a question about the 3500 mah battary (the fake one's) - Galaxy S I9000 Accessories

i just saw this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=864638
and that person get a 3500 mah battary for 8 doller for the epic 4g which is really cheap and yet if you look at the battary life its amazing i was wondering if i buy this one for the galaxy s1
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3500mAh-Ext...899&pid=100011&prg=1005&rk=1&sd=220794031234&
will it be the same?
anyone bought one of those 3500 mah battarys and check out the life vs stock one?

*bump*

Basically, it's not rocket science. If the battery is the same size as the OEM battery, it's very likely that it's not any bigger, if not smaller.
Don't be fooled by 'Japanese Compression Technology' (my favourite line from eBay batteries lol), it's about as believable as 'Authentic Chinese Replica;.

it's depends on your luck, maybe you will get a good battery life, as the OP of the thread, but in my experience (a friend bought a 2500 mAh battery for my i9001) lifetime of stock battery is better.

3000 vs 3500 MAH, which one?

Wondering which battery to get of them two, I've read some users saying that the 3500M battery is actually smaller than the 3000M which would indicitate it has less capacity? They've also said that it doesn't live up to the rated capacity in terms of usage time. I'm leaning toward the 3000M battery as it seems to have a better reputation. I also don't really want to spend more than ~$15 on the new battery.
Also, which one has a better feel to it with the cover?
I was bought this one http://www.batteryupgrade.com/shopB...rtmentProductId/42252157/shopGroupId/46205854
from renomierung distributer (know from many pasts ordering), and im very, very satisfacted.

Any picture of a battery that size in the sgs?
Hvala Miro. It's a bit expensive though.
I was thinking of one of these
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/3000mAh-Exte...Accessories&hash=item5add807a84#ht_4261wt_905
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/3500M-EXTEND...Accessories&hash=item4aa5e7292d#ht_1727wt_905
none of those batteries really offer the advertized capacities, probably the 3500 will give you a few hours more than the 3000 but expect them to be like 75% or less of their real rated capacity.
Some people have said in other threads that the 3500m one is actually smaller than the 3000, which should mean that the actual capacity is lower?

I purchased both from e-cell in UK. They look pretty much identical, the 3500 one has label only on one side and it's a little thinner. But they are higher capacity than the stock one, about twice the capacity.
Doing my usual test while communting on metro and train, reading news with screen at minimum brightness, with the standard battery I usually lose 20% in 1 hour, with the big battery I lose 10%.
The back cover is a little too big and there's a space between the battery and the cover, so it moves, I had to fill the gap with a piece of paper.
@vcespon
You have a 3000mAh and a 3500mAh battery?
Do you have now more experience in the differences?
Is here a owner of a 3000mAh Yoobao Accu?
It seems Yoobao is a "quality label"?!?
A comparison of budget 3500mAh and budget 3000mAh and Yoobao 3000mAh would very interesting.
Specifically, the running time for the same use (eg video loop).
The Yoobao battery costs three times more as the cheapest noname battery.
€7, the chepeast 3500mAh battery and €21 for the 3000mAh Yoobao.
Is the desk stand the only difference?

Non-extended battery options?

So, I'm looking to replace my 6 month old stock Epic battery, and was thinking while I was at it I might as well get the best one available to me, with the only requirement being that it doesn't require a new phone back plate. Searching/Browsing this forum has proved somewhat unsuccessful, the best threads I found were this one where slvr00gt debunks the mAh ratings of some Chinese batteries, and this nondescript thread where the 1650 mAh battery from the Galaxy S is discussed (some sellers seem to be packaging 1500 mAh batteries as 1650 mAh batteries).
It seems the best option currently available for replacing your stock battery while keeping the same form factor is the same Samsung 1500 mAh battery or the 1650 mAh Samsung battery from the Galaxy S (although sourcing a genuine one seems to be difficult currently).
Are there other options out there I'm missing? Planning on keeping this post updated as a guide, btw.
The battery from europe is genuine.

