[ROM] [MT3G LE,1.2] CM port 4.2.15.1 Success!

I have successfully ported cyanogenmod 4.2.15.1 to my mytouch 1.2 (LE), just thought i would share,the port is fully stable the only thing thats
not working is tethering, touchscreen works,headjack,video,etc. you must flash 1.6 DRC83 base defanged before flashing the port, you should
be able to find that somewhere around this forum or cyanogenmod website.. i reccommend that you do a full wipe flash base then flash this port
should have no problems... so here it is if anybody wants it..

what did you have to do?

Yes the kernel doesn't support it basically it is the mytouchLE stock kernel I guess that's y...

MAKE SURE you flash the 1.6 base before you flash port! You have to search for it I didn't provide it...

OK I did it.
I flashed 1.6 defanged from here:

then without rebooting I flashed your CM ROM.
I didn't do a wipe, I meant to but forgot. SO far everything is great!
it's fast.
I was able to update google voice to the latest .32. which I couldn't before.
barnacle tether works,
market place is still not showing all apps to me I think it's the same issue as here: (goto page 17 I think) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=665601
so far this is a great job!!!

dagnabbit, I was hoping protected apps would be showing up.
I'll still flash it anyway because I'm a junkie and I need my rom fixes lol

I haven't been able to download the entire file for some reason.
Must be an issue with 4shared because I can download off of Google Code just fine.
If I can get this downloaded and installed and verify that it works as it should then I will host a mirror for you.

I've tried downloading this thing like (counting...) 28 times.
The furthest I was able to get was 70%.

Can somebody host this on something other than 4shared.

WOW! they are showing up for me now also!!!

Also showing up for me right away though I did a wipe as recommended.
I've had some crash-reboots but I understand that's fairly normal with CM.

I'm using Gen.Y Dualboot at the moment. But when this program will start clrcad.exe before starting haret.exe, I will use this one.

Unfortuantly, no. You are still bound by whatever porting errors exist in Android

Sorry but dont work for me. Cant choose anything during boot HD2 Boot like always.

A little more info please. Does anything pop up during boot?

No nothing. I installed the app on my device but nothing happen. I use a custom Rom with WM 6.5.5

not working for me on miri 6.5 v17. Same issue just don't get any options during boot. windows just boots up as normal.

I have ported the 13 TogglesMod for XXKQB. So now you can apply up to 13 Toggles to your PullDownMenu.
To manage the Toggles use the app QuickPanelSetting which will be installed with the zip.

So first of all I wanted to say that I tried it with your Package (SkyHigh) but I changed the vold.fstab with the Standard Galaxy S Plus one.
Then I booted up and got a lot of AudioManager Errors. So I inserted all libaudio*.so files from the stock gingerbread rom in your build.
After that I got Netd 1.0 Error.
Now i tried it with the stock gingerbread kernel but modded the init.rc file to match the "new" BootClassPath.
Now Netd is starting.
Here is the logcat from my last attempt: http://pastebin.com/GFM0zz6W

Compiled fresh from AOKP sources & Android 4.3.
Using latest Cyanogen Kernel.
Installed on my phone and tested and booting.

Well its Android 4.3 so its not in line with the old 4.2.2 rom.
Its AOKP merged with android 4.3 but only early days. However I have installed this on my phone and it hasnt crashed yet or done anything stupid so I'm happy with it. Going to use it as my daily driver instead of my AOKP 4.2.2 rom...

Battery life is OK. Not super fantastic or anything. I use this ROM on my phone. I'm hoping battery life can be improved over time... I'm using yank555 kernel with battery savings turned on

Install went ok
will report if any bugs

Had 1 soft reboot while enabling bluetooth but that has not happened again.

checked my Theme and found no thumb.db in it.(yes hidden files in OS are shown)
Why should I use this?
btw: the "vrtheme Flash" and the "Universal Flasher" ignores Files that dont exist.
so the thumb.db files should be skipped by flashing.

Sorry xxmrgreenxx ... didn't quite get you.
You are saying that the tool did not deleted the thumbs ?
You don't need to 'show' hidden files in order to the tool work properly.
If you previously setted up your Windows box to not create those files (as I always do) you do not need this tool.
It's is directed to those themers that do not are aware of the matter and release something like this:
ZIP size: 220 Mb
Extracted: 251 Mb
Thumbs.db: 165 files accounting for 168 Mb [ 67% ] !!!!!!

Experiment with "vrTheme Flash zip" puts the Thumb.db into SystemUi.apk.
This Version with Universal Flasher ignores the Thumb.db

But, let me propose the following scenario using UFS:
A themer wants to introduce a new set of battery icons, with 1% awareness ... ok ?
He will provide a new resources.arsc, the drawable xml's and all those additional batt icons (1, 2, 3 ...) that are needed to the job and, as so, he will have to set NO to that UFS flag. If there are ANY additional files they will be flashed too.
So UFS is 'safe' ONLY when CLEAN_MORPHING is set to YES ... right ?
