I really want to remove the Evenote icons that are persistently in the notification tray.
Seems like Motorola has cooked Evernote into their system on the Xyboard 10.1.
TiBu says its a system app.
I've uninstaled evernote using tibu, rebooted and the evernote icon is gone, but the "sticky" and "open" icons are still there.
Tried to freeze it also...same result.
anyone know how to remove evernote from my notification tray?

I installed handcent and now when I get a text I get 2 notifications. How do I delete the at&t app? In titanium backup I only see the ability to remove the preferences but not the program itself.
Also I am running launcher pro and I want to use my tw app drawer icon but its not available when I go to change the icon. How do I get it on there? I can use other tw icons for other apps, just not this one.
Thx

Open Messaging, and on the main list of all your threads hit Menu then settings and disable Notification.
I had the same issue. Don't delete the messaging app. (I don't know if you should or shouldn't, so I wouldn't), just disable the notifications.
Edit: Gotten from here: http://www.handcent.com/Faq.php
It's an excellent sms replacement imo.
Hi there,
does anyone know a way how to hide apps from the drawer?
Google says i could use a different drawer (i don't want that) or i could disable them with tools like Titanium Backup (which needs root).
So any ideas? And why are there even TWO apps for Facebook and TWO Apps for Twitter?
I don't think you can hide drawer icons in Sense. You need to use a launcher like AWDLauncher.EX or Launcher Pro to be able to do that.
HTC has its own Facebook and Twitter apps/widgets, and the others are the official apps from the Android Market.
I am running the stock Rogers rom (2.3.3) and am rooted.
The phone came preloaded with 'phone' 'internet' 'email' and 'applications' shortcuts at the bottom of the screen (like so http://www.androidincanada.ca/web/c...9_with_three_year_contract_54999_outright.jpg). I would like to replace 'email' with the Gmail application and possibly add messages to the list. These items however can not be dragged around like normal home screen shortcuts/widgets.
How can I do this? I am rooted!
I think your best bet is to use a different Launcher that you can customize. I use ADWex it lets you chose from lots of different dock bars and you can use any icon you want or even edit the icon. Just be sure to download Home Switcher so the you can go back if you dont like the launcher and If you like whatever launcher you chose you can delete Twiz launcher all together with Titanium backup since you are already rooted.
Thanks for the reply, I would ideally like to keep the stock launcher. Is there a way using root explorer to change the path of the email icon so it goes to gmail (or even messages)
Hello fellow N5 users~! I am hoping that someone out there knows the solution to my frustration.
Coming from TouchWiz and 3rd party launchers such as Apex and Hololauncher, I'm very used to having the ability to hide app icons inside the app drawer. If I have the apps as shortcuts on my homescreens, dock, and folders, I like hiding the reduntant app icons inside the drawer so that when I do enter the drawer, I don't have to filter through the apps (I have 120 apps installed).
I found some apps that promise to hide apps inside the drawer but they seem to only work by disabling the apps, which leads to app icons in the homescreens, dock, and folders to disappear as well.
So is there a way to hide apps inside the app drawer like we can with Apex?

There is no way to do this with the stock launcher.
I was looking for help disabling the app badge notifications for non-Samsung devices. All the searching I have done seems to point at changing launchers. I would like to figure out how to modify the stock rom. What I have tried so far is using ROM Toolbox Pro to disable the 'NotificationBroadcastReceiver' in the 'Advanced Freeze' section on an app that has the app badge notification. The app badge notification went away for a few minutes and then came back. Any ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated!
NOTE: I was thinking I might have to edit some .smali files of the app in question. If so, I use APK Editor Pro to disassemble APK files right from my device.
What do you mean by 'app badge notifications'? Notifications in system bar, or, for example, the number of unread messages for some messenger app that appears on the desktop?

The red bubble with the number that shows up on some app icons like Facebook, Messages, and even on folders if you have folders set up.
Hm, then I don't know either, my only option would be to change launcher as well.
I'm hoping there is a way to disable them by editing the smali code. I am learning smali now, seems similar to visual basic
