Hey dman, I'm a little nervous given the warning on the bootloader download page which indicates you can do serious damage to your phone. I'm have no problem with iphone jailbreaks but just stepped over to the Android side recently and don't wanna do anything stupid.
I'm currently on the CM7 rom, do you happen to know if i'm ok as far as flashing over to your rom without changing the bootloader?

Should be able to...if you run into an issue let me know and well work it out

I searched the entire dev thread and didn't see anyone else reporting this so I think it may be my phone but I can't install anything from the market. So when I tried to get Titanium backup or SGS Kernal flasher or even just update existing apps they all download fine but cause a reboot when they are installing. Any ideas? I tried reflashing already.

Hmmm...idk I have downloaded many apps with no issue...may have to Odin...I posted in op if anyone having major issues I recommend Odin to stock because I have had zero issues...

The name is a loooooooooooong time used online name- maiden name was peacock (hence ladybird). I never changed it after all these years. And yes, for the record that makes me one of the VERY few women on the board!

I can confirm same problem coming from cathy. I did Odin back to stock then re flash same problem. Then flashed back to Cathy and tried to in stall apps and no problem?? everything else seems to be ok just wont install anything? Banging my head on the wall with this one..

Everything went smooth for me and love the rom a lot more than the previous one I was running. Only problem I have is I get a FC when trying to change the phone or notification tones. Looked through the developer thread and nobody else has mentioned it but that is a problem i'm encountering but no other issues.

Logs provider, is this the modded one or do I need to add it?

I had the same issue at first. But I re-wiped and re-flashed and it seemed to go away.

This worked- I couldn't edit the file suggested w/out root explorer, which of course I could not download w/out the market. Sort of stuck there in a corner- but I flashed entropy kernel and now I'm fine.
As usual, the ROM rocks socks.

how to add more app at your app drawer? thi is a very noobish question but I'm here reading and sick at the same time so I didn't find anything in the q&a thread nor the dev thread. and nothing that I write makes any sense. Going home pretty soon but since I'm a lil anal about things, I can't leave things half way. like setting up my phone. Pls help. thanks

SongPoP does not WORK!

Hey XDA members,
Ive updated to the latest SKY ICS R-3. i must say it is the best ROM I've used and always looking for the latest update.
the only problem I'm having is running Song Pop app. I'm addicted to it and SKY ICS will not let it load. it starts up and then a blue screen thats all.
any help here would be greatly appreciated

Yup. Couldn't get it to work at all on skyICS. which sucked because I wouldn't get rid of that ROM, but got JB now and it works!

I'm having the same issue. I upgraded from sky ics 4.2e to 4.2f(non dragon) and it worked on my old ROM, but not since I updated. I posted in the sky ics post earlier... no replies yet hope we can figure something out. I can even help get debug if people need it, I just don't know enough to change code... I only know Linux, not java programming.

Not yet . I posted about it twice on his ROM thread, once someone even quoted me and confirmed it doesn't work, but noone ever responded to my post . Maybe I'll try one more time.
Oh and I upgraded from 2.7A to 2.8B update, and still no go.

Maybe his update or new project coming out will fix this problem MAYBE

Mine is working fine on embryo haven't been on sky Ics in awhile try the clear data and cache and then go back fix permissions hopefully that works if not let seanz know but I doubt there will be anything done he hasn't done anything on that thread IN minute

Currently running the newest SKY-ICS 3.0, and SongPop still does not work. Tried everything, including installing the last Adobe Flash Player with a Flash Installer. Adobe Flash Player runs just fine, but still no SongPop. Had the same problem with Screenshot from Google Play today, as far as force closing, and the same error message. Uninstalled Screenshot, and reinstalled it, works fine now. I did notice the last time I uninstalled, and reinstalled SongPop, it said a shortcut was already on my home screen, but I had just uninstalled it. Maybe it's not truly uninstalling all the way to get a fresh install. I don't know, but SongPop not working on SKY-ICS is the only thing that sucks for me.
Just for ****s n giggles, SongPop support sucks ass. I tried seeing if they knew what was up, and all they do is dance around the problem. Told them all of what was going on in my first comment on there, phone, o/s version, and exactly what was happening. The tech replies with, please reply with all of this info including SongPop username, phone, o/s, sreenshot of when it's failing. I was kinda harsh, and told him I already posted most of it in my previous post, and then sent another reply with username, and a couple screenshots. One of the blackscreen when it f/c's and another one of the error message. Next reply is, try uninstalling, and reinstalling SongPop. In my first comment, I already stated that I have done this many times, along with clearing cache, data, and even did a fresh install of this ROM to make sure none of my other apps, and or settings was screwing with it. Next reply is, We're sorry you're having this isssue, please check back often to see if your problem is fixed. Also, each time they reply to new comments, they close your help request, and mark it as solved. It took me 6 days to get told, sorry it's not working, and we'll try to fix it.

Works fine on CM10/AOKP. Sky-ICS is dead. Switch to a newer ROM.

try using the libCore.so from adobe air:
1. Install the lastet adobe air from google play
2. Copy the file libcore.so from /data/data/com.adobe.air/lib/libCore.so to /data/data/air.com.freshplanet.games.SongPop*/lib/libCore.so , you can use a file explorer like cm explorer or the terminal.
3. Start playing

Wifi Freeze

HI guys, for various reasons I had to factory reset, so I flashed again Megatron Rom and Guevor's last kernel.
The only problem is that now, wifi connection seems to freeze after a while, I noticed it downloading Sygic maps.
So I tried to download a 200MB test file with wget, and after a bit (usually around 5-10%) I get status "stalled".
I never noticed this problem so far, anyone can help me?

