performance.
System (Android OS optimizer)
Each Android application can have one or multiple services. They are running in background and usually performing some kind of task. Many people think's that when they kill application it completely stops draining your battery and computing power, but that's not true. Application still have servicies that are running after killing and still drains battery and comuting power. Root booster will scan your services and disables the most battery draining and performance demanding servicies to optimize your system.
