First on Kies... after a few days, it'll probably be OTA aswell. But I'm sure all of us hope for it to be available on Kies.. Or else we'll have to unroot or wait for someone to create an ICS stock ROM for us or something.

Ugh, the tittle had me excited for no good reason -__-

I think I will wait till there is a rooted Blaze ICS ROM I can update via CWM

So we can get sources to make everything work. The custom ROMs are using Rogers kernel. We will be able to get Hdmi working, which I don't use anyways, and bluetooth fully working.

True. We'll wait till we see a Samsung mobile version, even know the tablet and phone supposed to be utilizing the same software configuration, we'll see a better product once the SIII or similar receives it.

ok so does anyone have any official opinions on the official ics, I would only assume that the leaks and modded roms are still significantly better
I like it, but the only thing that bothered me was the stock Swype was popping up and down as i typed. It really isn't that different from the non stock ones, it has a reboot function, expandable status bar,(not everything that i wanted) and it is smooth. No real need to try others, just root and delete and add what you want. And freeze Swype, and install the new beta.

The last update that was released, you will get a failed update notification via OTA. However, with Kies, its successful, but of course you'll lose root, and all your T-Mobile bloatware is re-installed.

What are you talking about, we've had the Official ICS update for the better part of this month! The Blaze ICS update is and always will be manual, so you will have to use the KIES software for your computer to connect to your phone. Then you can run the update, in fact if your phone is rooted you have to revert back to an unrooted phone for KIES to connect to it. I'm not sure what this guy is trying to get you to do but I would update to the official ICS with KIES first and then ROOT if you so desire.
I'm running stock ICS that I've rooted and debloated because I need Wifi-Calling.
And as always, just search the forums man, you would have found this stuff out in 5 mins if you had.
Didn't know.

Ok moving away from all this crap. Just to let you know there will be no official Jelly Bean update for our blaze.
As said by chjema there are some Jelly Bean roms. There is a official one that chjema also mentioned. The CM10 by dr4astic. Its unstable but its an official from cyanogen. If you just want CM9 there is a stable one from Erik. Look in the android development. There are a lot of roms you can choose

I'm really surprised this thread hasn't been moderated extensively.

Downgrading, etc..

Okay guys, I updated my boyfriend's Atrix 2 to ICS leak 2 a while back and would like to wipe it/get it to official ICS... I remember people bricking via fxz methods when it had first come out and I would like to ensure that does not happen (or he will kill me! heh) any help is really appreciated. The reason we need to do this is because his phone has become defective and we'd like to replace it via AT&T.