Flash kernel again, wipe dalvik, cache and restart might work.. otherwise change the kernel ...

Thanks for the reply, but nothing to do, I tried wiping both caches, and all avaible kernels, but the problem persists. May it be rom-related?

I have never used that particular Rom but probably looking for comments n post inside that Rom might help... But I never had that problem with any Rom that I have used

My previous Rom was the same, I'll try some JB alphas to see if it's a hardware-related problem
Edit: Using TeamEOS Alpha I don't get any freeze, so it's a ROM-related problem. I will investigate further to see if it's a bad flash problem

i dont know why but my cell frezze and restart frecuently, especially when using ics or jb (frecuently most in ANY JB to date) ...actually im using jb liquid smooth and is very nice but i touch a lot my phone and going to a app to another one and suddenly...the bootloader logo..or...the samsung logo what can i do, i know what im doing when it is about to flash a phone...but kernels or modem...not much, i aprecciate the help

Are you restoring app and data with titanium backup , the more details you can give the more help you will receive

yes and no, i try for a long time download all apps again one by one and i get the same results...so when i use TB is from jb to jb data, another detail is that my cell gets hotter when usin wifi i dont know it is normal...and the ram is always 100~200mb free space...and sometimes close apps like facebook or opera by itselfs

I'm also on liquid smooth and was experiencing the force closes ,come to find out I was using the wrong gapps , did you edit the build.prop tweaks at all I noticed when I changed the vnheapsize my phone would not sleep and when I hit the power button it would reboot , you may want to do a complete wipe and start over and then run unmodified for a while to see if the problem persists

i got yustun bean BTW...i got force closing in facebook and opera mobil and gmail sometimes...anyway...i didnt kno about edit build prop tweaks and i starting to using right now and se what happens...i found no much codes to paste in build prop, if you have some of them, you can paste here, so, when you say unmodified you mean like stock? ok there was a time that i use stock in girgenbread and works fine but is ginger, i really like ics and jb, in girgenbread often got black display and then lost my signal...but no restart no frezze...but ill give a try again to be unmodified but if u got some other tips i ill aprecciatee thanks

I believed that's your problem the Justin bean gapps try the link provided for gapps the dev provides specific instructions for a reason.hope that helps

Hey there, I have a similar issue, also running liquid smooth, where the infuse restarts and boot loops until I press the power button, then it starts up normally.
First I thought it was Pandora because it restarted when pressed on it but it also happens when I just text. It seems random. I have almost no apps installed and performed cache, davlik, data wipes before flashing the Rom.
I have around two reboots a day, and the battery drain it's pretty high, sometime when it restarts from the boot loop I have lost 3 or 4 percent of the battery just by rebooting... any ideas?!

yes...that is what it happen to my phone..but i edit build.crop tewaks and no restart from yesterdey.with liquid rom very nice rom...but a solution i dont have yet

Can you please explain what you did to get rid of the restarts? Sorry I'm a noob when it comes to the infuse 4g... thanks man!

Well the problem is not solved at all, but if has decreased markedly the reboots and the battery drainig problem, edit the file build.crop and place a few tweaks...check the super everything tread, in the mods part, you must search and find some mods tweaks and tutorials to work with

Hey man, I took a risk and sent my phone in to get the power button repaired and voila, after the repair I have not had a single reboot. My phone is around 15 months old and was rebooting more and more frequently. I hope this helps you as well!

[Q] Phone freezing and bootlooping frequently

Hi guys =)
After I unlocked bootloader and flashed a custom Kernel, my phone started freezing and sometimes it gets stuck on a bootloop. I've flashed two custom Kernels and the stock one, but nothing seems to help My phone freezing happens frequently. And I can notice some glitches when listening to music or using Chrome. Sometimes I'm doing nothing and it freezes. After a couple of minutes frozen I can use it again.
Do you have any idea on how to fix it? It's quite annoying if I must say.
Latest firmware btw. Rooted.

If you're using Phantom Kernel, may I suggest you to try version 4.5 like @faizalotai said to me on this. When I was using latest version, my phone freezes every time, but the downgrade solved the problem. You can get the v4.5 from attachments

It's exactly the lastest version I have flashed on my phone. I'll give it a shot. Thanks =D

I've never used TZ, 'cause I read in other posts that it mess up a bit the modules and kernel files, besides phone's heat up a lot and for some users they can only change kernel after a fresh FTF flash. Is this true?

Most certainly no! cos i have flashed phantom and back to TZ and then again to phantom and so on loads of times..
i never had any problems. And everything is working crisply for me. No heating issues, nothing..
Im on CM11. Using TZ 4.1 r-2

I'm using. 14 firmware yet, cause I need Bluetooth in my work, but this issues I told you are in 4.2.2, but I'm thinking in giving a chance to TZ

Just give it a try and let me know. Use the Voltage table given by him. And soon we will have bluetooth on our devices. Its all set already!