Some guy from Solvania is selling them and I can say his batteries are genuine I weight my standard 1500 mah stock battery and it weighs 32.1 grams and the 1650 mah replacement stock battery weighs 33.5 grams which weighs approximately 4% more than the 1500 mah stock battery. The other batteries I got from china weighed in at 29.6 grams, 29.4 grams and 28.9 grams the weight on these battery are inconstistant. But I got all three batteries with the charger for 1/3 the price I paid for my replacement battery from europe.
Do you have a link to these Solvania batteries? Good batteries are going to be heavier then the cheaper ones.

Best replacement battery?

Hi.
What is the best high performance replacement battery for i9505?
Best regards
J
ZeroLemon and Anker batteries are good alternatives. They range from stock size to big power batteries. Depending on what your needs are.
go for the zero lemon 3000 mah if you want a stock size..
i use the Anker 5200 (it's double thick).. and it makes the phone heavier and thicker.. but i go 3 days on a charge... and it's freaking amazing

Thanks.
I´ll go for the zerolemon.
I like anker they are grade a cell battery and are the same size as the oem battery i just bought this and its wonderful.

Definitely Anker!
wow do people actually use that anker battery?! I was thinking of just buying the anker astro 3 and charging it while im working or whatever. The zerolemon battery looks nice though.

Hey I have gt i9500 rooted with custom rom. (i have never done overclock and never touched voltage settings)
I have just found awesome battery for out galaxy s4 3450mah on ebay.
however, im afraid it may be exploded or something
someone more expert than me can tell me if its ok buying this kind of battery?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Golden-..._Cell_Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item20e03794d0
These kind of batteries are not what they promise. You can buy them on every Chinese warehouse site.
They won't explode, but they wont offer 3450 mAh by a long shot.
I Think they will provide around 2200 mAh. Look around for reviews on proper batteries from bigger companies.
Zerolemon has the highest tested capacity battery 3000 mAh ( real life 2900mAh) as far as I know.
If the battery looks to good to be true, it probably is.
Yeah I would NOT trust that. 95% of unbranded Japanese cell phone batteries do not match up to their advertised capacity. As the person above said, look into Zerolemon's batteries. I personally do not own one myself yet but it's the closest you will get to getting a true 3000mAh capacity. If it was possible to get more than 3000mAh into a battery that will fit with the original stock battery cover, most of XDA would know about it. Do not trust the 3450mAh.

4350mAh Li-ion Replacement Battery

Hello guys, this battery is good?
http://www.tinydeal.com/pt/4350mah-...t-battery-for-samsung-galaxy-s5-p-123321.html
Bought and i'm waiting for it.
NO!
Dont ever buy gold batterys! there all fakes.
Try ankar or zerolemon
i have a 7500mah anker battery for my s5. it is beast. even on the first day of ownership of the anker battery, i noticed a huge increase in battery life. i highly recommend the anker 7500mah battery or zerolemon battery. both are reviewed with high ratings on amazon and the respective anker and zerolemon sites.

Yeah,Anker,Zerolemon and Onite batteries are very popular on Amazon.
It's 4 dollars. You have nothing to lose.
Except if it's really crap quality and it overheats and ends up shorting your device. Or even worse catching fire or something.
looking at the same battery right now.
Is it any good? better than stock battery? last longe, doesn't get hot... ?
The cells in those cheap batteries just aren't up to the job of high drain phones like the S5, so all you doing is risking the battery shorting or overheating and going pop inside your phone, so spend a few dollars extra and get an Anker battery because they are good.
And thinking about the capacity they pronounce you never ever will get even near 4000mAh or more mAh with a LiIon/Poly battery with the dimensions of the original S5 battery.
We had a thread here about MPJ replacement battery for the S5 (thread at xda, producers webshop) which should be a 4300mAh version. I only bought it in order to check the capacity because there was a big discussion on this. I checked it with a special computer driven battery charger and with the S5 itself. It had nearly the same capacity as my some month old original S5 battery. I cannot say anything about long term use because I only tested it for some weeks.
So my recommendation would be get an original battery directly from Samsung (in order to not get a fake) or look after Anker (I tested it good with my S3), Zerolemon, MPJ. They are more or less proved quality.
