Atrix 2 ICS by Q3? - Motorola Atrix 2

Just wanted to throw this out to the community, i'm new on here so sorry if this in the wrong place or is a repeat....
This convo was had 9/21/12 at 9:30 PM CST
Jingky: Hi, my name is Jingky. How may I help you?
Justin Blaylock: Hello. Is there any scheduled release date for ICS on the Atrix 2 for the USA? I know that your support page states that it will roll out in Q3, and with only 9 days left, I am hoping that Motorola will keep the schedule as it has been sent OTA to India.
Jingky: Good day, please know that we will be doing our best to help you with your concern.
Justin Blaylock: Has the status at least changed to testing? The support page hasn't been updated since July.
Jingky: Let me check on that for you. One moment please.
Jingky: Thanks for waiting.
Jingky: ICS update will be available within Q3. However, we do not yet have the exact date. I understand that we are already coming to the close to Q3, I am pretty sure that the update will be available within the coming days.
Jingky: Have I answered all your questions today?
Justin Blaylock: Yes. Thank you! Have a great day/night!

Puppets I swear, just pull their string and they spit out the same useless information as always.

Sir, there are MANY threads on this already. That and it should have been posted in the General section. Please search before posting as we have been aware of the schedule for ICS release on the A2 for quite some time. Most of us are running ICS already. Look around on the forums for information. Read the Stickys. Read the rules of XDA which you can find in my signature. Here are some good threads to start with:
How to be a new member.
OTA update to ICS and why to not install it
What you need to know about your Atrix 2 and ICS

They may be better informed over in that section.
On a more useful note, I read something about it being delayed until mid/late octover today, but then, I don't believe everything I read on tthe internet....

This doesn't mean that its the official froyo update. Hahahah Thats funny though.
Everyday someone gets a text about an update. Everyday someone posts a thread declaring that the new Froyo update is out right now for download. Everyday its just another text about JH7. Everyday I bang my head against my keyboard and wonder why people are so quick to post without knowing what they are talking about. Not to mention why they thought this was a development topic.
Oh boy here we go again.
Here we go again. I'm more interested in gb now anyway.

how many of these threads do we need lol.
This is like the 20th thread i have seen of the exact same post =)
God! And I get excited when I see something like this in Dev! Erg, I should know better by now! But like others said, JH7 ota, we'll know when froyo rolls out.
/close&delete thread before this gets out of hand.
Also this belongs in the Q&A or GENERAL forums not Development.
This ia FYI post. but if it does violate, please move it to the correct forum. please. Thanks.

I got those messages as well. Got on AT&T tech support chat to demand specifics. After managing to break through the language barrier and explain to the rep that I know what an OTA update is, but I wanted to know specifically WTH _this specific update_ did, she gave me this link: (edit forums won't let me post links, but it was a link to the android 2.2 sdk download...) and said that link would explain what was contained in the update that they were getting ready to push to my phone. Do I think she had any idea what she was talking about? Absolutely not.

Build 4349 Has Been Pulled !

I spoke with technical support for about the 10th time in 1 week, this afternoon and at aprrox 2 PM Easern time was told that the reason I can not update to 4349 is because it HAS BEEN PULLED !
So it took me nearly a week after buying my G Tab just to get to 3588 over the air as the servers were down most of last week. Now it looks like it will b a week more to get anything new.
I was told this during a conversation with US Merchants the 3rd party company supporting the G Tablet at (310) 228-4000 They also told me a new update is coming later this week.
There were other threads on this topic

You must NOT have read my post fully,
Neither of the two posts you linked mentioned what I said, that I personally confirmed by coversation with US Merchants the company who supports G Tab for Viewsonic that 4349 was Officially Pulled and Would Not be back up as a new update is in the works.
Thank you come again!

Then you should have added it to one of those threads.
Or the other 20 threads just like it
Mmm if he add that message it could maybe go unnoticed unless thread starter updates his post to reflect the update
Even if he contacts the thread starter there is no warranty tha he/she will want to share his post or Even credit him

thank you for the info. i for one am glad you didnt add it to page 30 of some other thread on the same topic and bury it.

Argggg, who wants to cross my bridge!!? Annoying to say the least.

What they meant to say is:
We already talked about this in the IRC. All forum posts are nullified by the IRC. Also, any pertinent information about the G Tablet can only legitimately be shared by Senior Members of the Forum. If you are not a Senior member and we haven't pal'd around with you on the IRC then STFU and DIAF! I don't care if Jeff Fisher, Alan Chang, and Larry Page personally delivered Honeycomb to your door in a media-event-flurry that is being covered live by Gawker! If you are not a Senior Member or this forum or an IRC buddy then it didn't happen, there are already other posts, and STFU.

So I guess you are volunteering to help the mods clean/close/merge all these duplicate threads.
For those of us that actually use the search function, it just makes it that much harder to find what we are looking for.
And I don't get on the IRC channel.
It's ok to create this thread... Thanks!

[Q] Stock ICS for SGH-I727

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a stable version of Stock ICS (not the new one with touchwiz) available for the SGH-I727.If pre-rooted that'd be awesome. I've been looking all over but haven't been able to find anything.
Sorry if this is a retarded question haha
Thanks allot!
Sorry to say you will not find a stock ICS for the skyrocket yet as it has not been released, or a date provided for it's release
As said above nothing yet. You might not get away without a flaming though. This gets asked a couple timed a week by new members. As soon as something pops up it will be in the development section and it will blow up faasssttt.
We have people working on it but its not ready for use yet.
**Sigh** same song, beginning to get old
Sorry guys, I apologize for asking a redundant question haha I just thought I'd ask if anyone knew of anything similar to the UI of the original ICS on the galaxy Nexus. Sorry again for any annoyance I may have caused.
no be sorry, this people always complain for anything. a least you post in the right section.
If you can't find it on here, it doesn't exist
Non-bricked Skyrocket since 2-11-2012
Its important to note that its in development on our dev boards called isotope no where close to being a daily driver

Officially no JB-disregard

Saw this on Android Central, with link to Motorola. https://forums.motorola.com/pages/00add97d6c Updated 12/6/12. Atrix 2 not on JB update. I don't venture here too much but didn't see an immediate thread with the update so thought I would pass on. I think most knew it wasn't going to happen when they rolled out the Trade Up program.
Disregard, thought 12/6/12 update made it "official". Mods please delete my clutter.
